well, this is for dcd and or anyone working with him. any idea when you are going to release a 3.0.2 version?
I'm sure you are working on fixing some of the bugs found in the 3.0.1 version. i am not like the ppcgeeks kitchen due to the fact that we cant costumize it like we can yours. i like what i have done with yours and cant wait for an update.
for example...
1. i like how i can go into the option file and change the "true/false" so that it is always set to what i want when i cook a rom.
2. i like how i can edit your sys/dcd to give myself a little more "codyppc" settings
3. i like how i can edit the initflashfiles.dat OEM/OEM_Lang_0409 folder to get ride of the office in start menu.
4. i could go on and on.
there is nothing wrong with the ppcgeeks kitchen, it's just not my kitchen. once you get use to something it just grows on ya.

I went to the Columbus/Detroit game on Sat.. worst.. hockey game ever for Columbus.. 4 shots on goal in the first period? Are you kidding me.. Maybe I should go back being a Rangers fan since I am from NY and living in Columbus.
Anyways, good job on the kitchen DCD.. I used a lot of your variations and can't wait to see what you have coming.
After having a few phone issues on 3.0.0, switched to 3.0.1 and all is good-- gps, bluetooth, wifi, email, MMS, PIE all great, with 20MB free. However, noticed today that there is an update to WM6.1 in the latest No2Chem build, so while there is nothing wrong with the current build, would like to see it keep getting better!

dude i went to the rangers game on friday night and they played terrible.... det is good at holding teams to few shots and ken hitchcock is a noob

2. IR not working.
3. notification button action weird sometimes.
all of these have been mentioned in the 3.0.1 thread by more than one person. i have seen all of these as well. there were a few others but i dont remember.

These are all issues probably caused by people who don't really know what they're doing and flashing wrong, or not setting up their phones correctly. There's absolutely nothing wrong with 3.0.1...everything works perfectly, and there are tons of people who feel the same way.

No2Chem's ROM's are great, but I agree that DCD is the BEST so I second the vote for a new DCD Kitchen off of the WM 6.1 5.2.19202.1.0.0 build.

my battery works fine. i can go 2 to 3 days without charging it, and i use lots of data and gps.... i don't know, maybe you guys have defective hardware or something...all i know is that if it's not draining everyone's battery, then it's not the kitchen.

Couldn't agree more. No2Chem makes great stuff and I thought it couldnt get any better until I tried DCD's kitched. Runs even more stable, and has more memory.
The only thing better than DCD's rom would be DCD's rom updated to the new build!
(I actually have no ideas what the new build does, but the version number has increased and therefor it must be better )

wifi coming on by itsself is a bug in the RADIO ROM
ir not working is a bug in WINDOWS MOBILE 6.1

as far as customizable, the ppcgeeks kitchen is more customizable imo, and you can edit the option.xml just the same way as you can in dcd's.
DCD, everything looks great that you have done here. I have been unable to locate a tutorial or directions on how to install and use your kitchen. I was able to get the olipro 2.40 unlocker and sprint 3.35 rom installed on my altell ppc6800 last night but I accidentally let the sprint customizations run. I was able to get the locker and flash everything back to my altell oem rom and my phone works againl. Before I try again, is there already an altell rom that has been made by you or anyone else that should be run after I stop the sprint customizations from running or can someone point me in the right direction on how to actually use the kitchen to make my own that has all the software etc.. everything is flawless with my 3.01 build so far.
The only thing I'd like to see if what the difference is between 19199 and 19202, like a changelog or something
There may be a workaround, but HTC Task Manager (which is included with 3.0.1) does not close apps when the X button is pressed. Also, there is no "Quick Menu" on the Today screen even though that option is selected.
Anybody else having these problems with HTC Task Manager (v2.0.30995)?

blame the radio. i recently traveled in EvDO coverage and finally saw what everyone is complaining about. my battery would only last 6-8 hours (and my EV coverage was fine) unless i forced 1x only. but my power settings have not changed in months. im sorry, i wish i could be of more help, but i believe htc to be at fault and dont know if theres anything i can do.

Ok well if it's the kitchen causing this bug, why haven't I experienced it? I used your 3.0.1 kitchen and haven't seen any issues like this...
I've tried several WM6 ROMs available in this Forum, mostly VaranusVincent ones, which I like a lot.
Most of the WM6 ROMs have problems keeping the Screen Alignment right. I mean, you have to align the screen every day or couple of days.
Is there any ROM with this problem solved?

In fact the main problem is the touch screen surface cleanless. The oil coming from the skin makes a thin oil layer on the touch screen. So the sensitivity is decreasing.

I think it's HARDWARE Issue. Not ROM Issue.
Because, with me, everythings is alright.
it's a hardware problem. But i might suggest you don't realign screen as it's outta alignment. Becuz if you do so, when it's in right alignment again, you'll be facing a wrongaligned screen again.
I need Internet Sharing, so 1d is not an option by now.

Hi, I had the same problem whenever I used any other rom. I was also of openion that it might be due to hardware problem. I also kept screen clean and clear but nothing could be fixed.
I by change used Korand Rom and found much better in all ways. You try for yourself. Hope you will get rid on your problem (cheers )

in all the ROM-threads we talk about the different radio-versions. As call quality has been THE major issue on our device I decided to make up a new thread only for radio. Hope it is ok..
I`m using Novembre5 german rom #1 with radio 5005.1600.05. The complaints about" I can´t hear you..." seem to increase in comparison to the official toshiba Swiss ROM I used before. I`m using german vodafone network, dk if its important.
Maybe we can compare our experiences with the different radios to help our great cooks to implement the"perfekt" radio for our TG01..

I guess it will depend were you are. I have tried most of the roms that had been posted here. For the purpose of testing the call quality I spent about two hours trying the roms. The original problem I had with this is the person the other end sometimes can not here me properly. A problem I did not have since I upgraded to the official toshiba rom 6.5.0. When I had november's 6.5.5 rom running to my surprise i had a worst call quality, the qualityon both sides was bad. So I tested the different roms and as a result the radio from the official toshiba upgrade is the best one for me. I am in the UK so it might be a different case with other people on other country.
And just a note the radio version that everyone is using now is originaly release for china so it might not be design for other countrys network. I guess!
Also I have posted this in a couple of threads and aragon said that he can do a tool to easily change the radio on roms. I hope it materials. so thubs up from me.
Just to add. Im using aragon's TG01 Debranded Orange UK - 6.5.0 ROM v0.010 which works perfect for me at the moment. loads of space for program and ram after installing all my apps especially for call quality issue.

so maybe we, the "european" users, should vote for an 6.5.5-ROM with the official UK-Radio. Or, if aragon gets an "easy-radio-update-tool" to work, we might be able to do it ourselves...
It seems that FFBOY radio layer is better, that what I can see, but it's not easy, because all ROM works well, with some diffenreces.... No need of SRSWOW with ffboy's ROM.

I'm from Romania this means from Europe here only work the latest Hong Kong radio driver 5005.1600.05 the other one from official UK keep getting problems in call quality.
Do i get that right: there seems to be no easy answer to the question: which is the best radio? Cant believe it, but my technical knowledge is maybe much too low for that. The "Easy-radio-update-tool" might be a possibility for every single user to find the radio that works best for him and in his country/network. So hopefully a tool like that will appear sometime in the future.

What country of you used
I use WM 6.1, but only chinese version... i don't understand nothing, but....... radio works perfectly in my country. it's the first time, when my phone works good, when i am talking with somebody... you can find this rom in the ffboys rom link (somewhere in last posts there is a link for 6.1)I AM VERY SORRY FOR MY BAD ENGLISH

Strange. I've been using ffboy's Sense Rom with 5005.1600.05 radio and my call quality is worse. Loads of people here are saying it was better for them. Mind you, it was the same story with the original 6.5 update. Loss of people had problems, but others swore blind that it was perfect for them, with some even suggesting that we must have had a bad batch with a unique hardware fault. I think it's fair to say I ruled that out. I've had 8, some of them refurbs, but the last two were brand new replacements. They were all the same for me. A couple of people suggested it was more to do with varying quality in beteen gsm or 3g areas of network coverage.
One thing I noticed that helped sometimes was to change the volume slider up or down and for some strange reason, the other caller would say that it was better, but then it would get bad again after a few minutes. I once tried dialing my own number and leaving a message on my own voicemail to see what was happening and I discovered that the sound started breaking up particularly at the point when the screen turns off shortly after the start of the call. Anyone else noticed that?

i had big problems with the 1700 radio. So i had to go back on a rom with a 1600 radio.
I tried 1600 radio version it is not that good. My friend can hear heavy echoing and the time for phone to response is too slow(in my case 20 secs later). WM6.1 has much better radio quality.
I used Japanese version of tg01, when flashed Uk rom radio dont changed, how to change radio for this version ? plz help me, this radio version is really suck (sorry my bad english)

No frequency related, those(&many others) are radio software versions (generally fitted to certain ROM versions, depending on country?!), so far nobody knows precisely differences between them...

in all recent roms Froyd Villain, Elelinux´s roms I experience that my data connection breaks down after some hours (sometimes days) and I have to restart my hero to get it going again. Additionaly my WiFi has similar problems too, just that it sometimes breaks down after some minutes so I looked for Radio updates.
All the radio threads I could find are older and it does not seem that there are recent radio updates out, so I wanted to ask which one do you guys use or where can I find recent ones?
I am European, from Luxembourg next to Germany so I guess the European radios should work

Have had this myself too. My theory is that its not radio related but maybe CPU settings. Radio flashing feels like russian roulette cos have done it myself a few times but not really sure if there was any difference. Heard that villain had a good list of radios, but don't be suprised if you already have the latest or that any make much difference : )

Yeah I checked it out but the post was around a year old so I don´t know how accurate it still is. For the rest I agree, radio updates are kind of russian roulette but atm its the only thing that I suspect could work (even though my issue is not a worst case scenario but I d still prefer it to work properly).

Anyway I have a problem with GPS (I can not switch it off) and this is the reason why I am looking around for other roms.

the question is not whether u could ask in development section.
Asking for the best rom in general is not appreciated in xda. developers put a lot of effort in making roms here. so please dont jude them. also different users will have different opinions of the same rom..
read through comments of previous users of the rom in the roms thread to see how their phones are performing with that rom.. then chose for urself..

All the S4 port roms run beautifully but they all have the same bug, when you dial when connect to bluetooth and try to change sound output method the sim turns off and you have to re-enter the sim lock pin and it comes up with the message 'radio off' anyone else get this problem?

I have the exact same problem.
I have stock 1.0.5 but I also tried MIUI 3.11.29 and the same problem persists.
The weird think is that my two best friends have the same phone (v967s) and use bluetooth.
When we speak with each other if only one changes the output to speaker or headset from bluetooth, the sims locks on both phones! (???? weird as hell, can not explain it technically ????)
