my himalya automatically rose frm dead..but it was Jus showin the splash Screen..so i decided it Flash it
i put it into the bootloader mode n started flashing
but i encountered a Error during upgrading the radio ROm
This is wat i saw in the RUULlog.log file

18:22:29 Begin Stage 4
18:22:59 Radio Erase retry 1
18:23:29 Radio Erase retry 2
18:23:59 Radio Erase retry 3
now there is a splash screen n there it shows 'NO GSM' but i ttried flashing wit a Differnt rom but no Luck please Help me

my himalaya was on original rom ..then i tried installing 1.66 version i also tried wm2005 but no differnce .. the radio version cudnt b eearased ..it was givin me an error as Quoted above..i guess i hve to give it to the service center only (

my bad luck i try to update with that rom (Athena_SPL3.5_WM6.1_WWE_R6.1-Michy) after 92% rom got error & phone restart. after that my Ameo hang on startup. i put my phone into usb mode by pressing CAMERA key + POWER & try to upgrade with lot of diffrent roms but i got ERROR[244] INVALID MODEL ID (pic attached below) plz help me how can i update my phone in working condition??>......................
Dear friend
I think you have to install the original rom on your phone , not another cooked ROM.
If you can do that , your phone will be downgrade to original spl .

Set your wifi adress with Mtty software after that upgrade with original rom all ok.

right now i have stock WM5 Rom...
but last night i tried to flash WM6.1 fusion 9 Rom on my device..but
when i started RUU, everything was fine...but at last it showed
ERROR [300] INVALID UPDATE TOOL
history:
( previously i used same RUU to flash my phone....i was using Fusion 9.0 perfectly
but since i flashed wrong Rom so it bricked my phone....
than i gave my phone to HTC service center , they made it all right again..but they flashed stock WM5 ROM...
now i wanted to flash WM6.1 ROM but when i tried to flash than RUU showed this "ERROR [300] INVALID UPDATE TOOL" )
so....please tell me....what can i do to fix this problem ???

i think you are using wrong rom update utility...use the rom update utility that comes with the rom... and make sure that you are using the correct rom for old gene...which is your spl.
is it showing oref spl at tricolor screen then you must use jtag method......

dear.....i m using correct RUU as i used this RUU several times b4 i got my device bricked....
this problem is started after return of the phone from HTC service centre...
i hv tried almost all RUU which is available for gene..
and i also tried flashing almost 5-6 different roms...but same error all the time....i m using the same RUU which comes with ROM by default..
My SPL is 1.07.0000...

i m using olipro method for hspl...
in which spl doesnt change...it just temporary unlocked for me..
it was working perfact for me...
i hv used almost every ROM available for OLD GENE..
but last time bcuz of flashing wrong ROM m device got bricked...
since than this problem started ..

and..................i never got tricolor screen ....
whenever i hspl my device than phone reboots thn screen becomes white....thereafter...i used to flash ROM
everything is working well as usual upto white screen....
but at the time of flashing ROM RUU shows error....

Hey buddy, since you have given your ROM to HTC, they have again locked your CID, please go throught the stickey to how to flash again. Best of Luck
No Shaunak, there is something else wrong. He is saying that he tried to use the JumpSPL method. Its an alternative and temporary method to unlock CID for flashing ROM. HardSPL is different, it makes changes permanent.

2.The HTC people has changed your IMEI No ?
If Yes then ,Now after comming from service centre your Gene has become the new Gene.

and can u please tell me that how to check my phone's serial no. via phone only.
bcuz on the phone's box its serial no starts frm HT80XXX
but i found no way to check serial no frm the phone to confirm.

Remove the battery and you will be able to see the serial number. Please check the stickey by krazy. Now Old ROMs are appearing with 8xxx serial numbers!
Looking at your spl version, i could be wrong but I think yours is an old Gene

yeaa my phone has serial no starting form HT8XX
but it always works as old gene.
as before breaking my device , i almost flashed all the ROMs available for Old gene.
but mistakenly i flashed Krazy's Rom, cuz i thought tht my phone is also HT8XX
but later on i understood that my phone's SPL is 1.07.0000, which is for old gene..
anyhow my device became unbricked....but unable to flash the same Roms which i flashed in past...
so i m confused that wht is wrong with the device now..
i think that HTC guy has put some kinda Lock for flashing .. is that it ???
or is ther some other reason..
As dear rkpatro suggested that after returning from service center is has become new gene, but i am not satisfied with this . becuz everything is same as past time...
SPL n ONBL r also same as well as IMEI and serial no, even they flashed exact same ROM as it had previously..
so i m not getting that wht the problem is..
becuz everything is same , than y the Roms r not working..
i hv tried each Rom again which i was using in past...
but flashing ends up by error 300..
so guys,,,, please think something abt it...

Yes, HTC has again cid locked your device, I think it should be better to get help from the krazy's sticky post on flashing a locked Gene.

just wanna know.....that when i firstly flashed my device, than i used olipro's spl method
1.10-Olipro.nb
and Jump slp
that time my device was CID locked also, but i succesfully Flashed WM 6 Rom by this method/..
no error was ther..
now as u r sayin that its again CID locked.. so i followed exact same procedure as i followed for the first time....but this time i ended up with this strange error...

finally..............my problem has solved,,,,infact....my old gene has become new gene now....isnt it miracle...
nyways....even being onbl n spl 1.07.0000 originally....i successfully patched my device with hspl for new gene...and i installed Sumit's VanillaManila ROM ( for new gene)...
its working superb....thanks...!!!
my HTC3400 has been successfully unlocked and upgraded to WM6.1, cause not stable, so I upgraded the original ROM for HTC3400i with SD card,
when upgrating is almost finished, it stopped, shows "Invalid Certificate, Press any key......."
I have tried to recover it with backup ROM, and downloaded orginal WM5 ROM, and WM6.5, all not work.
I think SPL is wrong.
Now it shows like follows,
ONBL 1.19.0000
SPL 1.19.0000
when connect USB, shows USB on the left bottom.
How can I save it? Help!!!!!!

Take it to the service center. No options left. JTAG may help but that would be too risky if you are an average user.

i wish upgrade WM5.0 official ROM.thanks.
the story is complicated.
1)original is WM5.0
2)unlocked with gene_hspl.exe successfully.
3)upgrated with SD to WM6.1 successfully.
4)i downlaoded HTC3400i official ROM WM6.1, it remember the version is 6.1, i upgraded with SD, the upgrading is almost finished but stop and showed "Invalid Certificate, press any key to......"
5)whatever ROM i want to upgrade with SD or USB cable, all failed, including backup OS.nb+extrom.nb.
if try to upgrade with SD, showed "Invalid Certificate......", if try to upgrade with USB, showed only 2% or 3% then power on
6)when enter tricolor with ONBL 1.19.0000 and SPL 1.19.0000, "USB " shows on left bottom.
ok, what can you do?

Heh, trying to solve it yourself ? There is no official WM 6.1 ROM for P3400i from HTC otherwise we wont be moaning here for 4-5 months and given our 40-50 nights for porting WM 6.1 to gene. What you have flashed is something wrong and that has messed up your SPL CID as well as ONBL.
Anyways, Try if you can solve it yourself or get it solved somewhere

Do you already do a SPL unlock?
If yes, just flash with another ROM.
Go to bootloader by press and hold camera then reset, release reset but still hold camera untill tri color appear, connect usb cable to pc then flash again with another ROM.
How thing i have all ready done that?but show-me how i do to see if i done well

ur spl should end with .olip or .oref at the end instead of .0000
go to the tut given by Krazy and read many times use the tools and do the needful given in the same section viabhav has also given a tool

There is a thread named upgrading ... by krazy as well as a thread by vaibhav named automatic SPL Updater. Just search a bit, son.
or may be you can take the cell to haree who will patch it for you

After 6 hours of trying to change spl to flash the rom i haven´t manage to do anything more ist´s exactaly the same that i have all ready i have download a lot´s o rom´s and nothing i have tried the to do updating the spl by the sd card and nothing happen because i can´t put anything in the memory of the phone i only can put thing in the card from my computers card reader to trying to change the spl to 1.10-Olipro to flash the rom but i can´t

Any official ROM can not be flashed directly you must go through this process

You must remove spl.nb,gsm.nb and other .nb files but not os.nb because they will mess up with your device's spl and bricks it.
Since you have already flashed this ROM, unfortunately you've bricked your device.......
So, i would suggest you to patch your SPL via this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=472169 and then try to flash custom made ROMs.
Other way is to remove that bad flashed spl.nb file but don't know the method to do it....
