I am still waiting in hope someone will release it, then I can sell my Himalaya.
yesterday i just installed win2005 into my xda2, it works. But still find some minor glitches, eg. camera and record button doesn't works. no auto-configuration with mobile operator services. And haven't been able to connect to GPRS & MMS yet.
You need to set-up GPRS yourself, and there is no MMS on it yet.
There are many threads about Wm2005 on the XDA2 you can read.

Our genius jiggs are busy working out XDA Atom ROM WM6. Maybe you can put your request and ideas here so we will have a nice WM6 in the near future ;-)

I got rid of the O2 branding completely when I was on my old Mini. Can't do that for the Atom, tho, or I don't have any idea how to.
A english wm6 rom. Probabaly with touchflo support.
xcpuscalar, O2 software like O2 connect (which remove in AKU3.3) o2 plus etc, and a battery saver

very very very clean rom I hate to force using bloody o2 programs or other third party. It would be a great idea if you have your clean rom and choose the programs that you prefer.
o2 didn't got the idea and i hate to have a 27 mb ram and 37 meg rom at first place. every kb saved will be appritiated (especially for ram)
I agree a clean stable rom would be best. So we can add our own choice of software And have free ram.
Resco explorer would be good instead of the normal one though because the first thing everyone does or atleast should so is get rid of the lame windows file explorer.
Btw any idea around when the rom will be done? Estimated ofcourse

I think we should thanks JIGGS for working on this. I know how busy he is because of our request...
JIGGS dont forget a donation site ha ;-) at least a little reward for your effort.
I think the primary objective here is to get a clean Rom.. Without O2 branding. and ****. after which every one can install what ever they want . im just waiting to test the voip service out.. the third party software is too laggy ..

Btw, along with resco explorer you should put the wizard htc retouched dialer with the smart dial option, it looks so sexy!!
Anything that doesn't need to be installed on the main memory should not be included to make space. You could however provide it seperately so we can install it on the memory card

Did you see the topic ?I know some of the guy there english level is so bad like me but please be respect our nation.I know nowaday most of people they can easy to understand english but not represent of all. Do you know how Valuables of the Rom space ?

I don't know if its possible or not but Have you checked with Pocket PC Techs.Thats what they do so if it can be done they should be able to tell you. If it can be done I think they'll even sell you a kit to do it with.

thats the only thing missing from the hermes is twice the ram, i miss that in my special edition magician.
Not enough if you could upgerade the ram... Because than you need a special rom too, to use without problems...
Hi there everyone ! I like to know if it is possible to use my htc startrek paired via bluetooth to my u1000 std wm6 stock rom and use the startrek ( without sim card ) as an answering and calling device for my u1000 ( with sim card ) ?
If it is possible then it is cool as i can see who is calling from my startrek while my pda phone u1000 sits inside my pouch case . All xda experts out there - please advise me if this can be done , thanks a lot and best regards from me to u , cheers - jimmunsw
I doubt it. While that flip phone (like most other phones today) supports the correct bluetooth profiles, I believe the phones all expect to be the host. I've never tried pairing a phone to another phone but I would bet it can't be done.
Hi there , thanks for your kind reply , it is a very logical answer indeed regarding the bluetooth host that my htc startrek will insist it to be , but maybe there is a way to write a program or change some existing program to make the htc startrek into a bluetooth client instead , can any xda expert on both htc startrek and athena can do something to make it work ? and if there are any difference in rom then they share the same rom so you can use whatever rom you like
