Tytn Rom on an m3100 ...Possible? - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam Software Upgradin

As title is it possible to install the Tytn rom on the orange m3100 without problems?

I have a Hermes 100 (same as the M3100) that failed ROM upgs
I have a Hermes 100, that I believe is exactly like the Orange m3100 that I have tried to flash with both roms and it is now stuck in boot loader mode until I figure out how to get a rom flashed to it. No OS.
I have another one that is also a Hermes 100, the same, that flashed fine with the CHT9000 ROM.
*shrug* Not sure what's up. But I know what's down....one of my Hermes 100's!!!

If it's a production model you should be able to flash from the boot loader. If you have tried the method described in the wiki (run the RUU two times, without disconecting the device) and that fails, you can try using the MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe and report if this method works for you.
BUT if it is a preproduction model (the one with 300Mhz processor) then most probably the rom upgrade will fail and you'll need to wait until sombody finds a solution for flashing those units.

The preproduction unit has a 300 MHz processor, without the final button layout and slight different color.
EDIT: See both units here:

Question for Sofbank Janpan device in Dopod Chinese rom?

Hello to all professional user:
As I check the informations of the softank with mtty.exe and device infomation, found some questions for CID, radio and rom upgrading.
On device informatin show as following:
{

Rom date: 07/24/06
On boot mode:
Softbank SPL1.04, IPL1.01
mtty.exe shown the CID is HTCSVODAK801??HTCEUSB, and Level = FF,
(Not SuperCID)
Think the seller in H.K. only did changed the rom from 1.33.761.4 ?? to 1.23.708.4 07/24/06, but didn't made it SuperCID.
I'm wondering how can I use it in H.K. without SuperCID ??????
Because of bootloader version 1.04 is allow to flash rom without checking CID, and the rom date is before 12/01/2006, I assume it can be upgrade to new radio and rom versoin (as XDA reminder: X01HT which sold after 12/01/2006 is not allow to upgrade) !!! Am I right ?
So, can I make it SuperCID with " HTC_Hermes_SIM_Unlock_v2a " software pack and SSPL-HERM.exe under the above conditions ?
If not, is it possible for just bypass the procedure of SuperCID and go ahead for radio and rom upgrade ?
Thanks for your reply first,
I just wanna know, base on the existing hardware and software conditions, does my machine can/need unlock or not?
Because I'm afraid it hangs after update the AKU3.3, thanks thanks thanks !!!
I also got my Softbank X01HT in HKG, Mongkok to be precise and it was also flashed with Dopod rom 1.23 (english version). I just made it supercid as per instructions contained with in the wiki. Since then I have flashed it with the SA HTC rom 1.35 then downgrade the BL to 1.04 and have now loaded aku 3.3 HTC Test rom. All in english. I believe if you spend sometime reading the upgrade procedures contained in the wiki you will have no probs however I cannot comment on the chinese roms. This is a great site with some truely clever people working on these devices
Thanks the reply !!!
What is your SPL at first ??? does it unlocked before your flash the new rom ???

Originally it was SPL 104
When I flashed it with the SA rom 1.35 it went to SPL 109 so I downgraded back to SPL 104.
Now I have flashed it with HTC test rom aku3.3 and it is SPL 109 again

Trying to unlock/cid/sim/ load new 6.1 OS into a G4 Orange SPV M3000

Now I been reading all of the stickies and after much confusion and some more readin i found myself into the correct Vista RUU loader, now for the ROM I found through orange one that has an extension of .nb0 and one on this forums ftp of .nbh which is the one I should be using once I do the soft spl and cid unlock?
I also kept getting a error connection saying my update utility is out of date, then with the Vista one(after installing all drivers etc) I get a connection error but only with those tool I am able to connect with the vista mobile device center with no problems before and after installing the 32bit drivers, should I be trying to load the files in the main phone menu or in boatloader? Cause I've tried both ways and receive the 2 previous mentioned errors.
I just don't know what I am doing right with those, if helps you guys help it is a Orange M3000 with I believe german ROM...sorry If I couldn't find the answer I have been reading for a few hrs before I decided I need to post for proper direction on doing this....

ahh, well, let me commend you brother for actually reading and searching before posting a problem! Much appreciated! But lemme ask you this...what is your phones info? IE-IPL/SPL, is it a G3 or G4? Once you can provide us that information, then would should be able to better assist you!
Sorry forgot that info for the SPL, I know its a G4 since the examples I read talked about the 3 leading 0's, but specifically it is
IPL/SPL: 2.16.0001
GSM: 01.04.10
OS: 2.16.1.1
Mkay, what I would recommend is going ahead and Hard-SPLing your phone(look for the Hard-SPL thread in this subforum, and follow the instructions EXACTLY!), and then upgradeing your GSM radio ROM to 1.69.X or something similiar, seeing as the one that you have is REALLY old. Upgraded radio ROMs offer better connectivity then older ones do. After you do both of those things, you can then safely upgrade to either WinMo 6 or 6.1...hope that helps!
Tried the HardSPL and got this:
Do I need to have a ROM(nb.nbh) loaded in the same folder as the Hard-SPL.exe I used?
No ! you don't have to have a Rom in the HardSPL folder,just Activesync with pc and run the HardSPL,it'll start to flash,don't worry if the screen goes white,it part of the procedure,but I assume you are trying it on WinVista.HardSPL doesn't work on Vista,better try on a pc with WinXP.

[Help] Problem of using the Hard-SPL-V7 for updating ROM

My phone model is x01ht, currently I am using WM6.0, and I want to update to WM6.1, so I use Hard-SPL-V7 and follow the instructions to update.
However, when I was at the below step, the image Ver. was 1.00.000.0 instead of Hard-SPL-2.10, and the instructor didn't say anything about the situation I have at this moment. Below picture is my case:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
and the following one is the correct case:
How can I change the Image Ver. into the correct one? Please Help, and thanks in advance.
That is the same screen I got also, but I went ahead and flashed anyway (I like living on the edge! ) It did update to hard spl, so you should be okay.
Really? Since I was afraid my PPC would become a brick, I just can do nothing with this case. Thanks a lot!
Hard SPL doesn't update
I have image version 3.54.263.2
And when i try to update to hard-spl 2.10 it seems like it doesn't copy the image to the device ( Hermes 200 ).
It says the update is complete but when i check the device again it hasn't updated at all.
wm 6.0
Rom : 3.54.263.2
Rom date 07/09/07
radio : 1.47.00.10
ext rom : Rom : 3.54.263.102
anyone have a clue?
You're looking at the rom version, NOT the SPL. You need to go to bootloader to check your SPL - hold ok button above flywheel, power button and reset with stylus, hold all three in until you get to the tri-colour screen (AKA bootloader). You should then see your IPL and SPL. reset normally to get out of bootloader.
Cheers...

Its not possible to flash a t01a rom to a tg01, first you must do some conversion.
I am no expert and do not claim to know how this is done but here are a couple of things to get you started,
Cedesmith TGTool Info
arag0n85's TG01 to T01a convertor
These pages tell you how to convert a TG01 rom to a T01a but i'm sure it can be done the other way round, consider PMing them maybe.

Thanks for your advices.
But, I want to put the t01a rom to a tg01 for a Japanese guy. 'cos the
docomo t01a is sim-locked, and the normal tg01 didnt come with jap fonts and
input method.
Novembre5 flashed his TG01 with Japanese Radio and it got sim locked.
now if I understand right you want to flash a TG01 with T01A rom, I belive you should try http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=659589 and then change radio before flashing.

I already posted that link 2 posts up, that will only change a tg01 rom to a t01a rom, to go the other way some modification of the batch file will be required.
I'm also trying to flash a Japanese ROM on my TG01. But so far, none of these methods seems to work.
1. flashing the official ROM from Docomo, using both SDDL and PIN-method, returns a file error, the tool from docomo says the file's corrupted (I didn't change anything)
2. changing the flash files' extension from .tsd to .tsw/.bin, same error
3. use the tgtool.exe/cotulla tool to repack the flash file

This seems to be the most promising way. I tried to unpack the original .tsd-file with the -T01A parameter and repack it with the -TG01 parameter, but still no luck. Anyways, I'm not too sure how this tool exactly works, so maybe you have better ideas. Any suggestions?

You must Have HSPL!
- Do a task 29 (not essential, but recommended)
- Flash the 2.10.50.08_2 radio (not essential, but recommended)
- Flash The ROM
- Hard Reset (hold the volume up and down button once the flashing reaches 100%)
- Post your feedback
That's taken from Shu.[OP] that was posted on Cruzer's HD2 ROM. It's what you need to do to flash a ROM. Long as you don't use a .51 radio, you're fine. Example: 2.10.50.08_2 is good for Tmobile USA, but if you had a .51 in the radio, it'd brick your cell. All the basics are covered in the tutorials in the HD2 General forums or just do a search for it. Make sure you do the right HSPL. You can do a search to find that out as well. To get into bootloader, just pull the battery and hold down the bottom part of the volume button and then put the battery back in and turn it on. Hold it till you see the rainbow screen. Dusk is good for TMOUS. I've used it and it's pretty cool.
Think I had wrong radio. Trying to recover now...

Doesn't have to be the one I listed. I use 2.12.50.xx
Dusk Is Compatible with T-Mobile.
To every one that want to know.
Of course Dusk Roms can be used on the T-Mobile US
Reason I am so sure and why veru easy to check is that
all of his Beta Theme has T-Mobile US to flash his test roms
on.
