The registry hack only unhides but doesn't unlock, use the HERMES_MountExtROM.CAB file for unhiding & unlocking, so you'll be able to write to ExtRom too.

This one works to unlock (modify) just used it today good program!

how do these files unlock device for any network
hi,
marka2k you say you used it to unlock, how did you do that, i have the tytn the tmobile uk version, and need to unlock it to any network, how can i do that with these files, if you can enlighten me and many others, please do so,

This is for Extended ROM Unlocking, not for remove the SIMLock or network lock.

Extended ROM Unlock don't work with new O2 Germay ROM
Unlocked tytn, SPV M3100
2 days back I unlocked my SPV M3100 (tytn) using online service. It was easy & worked smoothly.
I have all the necessary files & unlocker tool, but they are imei specific.
may be some developer like buzz & team that unlocked universal find it useful.

@Dare2Dream: This thread is about Extended ROM unlocking, has nothing to do with SIM unlocking.
Am I correct in thinking that you can't write to the ExtRom if you've upgraded to the Cingular 1.34 ROM version, even when using this tool?
@markw996: yes, see the wiki extrom page.
To mount and unlock ExtROM you can use also ficat Hermes Tweaker........ it works very well, it applies also many other tweaks like Phone Delay Disable, Phone Skins Disable, HSDPA capabilities, etc.....
After hard SPL unock by using AthenaUnlocker.zip, the MAC address of the WiFi adapter (TIACXWLN1) got corrupted -- 11-22-33-55-66-88. Therefore I can not use WiFi to connect to Inernet for my device HTC Advantage 7500 or 7501.
Does any body know whether there is a way to change the MAC address?

Don't react too quickly.
he applied the 750x unlocker to a 7510 .
I dont know if anyone has successfully unlocked a 7510 but I have seen plenty of complaints about lack of roms etc
and here is a link seemingly supporting this

i think this still might work. it is not an SPL or ROM. he needs to change his MAC address. i am optimistic. what harm can be done? this thing saved my absent-minded arse after appling the wrong ver of hard spl and on top of that, flashing with the wrong ROM (3.5 one instead of 1.2).
anyway, asking cmonex should be a good idea

Your last advice is the best.
Ask cmonex!
X7510 has different ROM structure/locations than x750x
When you say what harm can be done, the answer is in the link I posted and that is that you could brick your phone as others have done.
Using the wrong mtty commands in cmonexs script may just abort the script , but obviously the original unlocker has broken something which should be fixed specifically as she was doing individually for the specific problem in AP4.
Then again , I may be wrong , but I wouldn't just give it a go and hope for the best if it was my phone

I have tried it by following the instructions in the thread of 'AP4 WIFI doesnt start', it is working! I am able to change the MAC address.
I will update the wiki page to reference this solution for fixing WiFi issue in Athena.

Sorry, I think I made a mistake. The device that I have is actually X7500 or X7501 -- there is no '16GB' label on the device. After upgrading, the default host name is HTC_X7510 -- that is why I got it wrong.

glad i was able to help. thanks also goes to lakeman for his warnings and trying to keep the things in a wider perspective (nothing can be worce than beeing responsable for bricking somebody's pda), and the sum of all should go to cmonex!

Hi,
I've bought this ppc on ebay (not working)
It's an Ameo brand T-Mobile.
If I try to power on, the ppc stays always on the first screen (The screen with information about rom, radio... And the top of the screen it has black and white stripes)
If I try to power on in boot mode, phone correctaly does in boot mode and this is IPL and SPL
IPL-v2.02
SPL-v1.20.Olipro
What I do to rise again this ppc? I must perform a flash with original rom, unlock with Olipro 1.30 and flash it with all rom I want?
When can I find original rom for this ppc?

I think it's akready unlocked, but when I try to flash with any rom, update utility says "[Error 244] Invalid model id"...
It isn't unlock or... this ppc isn't a Athena... Under battery there is "ATHE100", it's correct?
Please do not flash with ANY rom,
your 1st post stated SPL 1.2.

there is a fix here on the thread for that sort of problem. have you searched for "invalid model id" in the athena section.
if it has spl1.2 it is already unlocked no need to unlock it again.
I know there is a fix/work around for the problem you're having. I've read other posts with it and many have got the resolved.

I'm glad to hear the problem was resolved.
about the Italian rom, I'm not sure about that but I think that's needed is the proper MUI files, send the chefs a PM, maybe they can help you out with that.

I try to send a PM... but chef doesn't respond...
I always search any Italian rom for athena... original or coocked....
I'm just wondering, do I need to get my phone sim lock to be able upgrade my phone to Windows Mobile 6.5 kitchen or update new ROM from this website.

NO. You just need to flash hardspl onto your device before flashing a cooked ROM. Just follow the instructions in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=448008

its OK ma8, but if u post here in the I9100 section, then people might advice u wrongly with one's meant for I9100 and not for I9100G since they all have I9100 models with them.
thats why i directed u to that link in my earlier post, since people over there do use I9100g and they might have fair Idea about ur issue for sure
