Yep. Did that .. :S

this is because you use novii remote right? this happens if you execute the program without preinstalling it after phone main memory format.

install Memmaid(or Pocket mechanic),and find the notification "\windows\nrdwakeup.exe".Delete it,and it should be ok...

Need help with flashing error.

Hi,
I have a G3 Prophet, I did flash it with WM6 before & it worked but now every time i try to flash with [pdaviet] 4.0.0.0.4s_pv or other WM6 roms i get the same freakin error " Could not update itsutils.dll to the current version, maybe its in use?"
I tried restarting my activesync & rebooted the pc (winxp), The funny thing is when i try to flash with the NOID WM5 flash it works great.
I also flashed a G4 Prophet & it worked.
Before reflashing...
U need to downgrade to WM5 OEM with e.g : RUU_Prophet_220734_2207114_024721_NVID
(Look for on this board )
I had the same problem.

1.When you get to the boot screen, let WM5 start, tap once and do a hard reset.
2.Load WM6.

If you followed exactly what others suggested, it should be okay. Read the Sticky notes on top of the forum and follow EXACTLY word by word.
If you think you have done so but still failed, there is another way to get around the "itsutils.dll in use" problem -- just copy the 2 .cabs (Cert_SPCS.cab and EnableRapi.cab) in the folder of the new ROM, into the PPC phone any directory and run them. then repeat the 2nd step. It will go away. But that is not a clean method.
Hope it helps. Good luck.

Try to move the install folder to C:/
I'm not sure if it is the same error message, but months ago I had the same prob and after this it worked.
Good luck

In the WM6 install folder ou will find 2 .cab files.
Bring them to the mobile and install them.
After that try again.
Should work.
Did you perform step1 before running Crystal upgrade?
I had the same problem... It worked successfully on a different computer.

I have now tried 6 different computers, no luck. Believe that the fault is that I must unlock the phone or something. Donno, maybe the easiest thing is to sell the whole phone and get one a little more "programming friendly"?

I saw from one of the thread, somebody also has the same exact problem, this is caused by the path is too long. It is suggested to put it in C:\, which you said you have done. The other person reported that it's working after he moved the installation file. I dun understand why it wouldn't work with yours.
Here is the post, finally found it:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=1549150#post1549150
User reported the problem was solved in #318
did u unlock CID yet?
Hi again. Found the problem. It seems that I was using a somewhat corrupt downloaded rom. The rom was ok, but it must have been destroyed during the downloadprocess.
Now the phone has Gullum Touch IX installed and works like a charm.
Thank for all your help, great forum!

truble in updating to a new rom

Hello guys, i own a stock vodafone TP. I've tried several rom updates however all of them stuck at the beginning where it shows the % bar, it starts and stuck at 0 %.
the latest rom i've tried was "EnergyROM 2.0 40509" i did it through the "EnergyROM Upgrade.exe".
is there anything i'm missing here??
help me please..
if u can extract the *.nbh file (assuming it is inside the EnergyROM Upgrade.exe), then u can try flash using microSD. And u should post in EnergyROM thread.

if i am reading your post correctly, you've never been able to flash a custom rom. If this is the case, have you "hard spl" your phone as yet?
Yes you're right. maybe i mixed up with the whole process of the hard spl even though i had read the guide several times .
First HSPL your phone...
Then Flash the ROM of your choice...
And READ, READ, READ, READ a lot, before...
thanks man!!! i'll try

So i have tried to Hspl my phone using http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=448008 guide, but no luck.
first i tried to run the RaphaelHardSPL-Unsigned_190_1_3.exe but it said that there was an error, then i used the SSPLManual.exe the phone turned black and an icon appeared on my pc's task bar saying there's a new "something" - (can't remember the actual name) found. And that was it.
what should i do next because i saw at the bootloader that the spl remained the same..

leave the phone plugged in when it says installing "something." even if it takes 5 minutes...let it sit until the computer installs the driver.
then run the spl again. this happens to me every now and then. just give it time to install the driver.
you ment to run the RaphaelHardSPL-Unsigned_190_1_3.exe from my computer ??
yes...
it needs to install the driver for flashing the device.. on the pc.. when it done the hardwarewizard tell you that it works.. after that start the hardspl prog
thanks, i'll give it a try later on this day 'cause i'm at work now
that would be the best option
i doubt ur systemcommander let you install anything like drivers and tools to withstand his authority lol
LOL i don't think anybody minds what i do on my computer here at work..
then whats the wait ? hehe
mmm the data cable i guess... don't have it here
lmao
oke oke u got me there
(they're like 3 bucks in most local stores (not that im an addict or anything (a)))
not at all )
by the way, i've tried yesterday to do exactly as you told but no luck.
after i used the SSPLManual and pressed the RaphaelHardSPL-Unsigned_190_1_3.exe it said " error - there's a problem operating or something like that"

Flashing stock ROM simple question

Ok,
I've downloaded a stock ROM from the HTC site and want to install it. I keep getting error 266. Yes I've read the wiki, searched plenty. Tried most fixes.
Just want to know, if I'm flashing a stock ROM do I need to install HSPL first?
The tutorials I've found are mostly for custom ROMs and as far as I know for a custom ROM you need to install HSPL.
Do you need to install this for a stock ROM?
Thanks.

No sir; Stock ROM don't need HSPL, (and certainly not in combination with 3.14 stock ROM)
Error 266 is a connection problem; are you well connected over active sync? did you disconnect AntiVirus temporary?
From where do you get start Home-screen or Boot-screen?
Witch stock rom are you trying to install?
I didn't think that it needed HSPL.
Yes, I've double checked the connection in windows mobile device centre. (running windows 7)
I have turned off the realtime protection with macafee.
It gets to the bootloader (Multicoloured screen)
It says USB in the white section at the bottom. Installs drivers but then errors with 266.
The ROM I'm trying to install is 3.14 from the HTC support site (Cannot post link)
Would it be a good idea to try an older ROM first?
Thanks,
Al

No, no need of a older ROM.
And about the link; no needed. I know it
A suggestion is to try to flash while you are on home screen instead of Bootloader; and try a otter usb port (if you have).
Ps; restart your pc and device firs.
PS 2; don't forget to run the RUU_Leo_S_HTC_... by administrator [right click on it and select Run as administrator]

I've tried it from the homescreen (I think) Whats the difference? I plugged in the usb cable and selected activesync mode. Then as it starts to gather information it changes to the bootloader.
I've tried different usb ports. Also tried a hub. I've rebooted my laptop and phone many times.
And I've also tried running as an administrator.
I don't suppose that you can unpack the .exe and transfer it to the memory card and run it from there?
And I don't suppose having HTC Sense disabled would cause any issue.
I could try a hard reset. Although it would restore it (would do once its updated ROM anyway) but I don't want to have to set it all up again if the update doesn't work.
Any more idea's?
Thanks,
Al
Okay; strange.
Try than to flash over SD.
- Take your "RUU_Leo_S_HTC_..." file and extract the "RUU_signed.nbh" file from the ROM, rename it to "leoimg.nbh" without ""
- Place the "leoimg.nbh" on the root of ur SD.
- Reset the device while pressing the volume down button.

The only thing I can think may be causing your issue is if you have a bad block or twoin your NAND memory and it is not letting it save your your information and thefact that it has went through the set up. I would tell you how to check your blocks bit to be honest I really am not sure how you do it.I know you have to use some kind of softwarecto do it with your computer and have your HD2 connected to your computer.
