Need some advice for the Vario 2 I just ordered. - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam Accessories

Hi,
Ok I have a list of accessories I need for my Vario 2 but would like some advice.
Here is the list of stuff i want to get:
1) Docking Cradle
2) 1 GB MicroSD
3)Case
4) Screen Protector
5) Bluetooth Headset
1. - Found the docking cradle no problem.
2. - Is it really worth getting a Ultra II MicroSD to a normal MicroSD card? Or should I wait and get a 2GB MicroSD as seen them for 50 quid now.
3. - Gonna wait for a case as the ones I have seen so far arn't appealing to me.
4. - Found these screen protectors are they any good?? - http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/product/11349.htm
5. - Help have no clue don't really want to spend more than £35 if possible but want it comftable and have clear reception.
Thanks for any advice you can give.

screen protector
i have never used the martin fields screen protectors but the one i always use is the EXIM Spuc screen protectors....i have used these on all my htc devices......very recommendable as they are crystal clear and you wont notice its there at all.....plus you dont have to tap the screen extra hard while the protector is on compared to the other brands ive used......

1Gb Micro SDs here for £17.99

Thanks for the info.
I went ahead and ordered a few things from mobilefun in the end to save on postage. But I got my memory from mobymemory as they were doing a special on a usb reader which is gonna come in handy as a pen drive as well.
So here is what I bought from Mobilefun:
Docking Station - was not in stock so won't get for a while
Martin Fields Screenprotector - also wasn't in stock, really hope it gets here soon as I can't stand the one that came with my Vario 2
USB Car charger - has a USB connector and a cigerette connection the other end, havn't tried it yet will do today
Jabra BT500v - Not really used BT headsets before so just getting used to it. Larger than I thought but quite comfy so far. Only problem is I can't get it to do Voice Commands on my Vario 2 so looks like I am gonna have to try some hacks.

Help with accessories

Hi, I have recently purchased a TyTN and know about to purchase some accessories but I need some help.
Here is what I want:
- BT headset- Does anyone have a good recomendation of one to get there seems like so many choices?
- Case (silicon): are these worth it?
- Craddle: I assume the ones on eBay are Okay the HTC one seems a bit over priced, anybody have an opinions?
- GPS: I have seen the cheap units on eBay, do these work and are they worth? or are there better solutions?
- Battery: any recomendation on which vendor to buy a spare batterz from?
- Sreen Protector: I think I will get the ultra clear, because I still want a crystal clear screen.
Thanks in advance for the help,
Mike
I use a Vaja case so don't have any experience with silicon.
I use a PPCTechs AG Write shield screen protector - I think they are the best. Bought from Expansys.
I have the official HTC cradle. It is expensive but well built and has a spare battery charging slot.
I got a spare standard battery.
I bought those from MobileFun.
I tried the iClip S35 bluetooth headphones but had too many problems with stuttering playback. I'm now waiting for a Motorola Sound Pilot to arrive - again from MobileFun.
I use a TomTom GPS receiver - works really well.
Hope this helps.

MUST HAVE HTC DIAMOND 2 accessories

It has been over the month for my HTC Diamond 2, I want to get full case for it and do what ever is possible with it to maximize it.
What do you recommend?
I was thinking invisible shield full body. What else would you add to this list?
A mini-usb adapter probably, mini-usb to 3.5mm.
AetieQ is right.. mini adapter is really useful!! i got 1.. how bout capcase??
I think invisible shield by ZAGG is the most important accessories too.I got the full body last month. It is the best case I have ever seen.
Mine would be the hard case or at least a cheap leather case..
this is what i've ordered from amazon few days ago:
Desktop cradle - there are many variations, mostly different in shape. Note that htc cradles cost about triple the time...
Air-vent mount holder - for those that don't like the whole stick of most widescreens .
ZAGG shield - ofcourse.
And a car charger.

That link is for the Touch Diamond cradle, does it fit the TD2 ?
Am using the soft plastic body casings. I used to use the Silicone variants on my HTC touch but they stretch after a while and have to be replaced. They also trap alot of dirt. Just look up HTC Diamond 2 soft plastic cases on ebay, they are inexpensive and are excellent protection. I dropped my BRAND NEW TD2 yesterday and the casing protected the phone, not a ding or dent. That's my must have accessory!

DUH! I didn't notice that
But here's the TD2 version: http://www.amazon.co.uk/iTALKonline...4?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1253622044&sr=1-4
The car charger reminded me of something...
The other day I was leaving for school and noticed that my battery was almost out. So I remembered that I have a cheap USB-MP3-Stereo in my car so I grabbed the usb-cable from my computer and headed for the car. So I plug the other end on where the usb memory stick is usually in and the other end on my TD2. The phone prompted me on what mode to use so I selected the mass memory. As It turns out, I could recharge my phone at the same time I was blasting the songs on my phone out of the speakers. I was really impressed
My must-have accessories for my new HTC Pure would include the following:
--full body Zagg Skin
--Silicone body skin
--Carrying Case; my preference is a horizontal leather with both clip and belt loops
--Multiple USB to 3.5 mm adapters; keep one in the cars, on the motorcycle, wherever I may find myself. They're cheap and very useful
--Battery charger; either the rechargeable kind or the one that runs off a AAA battery that also doubles as a flashlight. I have both
--Several earphones; same idea as the USB adapters.
I have wired remote yet, just perfect. using my topaz as player without touching and turning the screen off... (using with pocket player)

any mounts for the CompactV?

If there is such a thing - could anyone point me to a car-mount for the T-Mobile verision of the Topaz?
I am actually looking for a simple mount - passive - no extra joints or windsheeld mounts. BUT as I seem to be very unsuccessful I would be happy for any link to something I can 'work with'
Just bought one 'specially made for Comapct V' which turned out to be a Topaz mount also ... seller says 'there are none - just be sure to use it in portrait mode - it fits good enough - or use a universal one'. Don't know if I will try to modify it or send it back ...
Any help appreciated!
the compact V has the problem of having the cap in front of the usb-jacket. No way you can use an activge carkit that way, the cap sits always in the way
I'm not looking for anything active...
Just sent the topaz-mount which was sold to me as a compactV-mount back today. Although the shop said 'they will never build one' - "Herbert Richter" replied that it will be available!
I did order it in a shop they recommended and hope to get it soon.
I presume the passive holder works equally well, but I am using the Brodit 512011 holder for my Compact V. Just swing the usb cover to one side and it connects to the active holder OK:

Keith
I bought this one !
I bought this and it works a treat.
http://www.handtec.co.uk/product.php/188/herbert-richter-pda-smartphone-grip
Had the plastic moulded one for my MDA Compact IV so just bought this and mounted it on the same holder.
The little pins at the bottom slide back and forth so you can position them to have access for USB charger and also the annoying USB cover.
Hope this helps
Martin
Using Brodit passive holder incl. special screwless mounting for my car. Better than all standard holders.

[Q] Car holder for Xperia Neo?

Hi everyone,
can you recommend me a good sturdy car holder for the Xperia Neo? I have bought this one http://www.dealextreme.com/p/universal-car-swivel-mount-holder-black-81053 as it had positive reviews, but the holder is really useless. The swivel section does not hold in place at all, so after several minutes the phone starts facing a direction where i cant see the display.
Basically i need the following:
- holds phone from 4 directions
- does not cover any of the buttons (incl. volume buttons)
- does not cover the loudspeaker
- can be turned horizontally
- (ideally) can be mounted on dashboard as well (my car has the lighter connector way to far from the windshield).
Well I'm searching a car holder too but I can't find anything that please me. I'll let you know if finally I found something worth to buy!
so far this is the one that looks the best, but 20 eur for a noname car kit seems to much for me... http://www.ipshop.sk/sony-ericsson-...p-2000.html?osCsid=ctachbj3vmfhjumbgagr828l45
I can't see your link but 20 € is really too much, I don't really use my phone as a navigator every day...
I bought one for 5 dollars but the only issue I have with it is it covers the volume buttons. Would like to see a good car holder for this phone too.
Sent from my MT15i using XDA App
There is the clingo http://www.amazon.co.uk/Clingo-Univ...P9A2/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1317411036&sr=8-2
I read good things about exomount, and i think i'm going to buy this one.
But it will cover volume buttons.

looking at the design of the exomount i am afraid it will not only cover the volume buttons but will also permanently keep at least one of the pushed... it seems to be overpriced as well. but anyways if you decide to get one please share your experience
With my current (cheapy) holder the phone is a bit hard to get into place and if i center it, it's touching one of the volume buttons and always playing around so I have to put it off-center which, when driving can make the phone jump around a little. hope to find a better car holder soon.

I bought this one http://www.dealextreme.com/p/universal-plastic-car-swivel-mount-holder-with-suction-cup-for-cell-phone-gps-black-81246 cause I'm also using a TPU cover on my Neo.
But you could also try this : http://www.ebay.nl/itm/260770628331?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
it should fit the Neo.
Last night, I ordered the Neo on Amazon (anxiously awaiting arrival now
While I was at it, I looked around for a car holder. I ordered this:
amazon.de/gp/product/B005EXHJ66 (Saugfußhalter = the suction thing). As I just ordered it, I don't know if it's really good - I'll post again when I have it.
It seems like it's not too ugly (I hate these 'universal' holders - they are way too bulky), and one can order extra parts to mount the phone on a bike or on the car venting holes too (search the site for Haicom and you'll find these). That also means one can just mount another bracket (for another device).
It's also available on Amazon.co.uk under another name: amazon.co.uk/dp/B005F2U32S (lot of pictures there).
While I was searching, I also came across something that can be attached to the screen or placed on the dashboard - like the topic starter asked - but I don't have the link for that anymore.
Regarding the Clingo: I considered that too - but then I read some reviews which said it left residue or the phone falls off under some temperature circumstances - so I didn't dare to try that one anymore.
I have a media that is installed on the grid certral the air outlet, it took two years and I have taken this stand Nokias, LG, Samsung .... all perfectly anchored and comfortable
I bought it at The Phone House and has never given me problems

Ok, so i got it today and it doesn't press the volume buttons.
Can recommend Griffins universal holders.
Doesn't block any buttons, ok price but if u want to charge in the same time u need to be careful with the cover. But it works
I use a generic iphone car holder from the carphonewarehouse, my neo fits it lovely.
I bought this, and still wait to receive it
it looks nice

in your opinion, car vibrations can cause problems to the phone? can brake?
It´s expensive for me 20€+shipping cost!!!!!

Accessories for MediaPad

This is a placeholder post!
hi folks
just wanted to let you know about my experience with these items i've received yesterday.. since they're mostly made in China, they're very cheap but most of the things that i've ordered in the past from this site, are OK and works..
- Micro USB -> USB OTG cable (Price: $2.10) - http://www.dealextreme.com/p/usb-fe...a-cable-for-samsung-i9100-galaxy-s2-5cm-67186 - works without a problem.. USB flash drive, mouse and keyboard connects and works flawlessly!! it's really cool to see a mouse cursor on the tab screen and control your device with it
also tried external USB drive (2,5") but it works only with a powered USB hub (i've ordered this one - USB 2.0, 7 ports, and it works OK - http://www.dealextreme.com/p/high-speed-7-port-usb-2-0-hub-100-240v-ac-adapter-21799)
- Micro HDMI -> HDMI (Price: $6.60) - http://www.dealextreme.com/p/1440p-v1-4-micro-hdmi-male-to-hdmi-female-connector-adapter-48136 - it just works
- Leather case for Samsung P1000 (Price: $6.90) - http://www.dealextreme.com/p/protective-flip-open-pu-leather-case-for-samsung-p1000-black-50608 - it's for Samsung P1000 tab, but it's almost perfect fit for our MediaPad.. left side (speakers and headphone jack) is OK.. right side (HDMI, USB, power) is OK too.. up side (power button, volume buttons) - OK.. the only "problem" is the opening for the front and backside camera.. they're not positioned like the Samsung p1000, so they're covered by the case.. but overall, for the price it's a great case if you don't care about the cameras! i think the backside camera opening can even be created manually if you want
similar cases cost MUCH more in my country, so for me this is a great option..
- Screen Protector for Samsung P1000 (1,52$) - http://www.dealextreme.com/p/screen-protector-guards-cleaning-cloth-for-samsung-p1000-49782 - again, this is for P1000, but the dimensions seems to be pretty close to MediaPad and it's so cheap, i just ordered it for the sake of trying..
horizontally it's about 2mm short on both sides..
vertically it's about 4mm short on both sides..
if you have the MediaPad inside some sort of a case (like the one i mentioned above) it's OK, because the black border is covered by leather parts of the case so it looks very good..
hope it helps..
I went ahead and bought the only case/protector that Tmo had listed for the springboard, and found it is actually really good. The case around the tablet is formed hard plastic and is good protection, with the cover that doubles as a folding stand.
Worth it at this point.
I'll add one to this list: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007KQHXOS/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00
It's an anti glare screen protector. Unfortunately you pay dearly for it but it's available.
I am quite happy with my Sandisk microSDXC 64GB class 10.
2 steps to format it to FAT32 in order to get it compatible to ”dload”: exFAT 》ntfs (Win7) 》FAT32 (mediapad)
