Hi all,
I've tried to flash my phone with RRU (underground edition crossbow.exe), update said everything ok, it started to upload new rom into phone, but at 96% it stopped with error 302. After passing the recovery process it boots just into bootloader. Tried to run again, the same.
Screen shows:
IPL 2.17.0001
SPL 2.17.0001
ActiveSync v. 4.2
Phone was unlocked (was showing Vodafone boot logo, but I've used o2 simcard without problem)
Obviously don't know if phone have CID locked or not.

I tried flash by wizard following http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=298967
Every thing went well but I was not able to HARD RESET. So instead I removed the battery and started it again. It starts up but got struck at screen which says
IPL 2.21.0001
SPL 2.21.0001
GSM 02.19.11
OS 2.18.00
Could some help me what to do now. I read some threads to go to Boot loader screen by pressing "Camera" + "Reset" button and got USB at bottom left and tried RUU with some thing available on forum but every thing failed saying "connection not established"
Please guide me to solve this problem.
if ur device is CID LOCKED "G4" u need to flash the official rom 1st then flash with any G4 safe rom available >>

If OS is not boot up correctly, both ways doesn't work because all of them requires to do in a working OS.
You should find your stock ROM or Wizard Love ROM, use the bundled RUU to flash it so you get the device working again, then use SoftSPL/flash HardSPL and use RUU to flash OS-only WM6 ROMs.
Yes starkwong you are right. I bought my device back working by flashing it with "wizard love" now its up and running. I would proceed with Soft SPL/Hard SPL and then try to flash it with WM6.
During th eflash of my rom radio with 1.54.00.10 the program stopped and my mobile restart in bootloader.
The problem is that the flash program doesn't want to restart flashing and my mobile stay on bootloader menu.

Did you try to flash your original shipped ROM entirely to the device?
What is IPL/SPL on your device?

I flashed with RUUWrapper.exe on my PC with usb connection but during the verification the soft said me error 260 the device not connect.
Is there a possibility to flash the rom radio without PC, directly on my mobile ?

Looks like the FLASHING TOOL is not compatible to your device! What OPERATING SYSTEM are you using?
I am not sure if your device is already CID unlocked?
If you run on XP and your device is CID unlocked use the CustomRUU (search the forum), if not: read the WIKI!

HELLLP (ive been upgrading since the xda II) and i recently got a tmobile hermes with wm5! then got wm6 upgraded it and got to about 78% and my pc died and then i tryed recovery did not work had to go to work so i left it! got back and ive tryed so many more upgrades of the image with no luck its stuck on splash screen! ive placed it into bootloader mode then ran ruu wrapper and it gets to the bit of updrading (25mins and a progress bar) and the phone goes white with upgrading image 0% then on the pc i get error 262!! and thats as far as i got please can some1 help thankyou so much

I thought I knew what I was doing and have managed to load the Wizard Love rom to my HTC but I can't connect to activesync or anything. The splash screen shows...

Have I killed it? Is there anyway of just reloading the standard ROM, it was O2 and I was trying to unlock to Orange.

No if the phone still functions at all its not bricked just re-flashed the original rom
SIM Unlocking does not requires use of Wizard Love ROM when using lokwiz03, Just flash with your original carrier ROM, then use lokwiz03 to get the SIM unlock code and enter it when prompted with Organge SIM inserted.

Hello everyone.
I have a problem with my G4 from Vodafon Germany.
I woke up this morning and it was stuckd up. I did a soft reset...denn came the Bootloader and it stopped there.
The Bootloader shows:
IPL 2.21.0001
TPL 2.21.0001
I tried to flash the ROM from Vodafone Germany ROM-Version 2.21.3.1from here: http://www.vodafone.de/hilfe-support/technischer-support/97016_93771.html
It says 100% success, then Congratulations, the Phone starts up again and it is again stucked up in the Bootloader. It still shows only:
IPL 2.21.0001
TPL 2.21.0001
What should i do to get it working again?

Problem solved.
I just took the Battery out for 5-10 Minutes.
It works now with the WIZ LOVE Rom.
I'll install TNT later.

i have the same problem
but that battery trick wont work with my cell phone
i really dont know
but i dont have it flashed right.
because with the exe files of ruu's and more of them
he wont go furhter than 0%
it says device not detected no response, because when i launch the exe files
active sync will just lose connection.
after this i get this same bootloader problem

hey, im new but have read many of the pages here. i have burnt roms to my first wiz (G3) unlocked it and everything went well. i came about a wiz (G4) last week wm5 bland rom locked and want to get wm6 on it so after my research i went to the IMEI unlock site and purchased the unlock for the g4
the unlock seemed to go well the first time but, it won't come out of boot loader mode
i ran hornet o.10 for g4 it runs and completed to 100 % and then on reboot it comes up with the boot screen again

i ran the tnt 1933 rom this morning and it completed 100% but still i have a boot screen
i know im missing something the battery power is fine .
i downloaded the stock rom for cingular but it won't load it has error "(294) INVALID VENDOR"

Are you sure SPL is 2.21 and not 2.21.0001 as IPL 2.21.0001 ?
Well,if its 2.21 only,the phone's got mixed Bootloaders (IPL/SPL),IPL 2.21.0001 are G4 and SPL 2.21 is G3,I don't know how you got it,but your phone is 'Bricked'

so it appears there could be a problem with the imei program,
as i said it never came out of boot mode after the unlock
and no errors were shown ...
i could get another and replaced the main board, this one is in new condition
except for the custom bricked rom . in the future i will not play with a g4
thanks for the diagnosis, no way to flash a new spl / ipl ... i did read that if
it booted you could get it back in some chance cases .. i am curious as to how this happened (others not doing this for a hobby could brick there only phone)
step 1 - ran imei unlock
never came out of boot mode after
2- flashing the to above roms said to be G4 safe
i never look to see what the ipl / spl were before
i looked with the wizard tool but didn't save it
well you live and learn, it's good for parts now off to ebay for another crack at it ...

I recommend trying to flash back to original service provider ROM, then unlock again and try another. As long as you can get to bootloader (tri-color screen), there's still hope for your phone. When it's in this mode, and you plug in the USB, does it say USB at the bottom of the phone screen? If so, you are not dead yet.
Custom build wm6 roms like TNT etc... never Brick a G4 phone as no IPL/SPL is included in them,they are completely safe for G4 devices.What I can gather,it must be the wrong imei unlock code perhaps.
Well,like Myrddin Wyllt said,there's no harm in trying,so if it gets into Bootloaders,try to flash the official rom and if there's an error "wrong update utility" ,replace the RUU in the rom with this RUU and run this RUU,hope it might work.

yes sir i can talk to the phone from xp pro ..
USB does come up
so i can swap the RRU with the nbf file i need ...
no file name change required on the xxx.nbf file
thanks alot for the(schooling) advise ... i was going to need to brick another to make some book ends... this could save me that

ok, i swapped out every RUU i could find i get errors from
read file
invalid vendor id
wrong update utility
im too new to figure this out ..can you extract a ipl / spl from an
official rom and then flash that to get the boot loader's back in sync
i found the att 8125 ipl /spl nbf when i flash, it runs to 100% reboots but no changes
anyone have a link to flashing just the ipl / spl on the g4
i am most thankful for any advise ..
try running the hardspl on phone, it might just work to revert it back to a G4 spl.

Also I paid to the IMEI Check and I had to change the plate because the PDA died as yours. E had not returned to the money of the IMEI Check only reply to me was that it had to change of plate ..... It had the unblocked CID?
