After upgrading to WM6 I have problem of running Opera. Everytime it starts and before it comes out, a message telling "Memory is low. Please completely close program and then try again." is shown.
May be someone kind enough to point me where I get wrong?
Nobody have solution to my problem? Strange.
No problems with opera after upgrade to WM6.Opera work fine.
All fine with Opera on mine. I had to hard reset once after WM6 because of other issues and haven't had any Opera problems either time.

I noticed a weird, repeatable crash I'm getting today and I'm curious if anyone else is experiencing it:
Settings>Sounds and Notifications>Notifications tab
Settings as:
Event: Phone: Incoming Call
Ring type: Vibrate and ring
Ring tone: Ring-OldPhone2
When I test the settings, everything works fine, but when I hit OK to leave the page, the Event box goes blank, and it kicks me out to an error message that there's been a shell32.exe crash. (It keeps whatever settings I make, though.)
Whether I pick send or don't send, a new screen then comes up and thanks me for sending the error data. Then, it goes out to a splash screen that shows the phone as locked. I have to hit the lock button to get back to my Today screen.
I can repeat this pretty consistently on my Verizon TP.

No idea. I've had about 10 Windows Mobiles/Pocket PCs, and I've never had it happen before.

i get this error with the TF3D at times and have to restart TF3D
I have had this happen a couple of times too, both times I was previewing ringtones.
I had that problem when I first got my phone I went crazy and used Adv Config to change nearly everything there was, shortly afterwards I got a shell32.exe error and a gwes.exe error. I finally did a hard reset and tweaked more carefully and since then haven't had any problems.
I've searched this a little but haven't really found any sort of solution to this relatively simple problem. My Touch Pro works great overall, but after I use Opera, whenever I want to open a different program, open Opera again, or essentially open any window, the phone hangs with the WM symbol in the middle (just thinking). It eventually goes away, and fails to execute whatever I want it to open. A soft reset brings it back to good, but that is a pain when you have to do it 5-7 times a day to make ur phone work. Is there anything in the registry perhaps I should be checking? I feel as though memory is being dumped somewhere after a program is used and it is clogging the phone. Any insight would be great. i used the search but could not find anything..
I am having some issues with eh phone..
it freezes up when even i want to use it..
i can use it for a few minutes and then freezes up.
everything goes really slow or just doesn't react.
i didn't open anything special
just tried a hard reset..
only added google maps but didn't open it.
have exchange and hotmail syncing.
that's it..
soft reset helps for a few minutes and then it crashes again..
i really have no clue why this happens..
does anybody have a suggestion that i could try?

Well, could be simply a hardware problem (either a faulty one or f.i. a loose connection after dropping it).
Do you use your S740 only since a short while (new device) or have these problems started after a while ?
I use it now for a year and 4 months (actually with quite a few apps installed) and it's incredibly stable.
Sometimes it gets a bit slow, and then I do a soft reset.
But thats maybe bi-weekly.
I suspect that using McGuider navigation software alongside other apps (like Opera mini/java and Audio Notes and always bluetooth on) is the cause most of the time.
Only with SmartToolkit I had some structural problems of freezing.
There's one thing you can try:
I did read in some cases with people with serious problems, who needed a hard-reset, that only after a few hard resets their S740 again worked as new.
So try a few more hard-resets.

I had the same problems after Hard Reset.I fixed it by Loading the akku to 100%,Switching off the phone,Removing the akku,Removing the SIM,Removing the StorageCard,Insert the Akku,Hold Down the Volume down button+the button in the middle of the cursor und short press on the power button and folow the text on the screen!Let the phone finish all and let it reboot and let it install all the original stuff!After a few reboots and when the phone seams to be finished you can install the Sim and start the phone again,let it install all the provider stuff,when its finished you can install the Storage....if you let the sim and the storage in the phone and make a reset something wents wrong at installing!

I'm getting tired of this annoying problem. Four times it had happened to me and each time I reinstalled the phone software with the pc companion. It doesn't matter whether I'm not rooted (the first two times) or rooted. It kept on occurring. SMSes don't come in while others seem to be working fine, phone, internet, etc. I've tried restoring the sms related things using titanium back up but yet it seemed that the only remedy is reinstalling. Thought this time, I got an idea of may cause this. Each time it happened, I seem to be coming out from plane mode for the second time since the software installation. Going to try that now. But in the mean time, any ideas what may be wrong or if any of you experience the same problem?
Hi, i've had the same pb, it seems coming from lack of memory, if you got the little hard drive icon with the red exclamation dot, it means you don't have enough space free, and sms aren't received. So the solution, after all, is to desinstall some of your apps to get rid of that icon and finally a little test is to, when you've done that, send a sms to yourself and see if it works again.

Well that's a huge possibility as each time it happens, that warning has pop out. But I'm sure each time the warning of low storage come on, it still has at least 10 mb. How can 10 mb not enough for texts?
Well i don't really know maybe some configuration, but i can assure you that it is one of the cause: i did a simple test, on the edge of 10mb i installed an app from the market, then the icon showed up and no sms could be received. after desinstall that same app, icon disappear, and sms was received.
I just noticed it so i try to always have this 10mb amount of memory... i just do with it, maybe someone who understands better how it works could help more than me
i have different problem. after root i cat receive nor send MMS.. working like charm without root. x10mini, 2.1 firmware.

Is anyone experiencing a problem with the Gtablet where apps are randomly exiting or closing ( but not FC's) and it's like you're hitting the back button? Sometimes windows of previously closed apps are randomly popping up? Doesn't happen all the time but very annoying when it happens. This thing happened even when I had the stock rom build 4349 , branch 1.2 and now flashed with CM7.03 pershoot. After a while without doing anything, and it's like it finished hitting the back button several times, then it settles and works fine again. I'm tempted of sending it to Viewsonic for repair but maybe someone had this issue before and had some solution or answer to what's going on. Thanks.
This has happened to me several times before, but it usually fixes it self, usually I clean the screen and the capacitive buttons. And i think that stops it. Or sometimes it may just be the app, I was having problems exactly like the ones you are describing with Opera Mobile Browser. You should also try to wipe all data/cache and format your sd card if it doesn't stop.
Thanks for the reply. I decided to send it to Viewsonic. It needed fixing of the charging connector anyways. I told viewsonic support about the problem, he seemed to know about it. So far I have not received it yet. I thought about the screen and tried cleaning it but not sure if it fixed the problem. Tried formatting the SD card too.
