Hacking Handsfree Headset Bluetooth Profile - HTC Startrek

Does anyone here know how to hack the registry of a 3125 to fool the Handsfree Headset or A2DP profile into allowing music to play over a Mono earpiece?
Also, I have tried installing the Bluetooth Audio hack that was referred to in an earlier post. It did not work on my phone, even when I installed the .NET 2.0 Portable Framework on my phone.
Thanks

What is the real story about bluetooth stereo headphones with BA?

I've seen conflicting messages about using bluetooth stereo headphones with BA. I'd like to listen to stereo music from my BA (basically use as a MP3 player) using bluetooth headphones but I've seen conflicting messages. I almost purchased a bluetooth stereo headset but the sales agent indicated that they required A2DP which is only supported by WM 5. I'm using Pocket PC 2003 SE and can not upgrade to WM 5 as I need BBconnect support which supposedly isn't supported on WM 5. I don't need the bluetooth stereo headphones to fully integrate with the phone, in other words, if I can listen to music but it doesn't cut off when a phone call comes in that is alright.
Can anyone share their experiences on this matter?
As far as i know A2DP is only avaialble on WM5.
Edit
BBconnect is also avaialble on WM5, you just have to find the right install thats compatible with your Provider, IIRC.
No no, A2DP can in fact be installed on Pocket PC 2003 SE! It's just not officially supported. Take a look at this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=258457. It contains links to the resources you need.
It works, I assure you.
Just download the ".cab" upgrade
(see http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=BA_Bluetooth_1.0.0.3900_Upgrade)
I use bluetooth stereo "clip" with my headphones and my father uses motorola HT820 stereo headphones, normally, to listen to mp3.
Thanks for the lead, I installed the suggested cab and I now have the high quality audio setup in my bluetooth manager. I need to go out and purchase a bluetooth headphones this weekend to try it out. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
OK I went out and purchased a pair of ITech bluetooth headphones but I can't get the BA to recognize recognize them. When I go into Bluetooth manager and try to add a new device I get the "High Quality Audio Setup" choice but then the BA times out after searching for about 30 seconds. The headphones are fully charged and turned on. I have the BT 1.0.0 Build 3900 Bluetooth update.
Any ideas?
Oops, never mind, I was able to get the headphones to pair. I didn't read the pairing instructions sufficiently. The answer was holding down the power button on the headphones until the PPC recognized it.
Nice to hear it worked out. Enjoy!

My 9090 already has BT v1.0.0 Build 3900. Is this cab file an upgrade for v1.0.0.3900 or an upgrade to v1.0.0.3900? Like I said, I already have 1.0.0.3900 but the BT Connection Wizard isn't showing a "High Quality Audio Setup".
Take a look in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=264537
In the second post, there are 2 links. The first one adds the High Quality Audio Profile. I think that's all you need, since you already have the 3900 build. Check my answer to that post as well.

X7500 WM6 and A2DP problem

Hi!
Yesterday I went through the upgrade of the official Dutch HTC Europe WM6 release. No problems there and WM6 works a charm.
The problem came to the light when I paired my Motorola HT820 A2DP headset. The music in the Windows Media Player plays well through A2DP, but only for a few seconds. After that it starts pausing every second. The same goes for all types of audio I play (video, TCPMP, etc).
Who can help? There was no problem using WM5 and a previous WM6 ROM (unofficial and WWE).
Thanks!!
Sounds like your sampling rates are off. Check this thread for info:

Search on Priority256_fix. That seems to be the final piece of the puzzle to fix the blue tooth problem.

Or search on Bluetooth Priority Fix.
Thanks for the tips.
Ofcourse there will be always another problem: my Motorola A2DP headset now fails to autoconnect (after being paired) to the X7500. Normally when I turn on the headset you will see a headphone/musictone icon in the top bar and hear the "connect sound" through the headset. This doesn't happen now. I need to soft reset first, and after that it will work again, for a few times.
Deleting the headset and pairing again works, but the autoconnecting stops working when I try again later.
Damn, what is it with the official WM6 and A2DP?

Hi, I still experience lags and pauses while using A2DP. With the registry tweak Priority256 it even gets a lot worse!!
Any more suggestions? I tried several headsets and even the Parrot Sound speaker set, but all of them are the same. So it's not the headset.
EDIT: I figured that it has something to do with the normal Bluetooth headset I use. I want to use the A2DP stereo headset simultaneously with the normal headset for phone calls. The A2DP headset only uses "Stereo audio" when connected, while the normal headset uses "Headset". This was no problem at all with all other devices I had and no problem as well on the X7500 running WM5. With WM6 things are different I guess.
A2DP WITHOUT the normal headset connected is no problem, like it should work. WITH the voice headset connected simultaneously, the lags come up, the prioriry fix makes no difference in this matter. And I'm stubborn, I want to have the voice headset to be connected at all times, the A2DP headset when I want to listen to music.
Any thoughts?

3125 with wm6 std bluetooth audio query

Is there a program that I can use to allow my bluetooth headset to be utilized with audio programs? I can use it for phone calls only and would like to use it to listen to audio books with Audible.com or to movies on WMP. Anyone know of a fix for this?
Thanks

I have the GPE edition of the Z Ultra (running the stock ROM), and I am able to listen to music and GPS using A2DP through a generic bluetooth car receiver with no problems. No extra software needed.
