what kind of instructions are these? are you asking or telling?

Telling - this is one of the rumored ways to minimise the cracking whilst making the ringtones loud enough for you to hear out of your pants pocket. I use another setting that still causes the speaker to crack (but less so than setting everything on full blast), will try this when I get back home.
(On the subject of cracking speakers, tho - I found that the Atom's LEFT speaker is usually the culprit. The RIGHT speaker never has a problem. As a test you can cover the left speaker with your finger when playing any offending MP3.
The cracking's usually worse with the Atom plugged into USB - well, if you put something THAT close to the charger, it's bound to happen methinks.
I don't think there's anything wrong with the sound card, since I get excellent results via headphones.)

does this work also in ringtones when someone call`s not in preview i have atom exec and when equalizer is enebled it doesnt work only when reciewing call.

just use ringomobile and midi tones, especially the ones from Nokia tone, (strain.mid and message1.mid) that should feed your appetite for noise

[Q] Want to see the battery level of the bluetooth headset, any app ?

Hello,
Any application exists to show battery level of the bluetooth headset that is connected to Android device as dummy iphone does ? If not - where to find more info about this problem so some solution can be made under Linux first, than ported to Android ?
TIA
Rus
I'm also very interrested in such an app/widget
me too. I have a Plantronics 855 that lasts a long time, but it'd be cool to see the info on the phone.

Does it depend on the type of the Bluetooth headset?
Does it have to support showing battery level on the device?
Been looking for an answer to this question for quite some time. Anyone know what the apple app that does this is called?
I have also been looking for this kind of functionality. It's strange, my old sony-ericsson dumphone had this...
Anyway, please if someone knows of an app that can do this, feel free to share!
When my battery gets low on my Motorola Elite Sliver, I get a warning in the notification window. When I click on it the "Accessory Battery Status" screen opens. I think this is what you are wanting right? I would like to know how to get to it anytime, not just when the battery is low. At the top left there is a green phone icon, so I thought I could access it from the settings menu in the phone app, but I can't find it. I also checked the bluetooth settings, but can't find it there either. I am running the latest ICS leak on my Razr Maxx.

[Q] - Disable screen capture sound

I am on the ICS leak (and have been for a little over a month now)... currently on .211. I have searched and searched and cannot find the answer I am looking for... so thought I would post the question.
Is there a way to disable the sound the phone makes when you do a screen capture (PWR + VOL Dwn)? I followed the directions to disable the camera sound (outside of the camera application) but the sound still persist, even while the darn thing is on silent.
Any clues on how to disable the sound?

This is where you would start. Start by moving to SD. Don't delete. Remember what you did. If the sound doesn't exist in the system then it can't produce what isn't there.

Is that the only location where system sounds are located? When I was viewing that last night... nothing stood out as the click (except the camera click sound).
Yeah I guess going through each of em one by one is the only option. Grumble. If none of those work... I am at a loss then!
I just changed mine to the camera sound from a nexus and it changed my sound associated w my screenshot too. Maybe its just tied together. Other than silencing your phone and then taking a pic I don't know exactly how to break it from there
if you are using samsung galaxy s3, you could try silent screenshot instead. simple and cool.

Hello All-
I see there is SOOO much helpful information on here with regards to Android Car HU. As much as I don't mind reading I definitely do not want to brick my Unit. Here are the few items that I'd like to address:
Bluetooth streaming absolutely is terrible. Sounds distorted and not full range (compared to music that I have imported via USB) I did go into the factory settings to turn down the gain unfortunately it didn't have any positive effect In addition I would like to find an EQ that would allow more control over some of the lower frequencies. The stock EQ only goes to 62hz. I would absolutely love to find a DSP solution if there is / was one?
I'm going to try and attach the pictures of my build and model.

Audio card disable itself after extended use of headphones?

Hello,
It's been a few days since this problem arise and I'm honestly dumbfounded now. I have the habit of using headphones for an extended period of time, but since a few days ago, every time I use them the audio card seems to disable itself after a few minutes or so. The only way to reactivate it is to do a full reboot, which is really annoying.
I checked the logcat and here's what it says as soon as the problem happens :

"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I have tried several things :
Changing the kernel
Changing the ROM (Currently running on RR 6.0.0)
Cleaning the jack port
Desinstalling Viper
Also notice in my screenshot that I have indeed unplug the headphone but the phone seems to be unaware of that.
Does somebody else have this problem? How can it be solved, at least restarting the phone
And one more thing : It only happened with the headphones, I tried with Bluetooth speaker and the problem did not happened
Flash miui fastboot rim
Hey,
i'm experiencing the same problem. Whenever i'm using Spotify or watching Youtube for that matter, after some time the audio stops. It makes no difference whether i'm on phone speaker or headphones. Catlog shows the same error message: "audio_hw_primary: out->card_status or adev->card_status offline, try again".
The only way to recover from this error is to reboot. But after some minutes of playing audio the bug strikes again.
I did try to call someone and it still worked, while spotify wasn't able to output audio. @[email protected] what do you mean by: "Flash miui fastboot rim"?

How to use the phone mic for calls even when you are connected to a bluetooth headset

Hi guys,
hope there is some expert that can help me here. :fingers-crossed:
I have 2 bluetooth headsets in which their enbedded mic is not working properly, and I would like to answer calls using the phone mic instead, while leaving on the headset for the speaker part.
In one headset simply the quality is very low, because is far from my mouth, in the other is somehow broken, because when I record a whatsapp audio or send an "ok google" command, the phone catch the audio through the phone mic, but when I answer a call, the audio is blank.
Is there a setting somewhere to instruct the phone to always use the phone mic, even when an headset is working as a speaker?

Thanks, in fact that is what I'm doing now. When I select the phone in the dialer, however, it switches the mic but also the speaker.
I have to remove my earpiece/headphones and bring the phone to the ear.
I'm looking for a way to tell the smartphone to use the bluetooth earpiece like a one-way speaker-only earpiece and ignore the mic part.
Maybe works on audio attributes like CALL_CONTEXT and mSource?
