Hello ppl,
I've tried to upgrade my Atom (20060426B1WWE) to the Atom Exec ROM found in your FTP (Xda-Atom-Exec-ENG-20060721-mod_n-fix.exe), but the upgrade doesn't begin because a country id error happen.
In the Atom-wiki I did not find information to avoid this error.
Someone can help me?

Bro all the information you need to flash the Exec rom to the Atom has been discussed in nearly every thread of this section. Bootloader is what you are looking for to perform this procedure, however it is not recommended and personally think more trouble than it is worth.

i read lots of information here on rom upgrade to XDA II, i currently have ver 1.60.00WWE english and i see that a new version exits but, the new version is for Tmobile or O2 operators.
i try to install the O2 version but give an error concerning "country ID"
anyone can help me to find a generic english rom upgrade that i can install on my xda2?

Yo should make a bit of research through the forum, there is plenty of instructions on how to do this and the best way to go.
I personnally recommend the Qtek Dangaard ROM. It's quite stable and free of "carrier customized" things. Just clean and fast. It's worth the try.

in fact i see lots of references here to the dagaard Rom and i even try the ftp site to make the downloasd. unfortunately i can't enter the site and i don't see any other place where i can find this famous rom.

socheat, you mean official ROM for Atom or Atom Exec? I can't find it under any of those devices.

try to register to www.seeo2.com, you will get the official ROM update for your atom exec. it is free.
Only if you register an Exec. I'm registered with my regular Atom, and I can't see the Exec ROM updates.

Sure, if you have only atom to register they will provide you only atom ROM too. so you have to use the modified ROM.

And it seem that this rom updated the radio module. and it seem good per the feedback form updated people. so i decided flash my atom exec ron. First, i let my atom exec in the boot loader module. And run the DSUU. but fail at 6% of the stage3 update extended rom. the atome exec sreen show u format fail mpleted. i try many times but all fail. so anybody can help me? any suggestion? whether there are some wrong with the atom exec hardware? I don't buy the atom exec from HK. So the warranty is very trouble. Please help me. thanks!!!!!

I mistakenly install the atom exec rom to atom, now it got the message in the DSUU saying ERROR: CONNECTION ERROR, and I am unable to remove or re-rom any other versions.
Any one can help, pls.?

Hi folks,
All I want is a stable O2 XDA Atom Life that doesn't keep crashing. Bought it on ebay and it has: WWE_RC2150507B1 installed, which is one of the first Mobile 6 editions.
I've tried installing several ROM's via the DSUU, but all say Customer or Model ID error. But pasting a different pass.32 file in Windows/Temp has no effect. It makes no sense to me why it isn't accepting the newer WWE_RC2170507B2
Looking at the pass.32 file in a hex editor, it says WWE AL1 Xda Atom O2 Xda Atom Life. If this is what it extracts from the Atom, then it seems like I should have no problem.
Are there any tricks that I can try? Or do I have to get my PhD in hacking, just so I can install an official ROM.
Thanks for any nuggets of advice you can give.

P.S. I doubt I will ever use the radio, so that part makes no difference to me.
Solved by bootloading from MiniSD
