I am looking into the lock features on the G4 Wizard, and I could really do with a dump of a bootloader to analyse it through IDA.
I do own a Wizard, but sadly I am not one to risk it hehe

After hours of searching, I cannot find a straight-up answer. The phone I am unlocking is not mine, it is my brother's 8125 which i just found out is G4. He would really like it updated to crossbow, because he saw my mda and liked it. if anyone could lend a hand with helping me unlock this, i would really appreciate it. and yes, i have seen imei check, but at the moment i'm not willing to pay for that if i dont have to. thanks in advance.\

You're kidding... right? There's a topic in G4 with "how to flash any rom into cid-locked devices". So no need to CID-unlock. If you still want it CID-unlocked. Imei-check is the only option.
thanks.. but i tried that. i did search. im not stupid.. i looked around.. tried various things.. im just asking to see if maybe someone came up with an idea but didnt post it.. im just trying to find a way to do this so that my device is bricked.

How did u manage to get Orwell WM6 on your cid locked G4 device.
I tried most of the roms but could only get Wizard Love to work so far.
I also tried the Shell tool but no luck so far.
Any input would be appreciated.

Hello. I have a problem with spv m1000. When I try to start it, it come to a position and want Cognito code which I don't know. Is there any way to remove that code, because i can't update ROM of spv m1000...Any idea

what the hell is cognito code? Have you tried starting the device without a simcard in it?

I don't know much about it personally but hopefully this will give you a better idea where to look.
You should try Googling and using the search function on this forum, and then provide us with more information ie Where did you get this phone from etc
Assuming you got it from a work place and you have permission to own it (ie legally) then perhaps you can ask the business for the code?
jadel nice link i was intrigued as to what a cognito code was, so i went and read it. Basically all he has to do is hard reset the device and then align the screen and then soft reset before the extended rom is installed then he should be able to reflash a new rom to it.

Hello everyone, first of all I would like to say that im not good with phones and all, and all I pretty much know is how to root which I did.
I got an OTA update today and it said I needed to reboot my phone, which is an LG Optimus G E975.
When I did all I got was an error saying ''Secure booting Error!'' and under that ''Cause : boot certification verify''
What do I do now? I can't get in my phone at all and I have no knowledge on how to fix my phone and I really need it!
If you guys could help me with this problem that would be amazing!

Hi, if you're reading this, I'm going to be a little bit of your time. Currently we (Android enthuasiasts, and custom rom lovers), can not (eventually) get back our phones from a hard brick, because we need some files and our beloved Motorola do not release those files for us ). An other solution for our trouble is: Some beautiful and very kind people uploaded us a named "Loader.img". This file is generated from a simple terminal command inserted in some devices, and contains files needed to get our phones back from the dead. If you are one these beautiful and kind people ... please take a time and help us! you can not imagine how many devices you can save uploading this simple file here for us! in my case i have a XT1506 (Otus) and it is dead at the moment because i have no money to take it to assistance and i have not the Loader.img to try get it back.

i know how frustrating is have a hardbricked device that you know the hardware is working perfect, but the software is completely broken :silly:
Is it possible to make our own from stock rom???

Earlier I owe an Xiaomi device on that I was able to flash from QLoader (EDL) mode directly without loader.img
what actually is the loader.img coz I never needed it in HTC and xiaomi devices

Hello everyone, i have an LG g3 As985 it is an cualcomm(I think this is how you spell it) that wont boot up with my battery, i tested with a friend´s battery and did booted up, but i´ve replaced the battery 4 times this year, a friend told me to flash an LG G4 rom to it and i´ll stop from happenning, but im not quite certain of this answer, if it does fix the bug, is there anyway to do it? or there´s another way to fix it, best regards to everyone and PLEASE HELP!
