Case for Extended Battery? - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam Accessories

I was thinking of getting the boxwave aluminum case, and maybe the extended life battery.. but.. there's no way the phone will fit in there with the extended battery in it. Does anyone know of a case which would fit the extended life battery?

Definitely do not get the aluminum case. The door opens very easily and your device will fall out. Fortunately it happened to me on soft carpet, I would have been much more upset in the parking lot or down the jetway between the plane and the jetway!!

Case for TYTN/Hermes with extended battery

Does anybody know of a decent case for those of us using extended batteries on our devices?
I have a 2400mah Cameron Sino battery which unfortunately renders my silicon cut-away case pretty useless.
Case for use with extended battery
From the pictures at their website, looks like this case will work with the use of an extended battery. The back of the phone faces outward and you can see the full outline of the battery cover.

that looks nice, but I still worry about the whole clip and such falling off. I've dropped my Axim so many times that without the magnesium case...

That would be impossible because the clip does not detach from the holster, it's permanetly attached The only way the phone could fall is if you drp it after you pull it from the holster.

Those type of holsters do fall off with the device attached especially if you don't wear a belt.

Body glove and this battery?

I'm wondering because the body glove case has some extra room it might take this battery without the extended back.

Maybe the 2300 is thinner than the 2600 Sedio?
I doubt it will work.. I have that back cover along with the fully extended one.. while on the top its as small as the oem, the rest of it is still as big as the extended one..
I want to use the Body Glove back if at all possible. I really don't want to go thicker than that.

Extended silicone case??

Hey does anyone know if we have an extended silicone case yet?? I want to get either the 4000 mah battery or the 3500 mah battery but I need a silicone case for it.
Give it just a little time I bet Trident Case will come out with their Electra Case which is case and battery included for like 70 total...
I'm interested in this too. I have the HTC OEM silicone case and love it, but it won't fit on an extended battery (if I get the extended battery)
I hope they do. I had to cut a rectangle bigger then the battery for my 3500 on the og EVO. It was ugly but worked

Extended Battery

Are there any extended batteries available for the AT&T version yet?
The Hyperion 5000 mah battery on Amazon looks awesome, but the back cover doesn't fit the US version
Maybe u can tweak the back cover.
What moved? Is there a thread where they show the difference in rear cover between the AT&T version and the international version?
Is the battery that bulky or what? I just don't see the purpose of their bulky back cover. Seidio is coming out with their own extended battery, a little pricey but I would prefer it.

whats the biggest extended battery so far that can fit in the standard back?
Don't think there's any extended batteries that fit the OEM cover.
I took an x-acto knife and carefully modified the tabs from the amazon hyperion battery, took me 20 mins and it fits fine.
That said, it has a good feel in the hands, but it makes the phone pretty ugly.

Extended batteries

Got a quick question. My battery is dying and I'm in the market for an extended battery. What's everyone's experiance and or recommendations for a good one?

I bought one on Amazon, a third party that advertised 25% more use time without needing a new cover. It didn't work, giving me 50% LESS use time than my dying stock battery.

You could try going for the Trident Electra case, keeps your phone safe, and giving pretty exceptional battery life, if you use it moderately. Unfortunately it's a bit expensive at $80-$100 now, and not to mention it doubles the size and weight of your phone considerably.
On the other hand, you can try your luck with the 3500-3800mah batteries on ebay, for 8-10 bucks it seems like a deal and lasts me with moderate use, 24-30 hours, so I'm pretty happy with that.

I second the Trident Electra recommendation. Available on Amazon for $40 shipped. It's a nearly indestructible case with a not-so-indestructible holster (broke mine after only a week - what do you expect from a plastic clip?). However, you can mod the holster with a steel belt clip from the military surplus store and now it's indestructible. Comes with a 3200 mAh battery that lasts me 2 days of regular usage, or 5 hours of providing WiFi for my tablet before hitting the 20% mark.
I shudder to think what my DX2 would look like by now without this case. I've dropped it at least 20 times. The case is barely scuffed. My DX2 still looks like I just unboxed it. The Trident case uses a hybrid of hard plastic and rubber. You start by installing the battery, then you slip the whole phone into the rubber sleeve (there is no battery cover - it's not needed). Then a hard plastic exoskeleton with a built-in screen protector snaps into place over the rubber. There's rubber at all the corners, so as long as the phone doesn't fall screen first onto rocks, you'll still be smiling. There are two thick rubber plugs that are permanently attached to the sleeve to cover the USB/HDMI and headset ports. The plugs keep out dust, but will lock in the open position when you use the port.
Some might consider $40 to be a lot to spend on an extended battery, but when you add in a case that's just as good as the Otter case ($30) or any other case plus a screen protector, I'd rather buy this than those questionable $10 batteries with made-in-China cells in them.
