Hi guys, this is my first post here, sorry if i am putting this thread in the wrong section, i have a qtek 1010 and the SO is the PocketPC but is in French and i want it in english, what should i do? pocketpc is diferent from WM 2003 right?

The language could only be changed by flashing a new ROM to the device.

But before you flash your device, could you please make a backup of your Rom (described here: http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Wallaby_HT_FlashSD2)

ty 4 the answer i will try 2 do that, just one question can i use WM 2003 SE?
There is a Image of Wm2003SE, but it has some problems (Volumebutton does not work, ActiveSync do not start automaticly, ...) So that I´m thinking if you want to use te device in your daily life, you shouldn´t use it....

Hi guys,
I'am a newbie here, especially with ROM upgrades... Recently, I have just upgraded my O2 XDAII from WM2003 t0 WM 5.0. After a few days of using WM 5.0, It's mass software incompatibility cools me off and I'm deciding to downgrade back to the ROM which I'm originally used.
So guys, is anyone of you has the original WM2003 ROM image from O2 for XDAII? If you have, please kindly provide me a link, so that I could download it.
Other than that, is anyone of you also have the original WM2003SE 2.20 CHS ROM image from O2 for XDAII, as well? If you have, please also kindly provide me the link, as well.
However, original WM2003 & WM2003SE ROMs from non O2 is also acceptable... But I think I would prefer the one originally for O2.

You asked the same question about your Qtek 9090 12 months ago. Surely you've learned to RTFW in that time.
Under the Hermes WM6 there is an upgrade guide please read it.

You did have a 9090 when you posted on 25-04-2006.

And if your English really isn't so good you really will need to understand the above guide or you'll kill your phone.
DEFINATELY run Hard SPL v6 (SPL 1.40 Oli) before you begin because it'll save you problems later.

dear users i am in real touble i have a Qtek 9100 its language is italian i wanted to change it into english in pda here is no english language in it my friend tell me that your phone is G4 and your CID is open you can post your problem to xda forums and users helping you and he also tells me that i can get the english language by changing the wm5 to wm6 he dont have wm6 plz give me link of wm6 and tell me how to check that the Pda is G3 or G4 and what is this for thanks if you have and give me the good information i am new to pocket pc mobiles (plz! do this)

Please read the stickies and you will find the ShellTool method to flash a ROM to G4 device.
You don't need WM6 if you just want to switch to English. Look for the "Wizard Love" ROM (That can be flashed through RUU directly).
(Alternatively, you may try the new SoftSPL method)
