Just installed the AKU3.3 test OS and ExtROM.
If you've modified your splash screens as well what picture are you guys (& gals) using.
I've still got my current Vodafone splash but looking to change it.
Also having read the info on the 1.01 MFG bootlader, why does it recommend saving pictures to a 24bit BMP when the screen can only display 16bit (or is it the OS only allows 16bit)?

for the 8525, can i get this on my TyTN that i am running the Vanilla WM6 on? i dont really like the splash screen built in and would like that animated 3G at&t one?
hi, download the cingular wm5 aku3.2 ROM and use nbhextract to extract the .nb files.
two of them will be the boot splash screens. You can flash them to your device as long as you have bootloader 1.01mfg on your hermes. Please see the wiki under Bootloafer 1.02 for more info. It has detailed info on how to flash the boot screen images.
the animated splash is not installed as a splash, its actually in the rom! It requires a gif, some dll's (which im not sure which ones exactly) and some reg keys to make it work.
I am personally trying to get rid of it.
I got the volume turned down, but now just trying to find a way to remove it.

I have the at&t splash screen with out the 3G. enjoy.
I've flashed my T-Mobile Vario II with the latest WM5 AKU 3.3 rom and, whilst I know it sounds wierd, would like to return the look and feel to its original state.
I have executed the original Ext. ROM CABS and copied Tmobile.TSK to the my documents folder but this still leaves the HTC Phone skin in place and the Splash screen is a HTC one.
What I'd like to do is change the splash screen, get a suitable CAB to skin the Phone so it looks "original T-mobile" and then bang the whole lot into the EXT. ROM so that it will all restore automatically after a hard reset.
Is it possible to change the boot screen? Does anyone have the T-Mobile Boot screen if so?
Is there a T-Mobile Phone skin CAB around? Will it impact on AKU 3.3 functionality?
What config.txt command do I need for the .TSK install?
Search the forums for T-Mobile_UK_Customisation_Cabs.
I think that has everything you need.

Unfortunately those are just the CABS from the original EXT ROM - no splash screen, no Phone skin
off course no splash, this is integrated in RUU flasher (package you used). you can do boot screen by yourself, here is procedure and some usefull information - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=296511 but this still doesnt give back you t-mobile screen, to do that you must flash original RUU update from t-mobile (but this version is tooo old, and Tmobile have no plan to release update for vario II), or you can extract splash from full upgrade, how to do it is also in Wiki.
Hi, I have imate Jasjam WM5 & would like to upgrade it to WM6, But before doing that I would like to save the current splash screen (which cotains my Operator logo), so in case I would like to downgrade I can return my splash screen back as it was?

Instructions for creat and flashing custom Splash Screen on Niki :
1. U need Flash Hard-SPL for your device.
2. Select pictures ,size must be 240x320, save it as BMP 24bit.
3.Extract tools in my Attached Files
- Copy comdlg32.ocx,mscomctl.ocx to \WINDOWS\system32 folder.
- Run nb_image_converter.exe and load files images, save .nb with name "PrimarySplash.nb" ( pic1 ) , run again load pic2 and save .nb with name "SecondarySplash.nb"
- Run SplashTool.exe select to PrimarySplash.nb and SecondarySplash.nb it will convert new format.
4. Run 1___MAKE_NBH.bat it will creat for u new RUU_signed.nbh
5. Run CustomRUU.exe and update new Splash Screen for your niki device
Enjoy your new splash screen!

This is Start up Splash.
Files name : animated.gif
If u want change it just use gif pictures u want 240*320 and change name to animated.gif copy to Windows Folder.
And reset device..!

Can you elaborate? if you are referring to the original default HTC start up splash which is basically the words "smart mobility" in black background then I can upload it for you here!

Here you go Original HTC Splash, make sure you have installed HardSPL then just unzip the attached file and run ROMUpdateUtility as for the htc logo the animated gif that's already posted here by sackbauer post #12

has anyone found the procedure for replacing WM 6.1 green splash screen from frauhottelmann's 6.5 S740 rom yet? I've been searching and in attempt to change the WM 6.1 green screen, actually was able to change the very first splash screen (funny, don't even remember what it used to be before the change).. Searching further found this tread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=476377 that seems to point to the s740/s743 extended ROM as the location for that WM 6.1 splash screen, but got stuck at finding HimalayaSplashImage.cab. May be someone smarter then I, can look further into this.

Since there is no WM 6.1 Splash in my ROM, this has to be a second splash that you have to flash seperately. I have no knowledge about these second splashes (there are devices with 3...) since the Vox only has one and it can be flashed easily (like the Rose's first splash).
I am sorry but I cant help you with this (and a cab file won't change a thing).
I also have this green WM6.1 Splahscreen.
1. the message "Smart mobility" with black Background
2. added to the first message the orange SW Version will be shown
3. the green WM 6.1 Splashscreen is shown for about 2sec
4. the splashscreen that can be changed is shown with "HTC - just brillant"
5. WM Home-Screen is shown.
I also will have a look for a change of this screen. I think there must be something flashed. When i remember correctly it was so on my HTC Herald...
