Jabra BT150, Motorola HS850, Nokia BH-700 dan V3 still have problem with static from bothside experience (caller and receiver).
And the rest Jabra BT330, Motorola H500, Nokia HS-36W have no experience with static but the most good enough but still not perfect for me is Nokia HS-36W. So i bought it.
I not yet try a2dp and voice dial feature, because i don't have voice dial program.
*Update August 17,2006*
Ehm, already try trick to pairing the Nokia HS-36W for the second times as High Quality Audio setup, but XDA IIs can't find it. That's mean Nokia HS-36W doesn't support a2dp.
Hope this usefull for others

from personal experience
Got a working bluetooth handsfree for my XDA IIs, at last....
I Tech Clip II mini... I am very confident that all I Tech Clip will work since they all use the same technology....
I was actually looking for Logitech mobile freedom, but couldnt find it, they give me the newer version, which is Logitech Mobile Traveller... not good... same story with Motorola H700....
So far I have tried Motorola H700, Jabra BT110, Jabra BT250, Logitech Mobile Traveller... all give static if distance is more than 30 cm......
Tried I Tech Clip, no static at all until distance is about > 2 m .. (i know BT Handsfree should work up to 10 m dist, but not with IIs - IIs has very crappy bluetooth hw/sf cause it is very difficult to pair with other hadsfree).
This is from my personal experience, and I am very happy now I can use bluetooth handsfree without static. My friend actually told me that the sound is v clear, and v loud too... Bought it for 170 Ringgit Malay when on holiday last week - get normal charger, usb charger, car charger - pretty cheap and good....
Just for you info, I am using WM5 (Helmi's) with latest bluetooth 3900 and 1.15 radio. I use keylock and big mike's fix for the bluetooth issue. It works for me, and I dont have to worry about accidentally pressing the screen when IIs turns on by it self caused by big mikes fix.
Cheers

decent fm transmitter

Hi guys, is there anywhere a small fm transmitter with mini usb so can be attached and powered directly from TC.Some range of Sony Ericson phones are offering some for their devices.
It would be very nice if we have something like that.
No luck searching the net

To be honest, I don't think there is such a thing as a decent FM transmitter. Why would you want to limit your entire music library to FM quality at best? There are so many better options out there from Stereo Bluetooth A2DP to direct line in options. But if you must go for imo poor sounding FM, maybe the Motorola T505 (it uses an A2dp connection to the phone and an fm connection to the radio and has a built in rechargeable battery).

Here are some others. Parrot and Venturi offer similar solutions. Ego has some high end (non-FM) models.

Well, I don't know but I am not realy aiming to get the perfect sound out from my car stereo.I ve got a cheap transmitter which works just fine, but you still have to connect cables and chargers and it is mess in the car.
Of course there are so many better ways to connect via bluetooth,or change your car stereo with a b/t compatable and so on, but I don't want to spend £100-£200 just to listen music in my car.
Regards
Not sure if it's available in the UK yet, but I'm very pleased with my Venturi, http://www.myventuri.com/
Looks cool, A2DP-in, line-in, line-out, FM-out, charges HTC via mini-USB, shows song titles via RDS (depends on media player support) and has a surprisingly good sound quality through FM. Maybe a bit too much bass boost but I like it. The only disadvantages for me are (a) that it powers off instantly when the cig-lighter power drops (and doesn't reconnect automatically but there are WM tools to help with that) and (b) it fakes the Travel Pilot signal so the radio won't change to the 'real' FM TP when broadcasted.
It's maybe not the cheapest option (~100€) but it's something I can definetely recommend.
Yes I ve seen those kits as well, and they are available in UK.I was just thinkig-first you connect via bluetooth and then the device sends it through FM so whats the point?
So having just FM transmitter like this one will be ideal...

Maybe soon in China they will make one

I would like to buy ventury mini, but i have a question about handsfree function: I have a touch cruise (it is not in list at ventury webpages, but i hope it is supported too) and in every HTC phones it has not Phonebook use. So my question is, if I would like make a call, so I stop the music on the phone and press the call button on ventury and ON MY PHONE select contact and call. An incoming call just pick up by ventury mini green phone icon. Is that true? Or it is not possible to use it like handsfree with touch cruise because is not supported Phonebook use.
What is correct. Thank you
Not sure if I understand you 100%. But the Venturi works fine with the Touch Cruise (I have one too).
It does not support the phonebook, but that is no problem - you just make the calls with the phone, not the Venturi. Just use the phone as you normally do (start call / accept call / hang up etc) and the Venturi will act as your "remote microphone" and connection to the car speakers (via radio) if you know what I mean. There is no need to touch any key on the Venturi if you don't want to.
How about this one?
Any opinions?

Dear all I confirm: Venturi mini and Touch Cruise works just fine. In Italy it is quite difficult to find free FM frequencies, but once you find one the quality is good indeed. And also the microphone works good.

Cruise to CarAudiosystem with BT

Hi!
Got a little question I hope someone here can help me with.
Is there a way to connect the mediaplayer in Cruise to the caraudiosystem with Bluetooth?
I got a NissanQashqai with BT handsfree and it works great in general (there are some complaints in microphonequality though...)
I had hoped it should be possible to play music from the cruise via the BT connection aswell, but sofar no sucess.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
Pair it and then use BTAudio (if needed)
You should check the pairing guidelines of your car with a bluetooth enabled device. Follow those steps and you should be able to pair your cruise with the bluetooth of the car. Ofcourse, you'll have to make your device discoverable. Also, If you experience that all audio is not being transferred to your paired device (your car), use a utility like BTAudio on your cruise. Hope this helps.
Music is only supported through car systems with the A2DP profile. You need to check car's manual to make sure it actually supports A2DP. However, the majority of oem systems don't support this and only a few aftermarket systems do. Besides going aftermarket, as reccomended by the above poster, BTAudio can provide a makeshift fix, however the music quality will be poor as it will be at best telephone quality (liken it to listening to music through a phone call).
Aftermarket is truly the best way to go if you want wireless. Here are a few pics of my io Play setup which supports the handsfree and headset profies (HSF/HSP) as well as the stereo music and remote control profiles (A2DP/AVCRP).

12V FM transmitter with USB connection to Cruise
As I have checked around and tried to get a easy solution for connection via BT, I now beleve there are none. The car is simply not fitted with so advanced BT system, too bad. It would be so simple and neat if it worked...
Anyway, lurking around and reading all about FM-transmitters instead, but not really finding a good product here either.
It would be nice with a 12V FM transmitter, fitted with an USB connection, where the crusie will get powersupply and identyfies the FM transmitter as a wired headset.
I bought one model to try it out, http://www.clasohlson.se/Product/Product.aspx?id=16990147
but had no sucess, it charges ok, but it does not see the charger as a headset and sends out the sound. The transmitter needs to see the Cruise as a USB-memorystick, and controls the USB-stick with stop/play/fwd/bwd.
Anyway, tried the WM5 storage 1.73, but it does not seem to work...
Any ideas of a better product or a solution?

[2009.07.01 Updated] - AutoA2DP - The smallest A2DP Toggle application

Hi all.
I found that when we connect a paired Bluetooth Headset with WM it will set as Handsfree by default,but not A2DP Wireless Stereo,we have to set it manually,that is a little annoying work,so I write this small application to do this.
-WM5/WM6 Supported.
-No TSR(terminate-and-stay-resident),no Background running process
-Developed in C,fast execute speed and small file size(5KB with signature)
Learn About "AutoA2DP.ini"
AutoA2DP.ini is a text file which used to point out an application that AutoA2DP will launch after A2DP Mode toggled.
This file must local in \Windows folder,it is an one-line text,for example:
wmplayer.exe
Means that AutoA2DP will launch wmplayer.exe after BTH Headset paired.
You can edit this line with other application,for example,to launch TCPMP,you can replace words with this line:
\Storage Card\TCPMP\PLAYER.EXE
If you want launch nothing,you can delete AutoA2DP.ini
Update log:
The "Semi-Auto" version released.
Download AutoA2DP_with_Confirm.zip if you want to confirm manual(After 30 seconds it will quit as "Cancel" in silent).
The another version will set to A2DP mode automaticlly.

}
Installation:
1.Copy AutoA2DP.exe to \Windows folder
2.If you want it launch application automaticlly,edit text file "AutoA2DP.ini" to write your application file name(e.g,wmplayer.exe) and copy it to \Windows folder.
3.Run it,or run install.lnk instead,it will install in silent,NO MSG SHOW,after that you will find [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\Notifications\AutoA2DP_by_xiaojin1985] entry in Registry.
Usage:
Open a paired Bluetooth Headset in range,it will toggle to A2DP mode automaticlly,you can see that musical icon appear in Titlebar.
Uninstallation:
Run AutoA2DP.exe with parameter "-u"(AutoA2DP.exe -u),or run uninstall.lnk instead.
Enjoy!

oops...I tested it with WM6.1,Cotulla's ROM,Magician.
Here are 2 debug app for you.
First pair your BTH headset and run CheckConnected.exe,a Message Box will show out to tell you current status,what it say?"Nothing"/"Handsfree Connected"/"A2DP Connected"?
Second,set your BTH headset as Wireless Stereo,run CheckConnected.exe again,what it say now?
Third,run ToggleA2DP.exe,can it switch your BTH headset between Wireless Stereo and Handsfree?
I don't have WM6.5 environment so I don't know whether the bth_sign is changed or not...
thanx for the reply
it says handsfree connected !
how can I pair it to be wirless connected
Anyhow ,, I'm using BTaudio , it's a manual app to get stereo work !
But I need you to help me in making the sound voume loader i,e, how can I raise the sound volume for my BT headset ?!

First off thank you. This was a serious issue for me when using all WM's up to 6.1. Since I've used 6.5 my AD2P has connected automatically.

It doesn't work with HTC Touch 3G
thanks for the awesome work at last found a A2DP toggle s/w..
I would advise, after installing, to manually connect your headset in stereo mode once. That made it work for me.
I have 2 stereo BT devices, a headset and a speakerbox. Could it be that the tool only connects to the last one you used?
Anyhow, great tool, thanks!! There used to be others around like this, but they all needed to run in the background, consuming battery etc...

Always on "Handsfree connected"?
After you set it as Stereo,run this app again it say "Handsfree" also?
Can ToggleA2DP.exe switch to A2DP mode?
I use this Notification to get status:
On WM6.1 when a stereo headset connected,system report a SN_BLUETOOTHSTATEHANDSFERECONTROL_BITMASK,and then system start my app and set it to A2DP and quit.
DWORD GetA2DPStatus()
{
DWORD lpStatus = 0;
HRESULT hr;
hr = RegistryGetDWORD(HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE,
TEXT("System\\State\\Hardware"),
TEXT("Bluetooth"),
&lpStatus);
if(SUCCEEDED(hr))
{
if(lpStatus & SN_BLUETOOTHSTATEA2DPCONNECTED_BITMASK){
return SN_BLUETOOTHSTATEA2DPCONNECTED_BITMASK;
}else if(lpStatus & SN_BLUETOOTHSTATEHANDSFERECONTROL_BITMASK){
return SN_BLUETOOTHSTATEHANDSFERECONTROL_BITMASK;
}else{
return lpStatus;
}
}else{
return 0;
}
}
So I want to find out a more common way,can someone export the value "Handsfree" and "Bluetooth" under [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\State\Hardware] when your device at Normal,Handsfree,Stereo mode?I want to know if people connect their headset with system,"Handsfree" will change or not,on my device it changed to 1.
Yes Sir
It always stays on " handsfree Connected " !!
I can't toggle it into A2DP mode !
plz help
I have a question suddenly...
What kind of BT headset you use?I found that BTAudio is a tool that make Mono BT headset output sound....Only Stereo BT headset support A2DP...
Don't know really
But I think it has A2DP ,,,
It is Micro Smart MS-905i
Wanna ask you about yours ,, in BT settings ,, what options it gives ,, handsfree only or with another thing ?!
BTW,, on that Registery Headset and handsfree both are 0 when not pairing and when pairing handsfree is only 1
Maybe that's the way it actually is, but just looking at it seems like it has a typo. Shouldn't SN_BLUETOOTHSTATEHANDSFERECONTROL_BITMASK be SN_BLUETOOTHSTATEHANDSFREECONTROL_BITMASK?
Working Grrrrrrrrrreat on my iPAQ 610c WM6.1, thanks it's exactly what I needed.
Works great with my Fuze and NRG's 3.0 ROM! I was using Teksoft's A2DPToggle, but that appears to have some conflicts with 6.5 and frequently locks it up. With your AutoA2DP my BCK-08 BT clip works flawlessly. Thanks!
Semi-AutoA2DP?
Any chance of a "Semi-Auto" mode? I use my bluetooth stereo headphones with my Lenovo notebook and my WM6 device. Ideally, when your util detects the headphones I'd like to see a popup notification similar to:
"Stereo headphones detected. Pair?"
(with yes/no buttons)
Is this possible?

[APP] BT Audio Toggle

Before I go any further I want to explicitly express that I only have made this small release to make my own life a little bit more comfortable. I make this remark because I do not want to offend the developer of the basic component of my release in any way.
My release relies completely of the functionality that Vijay555 built into his VJVolubilis release. This great piece of software (that has much more features than I use) can be found here: http://www.vijay555.com/?Releases:VJVolubilis
===========================================================
As I have a Bluetooth carkit with a reasonable sound quality, I wanted to use this carkit to play podcasts over my car speakers. VJvolubilis is very well capable of toggling the BT Audio gateway, so the functionaliuty is available (see link above). But I wanted this functionality to be better accessible when driving.
So I created:
- A Icon resource with a Green and a Red BT icon
- 2 shortcuts that send the agon/agoff parameter to VJVolubilis in order to switch on of off the BT Audio gateway and that make use of the customized BT icons
Having it all (together with the VJVolubilis executable) in a single installer cab gives me just what i wanted. The shortcuts are placed in a Start menu programs group "BT Audio" (please note the custom icons apparently will only be visible in the start menu after a soft reset).
I have put the two shortcuts on my Sense shortcuts (in Sense the custom icons are visible right after intall !), so i can now switch the BT Audio gateway on and off quite easy (ie when driving).
I use this on WM6.5 and Sense 2.1 on my MDA Vario IV / HTC Touch Pro
One more remark on the credits: This release relies hugely on the work that Vijay555 put into VJVolubilis

Absolutely!
I don't know if VJVolubilis still works as well as it should as I haven't looked at it for quite some time, but the code I used should work on all Microsoft Bluetooth stack phones, so absolutely, be my guest
V
Well VJVolubilis has been working on WM5 and WM6.x for me to toggle the BT Audio Gateway. So you did quite a good job back in 2006!!
I tried this on my tilt2 with EnergyRom and on clicking BT Audio On does nothing. When I turn on bluetooth it's connecting as heatset, but for stereo , it's connecting when I select stereo audio from communication manager/ bluetooth. But with this cab file installed nothing happens. It's really difficult to go to settings every time connecting to audio.
I am not sure if Rhodium has Microsoft stack or not. Does it only work with Microsoft stack?

This app will NOT use the Stereo capabilities of the phone.
It just opens the BT Audio gateway that normally is used for telephone calls via Bluetooth. This way you can use any ordinary BT carkit (or headset) to e.g. listen to podcasts.
The quality is reasonable. Also, after any phone call coming in you will have to re-open the gateway (as the phone app closes it alfter ending the call).

[Q] Wifi issues with active bluetooth connection

Hello.
Recently i discovered a annoying and big problem with wifi, while phone is receiving and sending data over BT (bt icon in taskbar becoming blue). So, when i tried BT keyboard, i noticed that internet over wifi just stopped working, i also tried this keyboard with Samsung i9000 and P6800, no issues with any of them. Now i've tried a BT stereo headset, and wifi died again, not only it stops sending and receiving data, it also loses signal and available wifi networks.
Here is how wifi works when music is playing in bt headset:

It seems like nexus 4 has this issue, as well as most of the phones with snapdragon cpu, for example, my xperia mini has the same exact problem.

Don't really think that this is a modem problem, it looks like an interference between bt and wifi, because they are working on the same frequences, that's explain why people using 5ghz have no issues. And the xperia mini have same exact problem, while they two have qualcomm rf module, and all the rest is different. Also, i know another person with e975, who have the same problem.
