The official cradle for TyTn from HTC ! - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam Accessories

Sorry it's in French, but there are two pictures of the official cradle :

Am I right that it's only a charger and does not have an audio out?

You are correct. This is almost identical to the cradle that came with my PPC-6700, and it has no audio out. It's available for pre-order from Expansys and they told me they should receive it on Monday...

This is here on the HTC website
http://www.expansys.com/htc/p_htc_item.aspx?i=140292
but if you want almost the same thing a lot cheaper then try this ebayer. It doesnt have a 2nd battery charger but this is £8.98 rather than the HTC one for £29.00
this is their ebay shop http://stores.ebay.co.uk/SuperGPS-Sat-Nav-and-PDAs
and this is their main web site http://www.superetrader.co.uk/
Just note that it is cheaper to buy from their ebay shop rather than their main site. Its very good and next day delivery

I've been using the HTC cradle since last Thursday and it's very good quality. A bit expensive but worth it to me.

Agreed, it's also a bit fiddly to "drop" the device into the cradle, sometimes needs more than one go.

I pre-ordered it last month from www.mobileplanet.com (the USA store for Expansys). I got it last week just before my 8525 got here.

Got mine from Mobilefun.co.uk, good company and service.

I would absolutely NOT recommend the HTC original cradle (with secondary battery charger); it's almost impossible to fit the device into the cradle. After several tries one might succeed, but I'm always afraid of destroying the connector in the device. Extremely poor engineering!!!

Has anyone bought this? http://tinyw.in/uGuJ This is about the cheapest I have seen them. Ships from China, so it will take 2-3 weeks to get it, but the price is right at $12.10 shipped. If anyone bought this please let me know if it works. Thanks!

I've never had an issue yet with buying stuff from China or shipping from China on eBay. Returning something may be a different story.

I'll let you know sometime between Nov15-Nov22. That was prolly one of the quickest impulse buys I've had in a while.
One of my buddys works at radio shack and every time I go in there to him I look at that $40 one and think I really want that but it's way too expensive. So I really hope this works.

$14 for one, and cheaper if you get multiples... also stupidly cheap prices on microUSB and HDMI cables... I have their MHL adapter and it works great!

Very lightly if at all, as the mhl requires power to work, so does your phone, it might even charge slower than a car charger or usb charge, if at all... Especially if your playing a movie or a lot of videos.

I got it in the mail today. So it took 10 days to arrive. It was in bulk packaging, There is no brand name on it at all. It came with a micro usb cable, no hdmi cable was included.
Now the important part, how does it work. Perfectly is the answer! I just plugged it in and it worked. It was well worth the money.

Big box retailers would have you believe they are quite expensive. The opposite is in fact true, they have a HUGE markup on any cable. This has been a truism for quite a long time. Your best bet is to go with Amazon or Monoprice for all your cable needs, emphasis on Monoprice. They almost always have the best price and have always been good quality for me, and likely others on this forum.

They all look the same but they're not all built the same. When I had a G2X about a dozen people had their devices fried using micro-HDMI cables all purchased from the same discount vendor on Amazon. High-end like Monster's a total waste and overkill but the cheap Chinese specials can end up costing you a fortune if they short out. If something's to good to be true, it usually is.

Couldn't help but see this statement and laugh. Monster and High-end should never ever be in the same sentence together. Their products are absolute garbage, but unfortunately somehow they have managed to achieve this pseudo-status of quality product in the US.
I have a cousin who has worked in pro audio for years and the name Monster is one that leaves a bad taste in the mouth from their awful lies to consumers.
I am not sure this is a big deal anymore. At least in SoCal, seems they are available here and there. Bought one a few weeks back off the shelf at Microcenter but returned it due to wifi and lockup issues.
At this point seems like the wise move is to wait for the next one coming out in 2nd quarter 2012 or look at an ipad3, or next Galaxy.
For the price of the Prime it shouldn't have the issues it has - big disappointment.
Interesting. My old car had AUX and buying any other brand of cable resulted in an awful sound within weeks if not months if the cable didn't completely degrade early on. Spent $5 more for Monster cable and that thing lasted me for 3 years before getting my new car with BT and the sound was great.
The only Monster product I ever bought and it completely murdered every other brand at Best Buy that manufactured aux cables.

I got a monster component video cable on Amazon for $15 to use for my Youtube recording, and aside from that thing being a thick heavy snake, it performed basically the same as a cheaper cable. That thing is so heavy that you could kill someone with it if you swung it hard enough. I suppose reliability is bulky
Cables matter if their analogue but not so much if there digital like hdmi

Hyopercel results
Hypercel said that if I wanted to buy the new docks, that I would have to buy 30-60 of them. What ever their shipping pacakge size was for the device. I guess, that could be as much as $3500. Sucffice to say, I dont want 2 docks that bad. I guess I will have to wait for some reseller to make them available. It seems like Hypercel is not going to get the EVO LTE version. They are pretty nice looking though, and with MHL built in too.
As you pointed out, Hypercel only has the thunderbolt. However, on Kidigi's website you will see that they make the EVO 4G LTE docks as of 6/20. It's not a false alarm, just a sit and wait until someone decides to sell them to us. I hope that is soon.
Thanks for the landscape link.

Honestly if you look at the pictures, they must be rendered. The one with a case has no mic hole on the bottom of the phone and the one without a case has one.

choices
Need to decide from this one or this other one I found here
http://www.seidioonline.com/htc-one-series-desktop-charging-cradle-p/bd2-crdhtx1.htm
Would love to see some reviews and pics of these docks. I am looking to get one eventually but would like to hear what you guys think of them.
I bought the Seidio dock and use it at work. Its functional but not like their EVO3D or OG EVO docks that were more form fitting. The good is that the usb connection actually tilts forward/backward in that dock so that the phone leans back against the cradle. The bad is, if you look closely, the right side of the cradle where the phone rests is angled slightly upward to compensate for the USB connection - but it makes the phone not sit truly level, just slightly off. It also doesn't do HDMI out.
Is it better than the kickstand? Sure you don't have to reach for cables every time. But not by much.
Still waiting for the hdmi Kidigi dock. I will post picks as soon as I get it.

Which Qi wireless charger is everyone using?

Just wanted to see what everyone was using. I purchased the TYLT Vu. It's a little expensive bit I wanted one that could charge while being on landscape.
I've got three of those in one of the newer cheaper versions of that call the a6 then another company makes. You'll find it on Amazon. Both of them work perfectly with the g3 in landscape and portrait.

Typically, they're all the same. With the one you posted, its all plastic shell which gives more real estate for the phone to rest on. Inside is just a coil and PCB board. I think there is a YouTube video of someone opening one of these up.
I opted for a smaller profile (I purchased similar for $1 more). I'll be ordering from this one soon - http://www.ebay.com/itm/Qi-Wireless...l_Phone_PDA_Chargers&var=&hash=item2ed4c6f705. And it ships from the US. No long wait time.

Found one here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/UL-Qi-Stand...S_Cell_Phone_PDA_Chargers&hash=item19f0d9b650 ... but I like how the other one seems thinner and I think I would have less of a chance knocking it off than if it was balancing on that puck... Good point. I just received my "hockey puck". Just in time for me to test out the Qi stickers.
Could of gotten in on my group buy for the stickers. I ordered 100 and should have it next week. Sold out of all of them in a day and they should be mailed out to everyone late next week.
Seems there is still demand for them so I'm about to place another order for 100. BTW, I've been in constant contact with the manufacturer..they've been sold out so it will take some time. But since I'm ordering so much, they'll be able to accommodate my order quicker.

Yea, it doesn't say when you order. One thing I don't like is that it takes 1 day to process payment verification, 5 days to process order and another 15-26 days to ship. Luckily with this group buy, no one has to wait that long.
But if you do get that Qi charger, definitely let us know. Great price but to me, its just too big.

I've been using the Vu for a year with my Nexus 7, and on the Nexus 6 since it came in the mail. I haven't had a single charging or overheating issue. Since the Vu is a dock instead of a puck, there's no extra step of lining up the phone if you place it in portrait mode.
Got a flat AUX cable. Was going to also get a flat USB cable but do they support fast charging? I'm guessing not since they offer data connections too.
