Maybe some thing is wrong to your device. Cause PDAViet 4.3 gains 8MB of page pool size, that why free of memory program is about 27MB.

This is an important question. even if you have wm6 already flashed, you still need to hard reset and downgrade to WM5 AKU2.2 before flashing back.

In fact you don't have to downgrade WM5.
After hard resetting the device and waiting align screen appear again, you can flash another rom WM6 . When you need some applications (if any) in ext_rom automatically run after flashing rom, it must be downgrade WM5 before.

I mean, after flashing PDAViet 4.0.0.3, free of memory program is approximative 27MB. If it goes down 10MB, please check and close some applications which are running in background to free memory

this is when it first boots up it just takes ages to go from 10 to 27 all i do is open the memory window and watch and wait for the number to rise!
I thought the PDAViet versions are 1.0, 1.1, 4.0.0.0.1, 4.0.0.0.2, 4.0.0.0.3. I can understand 4.0.0.3 could be a typo but where the heck version 4.3 came from? I hope and I think the author must have a thought and reason when a version is named and will not too happy to have people keep changing its name and getting confusing.

Try this, dial a free line number, play around the side bar up and down, then try speaker on and speaker off. If it is ok then v2.20CHS is speaker bug free. On top of that the bug i mentioned here was the speaker phone is automatically speaker on whenever u receive or calling out a call. The volume when speaker on is twice louder than normal. Try confirm again.

2, the program is not ready for SE still got bugs, closing problems/hang/delay,
but I never got the problems you say after turn off/take off from today screen.... ok with my screen
1) ok good.
2) try few times repetitously. Click on the battery pack today's plugin button, uncheck few items and do a sudden close at the top right 'X' button. Do it several of times, I'm very sure your today screen will idle or hang wif some of the info like Owner's name, tasks, messaging will get dissappear.
If you can still have a very nice complete today screen after performing the above step (2), well i must say the v2.20CHS is very stable.
Last but not least what do u mean by closing buttons/hang/delay? Mind elaborate a bit?

To delete a file from rom rename and delete.
To replace files in rom rename copy new file and if you want it then delete the renamed file.
If the file don't have the same name then just rename the file in rom and copy the new file. But in this case you've to edit the registry too (I think, am no sure right now) to activate the new mui.

Guys do try this!! This is very useful and i had been using it for very long. U can install it in ur storage card and never need to install it again if u reflash ROM cos u can just link shortcut to it and use it
It actually help to free locked up RAM, but it does not increase available RAM tho.
As wat i had explained to generalriden before he posted this, The sktool helps to increase RAM by reducing the caches used by the device when it 1st booted. But however, cache suppose to increase speed to access some often used file or appz, so its a take-and-give thing between SPEED VS RAM. Do try to use the optimize function and chose FOR MEMORY and reboot to see the different

after playing around with neokit (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=357893), i figured out that korand's bigstorage - and probably any other - is not a result of merging the extended rom with main memory but only of deleting the nb-image (among others).
although i really appreciate their works and love korand's 2.5, i am curious if their might be a way to do a genuine merger. and if not, mabe someone can give me an idea why this might not work.

No. it's not about merging unused Ext.ROM.(they got BigStorage not with merging it togethers.Shadow TE have also a bit"big storage" with around 58 MB. But Ext.ROM is fully use.)
BUt if what you mean,is unlock Ext.ROM and use it as storage?(you can use a cab for it) or you can make it automatically Unlock Ext.Rom to use it as storage ,when you install the ROM?
I think that is possible, necessary to clean only in boot.rgu (Xip) from all that is connected with extrom. That is, to remove all marking extrom

After a longer time of using Athena Project Black Dual by PK 3.0 (SPL 1.2), I decided to flash the one of SPL 1.2 ROMs from MichyPrima's ROM studio, v2.04DL,
based on WM 6.1 ROM.
I use my Ameo on daily basis as a message client. The first thing I tried after flashed a new ROM was how e-mail works. Works as I expected, but with a strange message flaw, which is very unconfortable I beleive not just for me.
Default message setting was: Keep copies of sent items in Sent Items folder, but there is no copies retained in Sent Items folder, no matter if I check or uncheck
the checkfield.
Just from curiosity, I have installed the last MiChY's SPL 1.2 ROM, v2.14DL from 08/13/08, and the same problem exist in that ROM version.
Users feedback:
- pdajoy confirmed presence of mentioned message flaw also in original HTC WM 6.1 ROM, at post #664, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=2584476&posted=1#post2584476
- lennie confuted presence of the same message flow at post #668, same link.
- MiChY confirmed presence of the same message flaw in his ROMs at post #679, same link.
I appreciate if anyone using any WM 6.1 ROM may check presence of mentioned
e-mail message flaw (no copies in Sent Items folder) and leave feedback here.
Special appreciate to anyone who may solve this flaw.

If you may upload _your_ ROM files on any Public Upload Service, I am ready to reflash again, to see if there is some difference between our ROM files. I suppose you are using SPL 1.2?

I am uploading the nbh now but it will take a while.
I have flashed most of the roms available on this forum including flashing between spl versions and back again and seen most problems(and resolved them)
i even lost my radio and had the bootloader error.
But I have never had your issue

Irus' ROM (I'm using his latest) does not have this issue. When I send out my emails, a copy is kept in the sent folder.

ljw666, thank you for your report. MiChy reports the same flaw in a new ROM build, copies retain in Sent Items folder just for a few seconds... do you made any additional settings on your email account or maybe in registry?
I have tried 4 different ROMs, the only one which is without strange message flaw is AP 3 Dual. Now I am going to try Irus' latest ROM (if it is for SPL 1.2) which is also reported without message flaw...

I am very sorry for that, but this is not your fault. If you find a spare time, would you please check some registry settings. There are a few users of your ROMs, who have not a strange message flaw. Maybe their registry settings may help to solve that problem?
Just to register my confirmation again.
Still having AP Dual 3.0 and no message retained in sent folder after email out.
NOTE: Keep copies of sent items in Sent folder - TICKED in option/message menu.

Thought I just can catch 2 things at once. Having the Vodafone ROM secure in case of defect (sending back to supplier only possible with original ROM) and supplying missing Vodafone ROM to the wikipart of xda-developers.

The Raws are extracted already, but I still do not really know how it works to cook the whole thing and create a full rom. I am reading and reading, but not everything is clear to me yet.
There are lots of descriptions and howto´s, most of them are not really detailed and clear for beginners.
If anyone is very good at cooking roms, maybe he could help. I can upload the raws.
Otherwise this will take much more time I think.

The Raws are extracted already, but I still do not really know how it works to cook the whole thing and create a full rom. I am reading and reading, but not everything is clear to me yet.
There are lots of descriptions and howto´s, most of them are not really detailed and clear for beginners.
If anyone is very good at cooking roms, maybe he could help. I can upload the raws.

ok u can upload them, i'll prepare the NBH for u. but upload at mediafire only, i wont be able to access RS etc.

Not sure if my server is fast enough, but you can upload them here as well, accessable from nearly everywhere

But I uploaded all 4 Raw-Parts 00-03 and it´s ~ 400mb
No Problem for my Server I think. The download should be pretty okay.

only part01 and part02 are needed, part03 is useless
anyway, i'm downloading it right now, will upload it soon.

Did you change anything or just cook the original Vodafone Germany ROM?
If no changes, I will put it in the shipped ROM WIKI page.
i didnt change anything inside it. but still u can't call it as a shipped ROM coz it can't be flashed without an HSPL. so u can make a separate category for Dumped Original ROMs
PS: it still needs to be tested.
