I have the same problem

the 1st time i setup a new mms account was a failure too, so i created another one. this time it worked & i have two mms accounts?
anyway, i did a clean install of 1.60c & followed the steps you mentioned (except 12. step 5, i placed "e" not sure if it matters at all?), mms account created the 1st time! i tried to send to my own cell number & received/download alright.
btw, i'm in indonesia too & using satelindo matrix. just for info if it would be of any help.
cheers!

audio
I got the ArcSoft MMS Composer 3.0.0.25 to work in principal. However, it appears that the audio objects are not properly imbedded. Everything seems OK until the message is really sent. After sending, when the message is moved to the "Sent Items" folder, the audio object still appears under objects, but there is no sound when I play the entire message. Message received do not show any audio objects under objects, but the tex field includes a string <<sound.wav>> if the name of the audio object was sound.wav? Any idea?

help
Will somebody please explain to me...
I can make the MMS account and that but nothing is sent or received.
Please

Be sure to configure the server correctly.

You should get the data from your provider.

Server name: A1.net
Gateway: 194.48.124.71
Port number: 9201
Server address: http://mmsc.a1.net
Connect via: My ISP
Sending size limitations: 250K
WAP Version: WAP 1.2

Thanks!!

But... (damn, why?)
I sent myself a message with a picture and the picture didnt came with the message, I just see a blank message and nothing more.

Lobster gprs settings

I am trying to keep the internet connection open (while some data is transferred) I have set up a dummy email account which sends & receives every 15 mins. This opens the connection but closes before the data is finished.
Is there a registry hack to keep the gprs open for say 5 mins.
Cheers

Alltel MMS wspheader settings

I'm trying to configure the wspheader settings in my registry for Arcsoft v5. Having a hard time understanding exactly what value to type and what string(s) to create. I know this might sound stupid and somewhat silly to must of you, but you someone shed some light on me?
Thanks!
Anyone? Lol.
These should be your MMS settings in your registry.
Code:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Arcsoft\ArcSoft MMS UA\Config\UI]
"SaveSentMessage"=dword:1
"Domain"="http://mms"
"CountryCode"=dword:1
"EnableRemoveCountryCode"=dword:0
"EnableSaveAudioObject"=dword:1
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Arcsoft\ArcSoft MMS UA\Config\mm1\MMSCSetting\Alltel MMSC]
"WAP1RecvDefaultSize"=dword:19000
"WAP1SendDefaultSize"=dword:19000
"PacketSize"=dword:3E8
"ConnectionVia"="{436EF144-B4FB-4863-A041-8F905A62C572}"
"WAP2SendDefaultSize"=dword:4B000
"WAP2RecvDefaultSize"=dword:FA000
"WAPType"=dword:1
"GatewayPort"=dword:1F90
"MmscURI"="http://mms.alltel.com/servlets/mms"
"Gateway"="mms.alltel.com"
"Name"="Alltel MMSC"
"ISP"="Alltel MMSC"
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Arcsoft\ArcSoft MMS UA\Config\mm1]
"DefaultSetting"="Alltel MMSC"
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Arcsoft\ArcSoft MMS UA\Config\mm1\WspHeader]
"Accept"="*/*"
"User-Agent"="Titan"
"Profile"="http://www.htcmms.com.tw/gen/Titan-1.0.xml"
"Accept-Charset"="us-ascii;utf-8;iso-10646-ucs-2"
"Accept-Language"="en"
"hmac-md5-key"="ph1uzoe52iuw"
That may or may not be in there already...I'm not sure if dcd removed that stuff from the carrier package cabs yet. If it is, leave it alone, if not you must enter it in. The entries that say dword are integers not strings.
Once that's all in you must navigate to HKLM\Software\Arcsoft\ArcSoft MMS UA\Config\mm1\WspHeader and create a new string called X-Alltel-MDN. Set its value to your 10 digit phone number.
Alright, did the changes using registry explorer, added the string, soft reset the phone, I tried sending an MMS to myself to verify the integrity of it. I'm getting the following error:
Warning!
Unable to send your message(s). Your message(s) will remain in the drafts folder.
Adding manually right now, will let you now how it works. Thanks!
Finished adding everything. Still no luck sending the MMS Message. Keep getting the same error code

that message means you have NO data connection at all setup... Run the ALLTEL cab that DCD posted on the 1st post, that should provision a connection for you....
That cab has already been installed. I can browse the web and everything in my 6800 without a problem.

WiFi not connecting at Work (home OK) on TMous HD2

Mark here.
Thanks in advance for any help offered.
Searched around here and elsewhere since last year & can't find a solution. (please don't copy whole message in reply)
Ideal solution either: 1. Able to store/save settings and password so it does not need to be entered every day (many times) or 2. Load certificate correctly.
I have a TMous HD2 running Energy ROM (Feb 2011 version)
Connects fine to home WiFi's without prompts. Also to about 10 others when traveling - no probs.
It does not connect easily to my work WiFi. I have worked out a method, but I need to re-enter settings and password many times a day. With high security p/w with various characters etc it's a real pain.
To do so, I have setup link to WLANSettings.exe on home screen. I use these settings: 1. Work (not internet), 2. WPA2/AES, 3. PEAP (not Smart card or cert). OK. Then asks for login, password (no domain needed). First time enter login etc it doesn't connect. Second time I've learned to hit OK again and after a few seconds it connects.
If I go though the 'normal' WiFi setup it asks for a Certificate. I enter the server for the cert, password as above and it will not find it. They gave me a cert file ('home grown' PEAP Authority certificate Thawte Premium Server CA) but it loads into Intermediate, not Personal and does not work. Apparently iPhone & iPad link to cert server and install it fine.
Tried:
1. I tried Odyssey (Odyssey Access Client for Windows MobileCE - Juniper Networks ). Helps, but not perfect, but it messes up my home connection. so uninstalled (updated ROM since then)
2. Tried programs to load cert. No go. (p12imprt, pfximprt; smartphoneaddcert). Various error messages - can't remember them - along the lines of not signed, not .pfx cert etc.
3. Exported cert. from PC's (WinXP) Firefox. Can't convert it to a .pfx to use the above.
Work does not support Win Mobile. So no support offered - though they've tried to help.
The settings for my mates Nokia which does work are:
PEAP and the fields are:
Personal certificate: not defined
Authority certificate: Thawte Premium Server CA User name in use: user defined User name: 'must leave blank'
Realm in use: user defined
Realm: 'must leave blank'
Allow PEAPv0: Yes
Allow PEAPv1: Yes
Allow PEAPv2: No
Under MSCHAPv2 within PEAP settings are
User name : your 'username'
Prompt password: no
Password: your 'password'
Have tried following also (rough notes):
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\EAP\Extension\25.
"InvokePasswordDialog" and "InvokeUserNameDialog" value 1, switch to 0. Works till restart.
go to commMan/ menu/ settings set work & proxy or commMan/Conns/conns
changed to HKLM, gone to directory comm\EAP\extension\25. added a folder called validateservercert and added a key to this folder - DWORD. it asks me to edit the DWORD value - in value data i have added 00000000 and selected hexadecimal.
add the key [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\EAP\Extension\25] and [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\EAP\Extension\26]

Mmm... 'tis a difficult one.
>"Ideal solution either: 1. Able to store/save settings and password so it does not

Another alternative would be software to manage WiFi login - that saves passwords.
I tried Odyssey, but it messed up home connections. WiFi Monster does not do it.
Anything out there?

Email in ACE SIII v7

This is a small tutorial in how to get working the AOSP ICS email app in ACE SIII rom by winxuser.
1-First of all download this app from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1728308&highlight=hotmail
2-Copy it to system/app using a root explorer and set permissions to rw-r-r
3-Reboot your device.
Note: If you want to sync a hotmail account follow this steps (thanks to xeni):
I was able to get it to work by doing the following however "Push" doesn't work so you will need to set a timer like 15+ minutes since hotmail doesn't allow anything lower then 15 mintues.
1. Enter username and password and click on manual setup
2. Choose POP3 setup
3. Server: pop3.live.com and Security Type: SSL/TLS Accept all certificates
4. Click next to outgoing settings
5. Verify smtp server is: smtp.live.com
6. Security Type: STARTTLS accept all certificates
I was able to send and receive email after performing the following setup.

[Q] Sprint EVO 3D flashed to Page Plus. Everything works but MMS.

Ok. This is a weird one for me. I bought a EVO 3D off of Ebay with a bad ESN. I didn't care about the ESN since I was going to flash it over to Page Plus anyways. So, I flashed it and got everything running for it...except MMS. Talk, Text, & 3G works fine. I tried creating a default APN settings using giffgaffAPN since I couldn't get to the APN settings by going to Menu-Settings-Mobile Networks (option wasn't there). I put in what I found online as the default settings for the new APN. The APN didn't show up in the list but I didn't see the old APN either so I took it for granted that all was right in the world. I tried downloading a pic I'd received earlier via MMS and still nothing. I was still able to surf on 3G still. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Thanks!
OS: Android 4.03
Dial ##3282# on your dialer and tap edit mode then enter your msl / spc. Then go to advanced. At the bottom you will have the settings option.
On some roms you can directly change mms setting from the message app>settings
EDIT : I see you edited it yourself.

Note: I just found username under data profile but no place to enter in password, MCC, or MNC.

I think I just figured out a step that I needed to put in. There's a field that says MMS Server URL that's just inside of the advanced menu that's a header like MMSC Setting. I put the MMSC URL into that field and I received those MMS messages that were previously just download. I need to try sending MMS messages now but unfortunately, last night, my SD card failed. I lost 16 gigs of pics (about 3k pics) and movies...including pics of the first time I held my son. Fortunately, most of those are on FB.
Thanks again for all of your help. Hopefully, when I get the new SD card in from IceMonkey.com ( Here's the one I'm getting and there's no referral link so I shouldn't get dinged for this ) and get some of the pics redownloaded, I can test out the send function on MMS.
