Problem after unlocking with imei-check

Hello everyone,
I have this very annoying problem with my x01HT after using the imei-check unlocker.
I have a Softbank post Dec.2 device and as soon as imei-check released the unlocker(M3100v4bUnlock.exe) I bought it and unlocked my set. According to the software the unlocking was successful and after that I had the chance to try it with a DoCoMo SIM card and it was working very nice. The real problem came when I tried to use SIM cards from GSM networks. I have tried both a Bulgarian (Globul) SIMcard and one in Thailand (True). Both GSM SIM cards when I start the phone say SIM lock, emergency numbers only, and I cannot use my phone with them. I can still use the roaming with the Softbank card, but that of course is not what I want.
Has anyone encountered something like that?
I would appreciate your help.
Thanks.

Softbank X01HT - IMEI problem

i have buy a new Softbank X01HT recently. When i press *#06# , X01HT output the IMEI it is not equal to the phone body's sticker. What is the shop comment? They say that it is because of the upgrade to Hard-SPL 2.10 and unlock the phone. The 2.10 version will change the phone's original IEMI. Is it true ? Anybody can tell me the truth ?
The IMEI is NOT changed by flashing HardSPL or a new Radio or even WM6.
What other things have you flashed onto the device?
EDIT:: Also where did you buy the device from??
I had already flashed the radio rom to 1.41.00.10 ..
When i get my X01HT buy from shop, the IMEI no. and the sticker's IMEI no. is not equal ..
Well the shop has sold you a dodgy device, most likely returned by somebody else.
If there is a way to prove it to them that HardSPL doesnt change the IMEI then I would use that.
Is the IMEI totally different?
yup, when i press *#06# my Hermes is return
353151010095713xx"
And the Hermes's body stricker is
353151010438087

then the motherboard has been replaced into a separate case.
In fact, it's not replaced. Because my friend has 2 machines with the same imei as listed above. I guess they clone the rom, or IMEI change it.
Imei Problem
We think you are X01HT already
change motherboard with another case,
because very difficult to change imei except if have software about it.

It is legally impossible for two phone in the same world to have the same IMEI...
Go to Settings/System/Device Information/Identity - do you see the same number?

IMEI is aggregated in both cases from the radio; if this is true, HTC screwed up on a batch of phones when programming them.
Don't believe its HTC
I don't think this is HTC fault it should be a changed board or IMEI. Although it is illegal to change it everybody knows it is not impossible (I don't know if its possible to change the imei of hermes but for wizard it was.)
is not HTC; there's a company in asia selling unlocked X01HT with same IMEI because they unlock them by flashing the qualcomm directly (take chip out, use programmer to flash it, and put chip again).
you guys know wow?this is stange for me also.i think the radio upgrades changes the imei number.not exactly the whole number, but it adds two digits at the end of the number my hermes has 17 digit imei on the back and it gives 19 digit imei when i check it with the code(*#06#).i cant exactly say how many times i upgraded the radio rom but I THINK the two digit that adds up, represnt the count that you have upgraded the radio.
any suggestions?
disruptorx is right....when looking at *#06#, its the same but it has an extra 04 at the end. i dunno what the 04 is and why its there.
i know for a fact that my cingular 8525 hasnt been tampered with. the void sticker is still there.
The IMEI number is the first 16 digits of the code displayed when you type *#06#
The number does indeed change when you upgrade the radio, the 15th and 16th digits are supposedly to represent the software version on the device (according to wikipedia). But the rest is possibly something that the radio does, unknown to me

pof is right ! I'm Chinese hermes user. You know there is no hermes sell in China except HK and Taiwan. My hermes is X01HT, unlocked first time boot without extrom install. There're lots of people using X01ht but installed extrom when it first bootup and htcboot has beed updated to htc182, Thencan not sim-lock after. so they send to some company which can take some chip out and flash it to htcboot 107, they call it Hard-Unlock.but I don't know which chip they take out and flash, DOC flashchip or qualcomm ?
IMEISV
I recently found out that this 17 digit IMEI is called IMEISV SV stands for Software Virsion!
I have the same experience to buy X01HT in HK. They gave me a new phone and I checked the IMEI doesn't match with the phone's label. They said it is normal because of the recent cracking. They brought me another X01HT and the IMEI is same as the first one. They said the whole batch of phone they are selling recently has the same IMEI#.
I bought the phone anyway and can update HardSPL v7 and radio rom to 1.43 w/o any problem.
My X01HT was freez and no response.I repaired back to my hand, changed IMEI report.
My X01HT
My recent bought X01HT didn't have the same IEMI no. as well.

Can't unlock my G4

I have a Cingular Wizard G4 that won't SIM unlock. The motherboard IMEI no. (*#06#) doesn't match the IMEI no. on the housing back. I used Lokiwiz03 to determine the unlock code. I installed a T-Mobile SIM card and nothiing. I then installed a AT&T card, nothing. I installed a very old AT&T card and it connected to the network and I could make a phone call. I then installed a newer AT&T card and nothing. I lastly installed a Cingular card and nothing. WST says that the phone is SIM locked. Why doesn't the unlock window pop-up when I put a different SIM card in and turn it on? How can I force the unlock window to pop-up?
Are you sure it's locked?
About the IMEI mismatch... you can change it using Wizard Service Tool. Try putting the original IMEI and upgrade/downgrade the radio.

WST says it is CID locked. When I put in a T-Mobile SIM, it does not try to connect to the network. It does nothing.
The reason for the IMEI mismatch is I put the MB in a new housing.

You are absolutely correct in questioning me about the lock situation. Although WST says it is CID locked, I wondered, so I installed a Telnor SIM and it immediately connected to the network. That is why the unlock window would not pop up. WST is not always right. Thanks for forcing me to think.

[Q] How to sim-unlock orange uk mozart?

Hello,
It is my first post, I just bought my htc 7 mozart.
I want to unlock it, so i could use my polish carrier sim card (carrier name Play).
I have sim-unlock code that i got after giving my imei number.
My question is when do i write this sim-unlock code?
Many quides on net say that i should insert my sim card (not orange uk but polish play) and after switching on the phone will be displayed area for entering this code.
When i turn device on i get information that there is no sim or it is invalid and i have 2 options :
1 click 'emergency call' (in this area) i cant type my unlock code.
2 click 'close' and device continues booting and after few sec i get main wp7 screen.
So i'm not asked for my unlock code.
Where in this phone is place to type sim unlock code?
I've seen some people here unlocked their htc mozarts with code, could someone write please how it can be done?
I say once again it's locked on orange uk.
Sorry for my bad english.
Thanks in advance guys.
Will debranding/flashing help?
There must be an option to unlock it via code...
When i use my polish card or no card at all in mainscreen of wp7 i see a cell 'no sim' i click it and again emergency calls only.
Where to type this sim-unlock code?
When I unlocked my Orange UK phone, it asked for a pin when I inserted my O2 sim card. This was when I entered the unlock code and after that it's been fine.
I don't see why an overseas SIM would be different, but one way round this would be to buy a UK PAYG sim from eBay or similar, then use that to unlock, then use your sim after that?
IT'S DONE
I was inserting sim card wrong way, when i had put it properly i was asked for unlock code.
I have my mango beta on it, i have to test many applications now
if someone have any questions about how to update to mango pls write ill try help.
Hello,
I'm new in WP7, I just got an HTC 7 Mozart, locked to Swiss Orange. So I wonder if is possible to unlock for free, or is there any specific tool for that. Any help would be appreciated.

Failed to SIM Unlock GT-I9300

I had a GT-I9300 before and I used GalaxSim Unlocker to unlock it. It worked before.
This is my 2nd GT-I9300, but it is Made in China, not like the one before which was Made in Korea. With this one, GalaxSim Unlocker failed to unlock the phone.
I tried this program with 4.1.1 and 4.1.2. Both say that the phone is unlocked and the program did not even run its full course. When I go back to the old ALE8 ROM, this time the program did not see any IMEI number.
I also tried to use the phone service menu. I can get into the service menu, but there is nothing inside the "network lock". It says the menu does not exist.
Is the China made phone very different from the Korea made phone? I'm just curious. I've already returned the phone to the original owner.

What ROM did it come with? If it had EFS v2, there is no way to unlock it without buying an "unlock code". Galaxsim doesn't work on ROMs released since July. No apps do.
A Unicom customized phone?
I don't think that one has the network lock.
I've returned the phone, so I would not know about the EFS. The one I unlocked before was a UK O2 phone. But I do not know much about the 2nd one, just that it was made in China, not Korea.
So if GalaxSim Unlocker and phone service manual both do not work, the only way is to buy an unlock code? It appears some people are using some cables to unlock some phones.
Well, if it is sold to China, there is no network lock. So GalaxSim Unlocker is unnecessary. Do you know which country it is sold to?
Just backup the phone's EFS.

Do you have any evidence of the above re cable unlock ???
That phone was clearly locked. From the very beginning, I put in a T-Mobile SIM and the phone asked me for unlock code. After one or two day tries, I gave up. To the end, after the stock ROM restore, it still asked me for unlock code.
I do not know the history of that phone. So I do not know what country that phone was originally distributed to.
