Change Model ID! - JAMin, XDA Neo, S200 ROM Development

Everyone known WM6 Prophet ROM is based on Wizard, and Model ID is recognized with WIZA200 phrase.
Although you can hack registry to amend on Device Information, but in fact it is still WIZA200.
I use Hex to edit OS.nb file and change PM300 phrase i/o WIZA200 phrase at 2 offset address 00003cb0 and 003138b0 but it shows WM300 not PM300 . I think there are one more others offset address which intervene Model ID that I can't find.
My Guys, who is interesting in, go to work and solve it now! Or anyone, who solved it, present your way!
Come on, Guys!
P/S: Model ID is not important, doesn't affect system. It is determinate only, but I dislike using Prophet with Wizard's name

As I wrote above, you can add HKEY_CURRENT_USER\System\ModelID key to amend, but you do NOT change model name completely.

Do you think it is possible to port Wizard's 10.0.15342.0 to Prophets?
Thanks.

yes, version 4.91. do a search on threads about blackberry and athena words.
Yes, there was a guy that got it working. I think he even got it working on the latest Athena Project ROM by PK. Just an FYI...not sure if the ROM had anything to do with it or not.

yes, change in the windows.nb the word Htc-Athena into HTC-Hermes (appears 2 times) and reflazsh this file. you can have complete instructions in the forums abot bb hacking. it works perfect -and fast...
Thanks for that. Can you point us to some easy instructions for this?

Here you have:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1420252&postcount=302
you have to extract from the rom the os.nb, with nbextract. Later do the edit of the file looking for the HTC-Athena and change into HTC-Hermes. Next step is introduce this file in your Athena, do a hard reset and job done.

Thanks for that. Only problem (and I may be really thick here) is that I can't find NBExtract or any of the other tools I need to do the job. I think I will wait for the time being before going to WM6. Being a noob at Rom hacking (but fairly technical generally) i think I need a little more info before i take a working wm5 Athena and hope I can get it working on WN6 with Blackberry connect

I guess this means unlocking the device in order to flash it, unless you use your own CID's image. Has anyone flashed an HTC branded device? If so, could you be kind enough to upload the resulting ROM that includes BBC?
Thanks.

It's very risky to share this class of files. And modificate a rom is very easy, you should try it. It is not difficult.
Where to find the tools?

the files named on the post mencioned above refer only the 5X4 keyboard which is the htc keyboard. So the keypad is out of the picture here.
I'll see if I can find get it to work once I have some time at home since it shouldn't be too diferent from the keyboard.
ah ok, I suspected that too.
Do you think it's necessary to create new regestry keys for the target language in SIP\Bitmaps?

Yes I do...
It's probably the same ones but when referencing keyboard you'll have to insert in the keypad section of the registry.
The files should be named something like 4X4 instead of 5X4 which is the key matrix.

ok you only need to add \et9\Sip\KdbFiles a Reg key named 0AXX with value "12.pthpd.kdb" (this if for my language of course).

One more question though (since you're online), when i am doing changes on manilla files and those shell DLLs and so on, am i playing with the original ROM?
In other words, i want to play with my mobile as i wish, but when i choose to do factory defaults, i want it all to be gone and do things from scratch, is that too late for me? Am i already playing with the factory ROM?
Cheers Kardash
I don't know what you do exactly but if you use and run some applications like rom upgrade utility (RUU) probably u are changing or already have changed the original one.
Don't be concern with it, no problem i think, there are so many modified WM6/6.1roms here and there is also official WM5 rom you can easily find.
Kardash (kardeş) means "brother" in Turkish, did you mean this? if so, how do you now?

As for Kardash (Kardeş), well, i once visited turkey, it was lovely, and i learnt this word there Then when i saw that ur from Turkey

2 questions:
1. I grabbed the latest topaz source and the .rar contains 3 .raw files in it - does anyone know what tool I should use to put it back together? I googled it extensively and it still eludes me... duh! i searched for .raw and I should have searched for part02.raw... answer found!
2. Can I discard the dpi and resolution specific folders and use the remaining folders to update the OS of a QVGA kitchen? Or, are they intrinsically bound together?
Any response is greatly appreciated

Work fine on mine.
Do you use old kitchen or new kitchen???
I ever read at thread (I forget which one, but it not in GENE) old kitchen will build registry directly to boot.hv, if you put it inside boot.rgu or boot-ms.rgu, it will not be processed. Try to put it in the boot.hv, you need to convert it to *.rgu first.

yep i m using
Code:
PACKAGE_Rhodium_LockStreamDRM
PACKAGE_Rhodium_LockStreamDRM_0409
And you have the entries in boot.rgu? the timewizard.exe and others? Also i would recommend to revert to the original one since it doesn't do any good to the phone to get a new one. It doesn't adds any features or performance benifits.
Plus use a platform rebuilder based kitchen since it recompiles boot.rgu to boot.hv everytime it builds a rom.
yep i have
Code:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\LSOMACORE]
"Index"=dword:00000001
"Prefix"="DRM"
"Dll"="lsomacore.dll"
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\StorageManager\Filters\LsFilter]
