I have an T-Mobile MDA III (German, I think the same model Buzz has/had) with a cracked LCD display.
From what I can pick up on these boards I need the following LCD replacement:
Sony ACX502BMV-7 - however, the board I have received from a supplier on eBay is the following: Sony ACX502BMU-7518J11D, 60H00015-01, designed for a Dopod 700.
Before I open the packaging, can anyone tell me if this part is suitable for my MDA III.
Its been broken for some time now and I want to get it going again now that I am feeling better and ready for WM5.

Hi LGSilva, unfortunately not that simple, there is more than one lcd screen for the BA, I just need to know if the LCD model quoted will work with my unit.
The Dopod 700 is certainly one of the many HTC clones, but some of the units have slightly different specs etc including different LCD displays/boards etc.

If the second part number "60H00015-01" on your new screen is the same on the WIKI then probably it isn't it.

Tnx Janeway,screen arrived yesterday morning and with these instructions i've got from you,it was nothing to replace it,i had it done in 1h30 and everything is fine again.
Also thanks to the Ebay seller where i've bought it,it was the correct item

As others here, I faced a cracked screen on my Folio 100 because the screen popped a bit out of it's housing.
As others, I faced a Toshiba that said: user abuse, basically saying I was a liar regarding how the problem occured. Repair cost higher than initial purchase of the tablet.
So... I told the store I bought it from I was willing to go to court. I don't care about a few bucks. It's the principle. The store went back to Toshiba, time passed. Somewhere along the line, the store found out I'm also involved with the biggest tech site in the Netherlands - which e-mail address I never use for orders as I don't want to get special treatment. So guess what happened...
Toshiba, out of the goodness of their hearts, still did not acknowledge my issue, but offered to make a special exception for my case. Surprise surprise. The snag however, they still state my issue can only be user abuse although I have stated to be prepared to go to court over that.
Very nicely done: the offer to make an exception for me, means I have no case in court for the warranty part. But... They're essentially still calling me a liar - I don't like that.
So... I have opened a thread on their forums, that are known for letting disappear the entire Folio section an many realted posts. See how they handle that.

If you have issues with your Folio, especially the screen showing to be coming out of the housing, however little, post it there. I'm not the only one facing this.

I have the same problem with mine. The screen sometimes pop up in a corner about 2mm. I have not taken it to the store because I figured they would tell me it is just rough handling like you was told.

I have been checking Ebay for weeks without any luck.
Searching on Google is a pain in the as* .. No real luck there either.
motherboard is very expensive, it will cost you 65-70 percent of price of phone. you can get it replaced from any samsung service centre.
I will prefer to buy a phone with broken screen as it will cost almost same but will have many parts extra.

Buying a phone with broken glas is not so easy either since people are asking ridicilous prices..

hi! i saw the post in ebay regarding the main board the only cost around $20 but i have a question. it says that ic and other parts are not included, what does it actually mean? can i install it on my s3 with only the main board itself without the ic parts? or the ic parts are already on the s3 so they did not include the ic parts?
it's just a piece of plastic that all the chips are soldered on

Maybe i ask dumb questions, because no one seems to respond to any of my posts on xda, (maybe im not cool because i don't physically design cell phone software-hehe) but ive googled this a lot and haven't found a solid android hardware repair forum or at least one that suites my needs/or one that i like. I don't really care for IFixit fyi.
Long story short ive been a hardware guy forever. Computers phones. thousands of computer and laptop even motherboard refurbs. Last two years done hundreds of digitizer/glass/logic board repairs on all sorts of mobile devices , i learned through trial and error and Youtube Vids.
I was given a Verizon s4 w/cracked screen (never worked on an s4, but have done plenty S5/S3/S2 + Iphone) from a guy at work.
I get all power lights w/no sound, and the guy that gave it to me knows nothing technical, and said the screen was "bleeding" but i got it home and i see no signs of life whatsoever from the lcd, but it does appear to boot and power properly
I ordered and installed the whole new digitizer assembly, from what i now know to be a nonreputable ebay source,and the digitizer came alive but didnt respond to touch-i returned it. I need to (hopefully) rule out a logic board problem somehow.
Can someone point me in the direction of a reputable forum for mobile hardware repair??? (besides ifixit or gsm)

I've recently dropped my MIX 4 and glass on the display is cracked. And since this phone is china-only, can someone tell me how can I get the replacement parts? Do you know something? It's a small crack but I want to replace the glass or even the display. Or if anyone here is living in China and can help me with this?
