A Leather Case for my brick - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam Accessories

Hello,
since today i have for my TYTN the Seidio 3200mAH Battery in use.
But, its a brick (but I love it) and I need a case for it
Do you have tips for an leather case (pouch oder others) you fits the brick.
I tested the Seido Leather Case, hard way to take the phone out of the the case....
Thanks!!!
Oliver

Friend, you are in the situation i didn't want to be in. I was going to buy one of those battery types. Best advice is to go for a silicon one piece case from ebay. read my review. And put your other default battery back in the phone. Just use the bigger battery in emergencies.
I have yet to find a decent case that would fit the Hermes when its got the backpack on it like the one you are using. I spent weeks searching online for various cases too. You may get lucky. It may pay you to email someone like MK on ebay who make their own cases I think. I can't see it costing a great deal for them to put a case together that would fit your phone. They may tell you to wait until they get enough people wanting a larger form fit but its worth a try.

there could be a solution a DYI solution that is... and that would req to get a case to start with that is not for the hermes... BUT is the same exact width and height the depth to be the right side of battery...
now you would have to come up with some foam type or other material that you cut out exactly the shape to fit the extended battery case... and then cover it with some fabric and there you go... custom fit case for the extended battery
hey you could even find a material that is very light weight and would match without having to have a fabric material over and simply glue it on heh

Opinions on this wizard case? Seems to fit great and protect

I have a krussel case for my nokia 6620. I thought another krussel would not be a bad choice. Although if anybody has a wonderful case they can suggest that is great.
Basically i want a case that is always on, since i can drop the unit when its not in the case that was included.
I have the PDAir Aluminium one, and think it's great. I'm very rough with my electronic toys, since they are "tools" for me, and a good tool has to stand me Also bought some pretty leather case (don't remember the name), because I thought it would be a bit smaller than the PDAir, but it wasn't, and you don't see the screen with those, so I'm back to PDAir. Looking at all the scratches it already has, it seems it does it's job well...

Is it possible to extend the keyboard without removing the phone from the case?
:?:
Yup I got the solid aluminium for travel and running around and the Krussel Cabriolet is on order for evening out or light use.

I think Krussel is the best. The prices are another story, this is about 50$.

does the cabriolet from krusell protect the screen with some type of plastic over it? or does it just expose the screen?
this is the one im referring to

That case doesn't protect the screen at all
Is it just me, or are the Monaco and PDAir cases identical (including the same pictures!)??
Monaco vs PDAir
More importantly, does anyone see a problem with one of these Case & Car charger combos on ebay?
has anyone ever got/seen one of these before?

looks absolutly fantastic, and lets you use the keyboard too.
Cases
Hello there. I have the silver aluminum case. I really liked the case after I got use to it. The only problem, my phone would freeze. Lock up totally. Only way out was to hard reset the phone. I know this sounds rediculous, but I've ruled out everything else. Ever since I stopped using the case my phone hasn't needed even a soft reset.
Currently I am using this:

But I just heard about this on XDA's site:

has anyone tried this case?

Might be good but how about the keyboard? the description doesn't explain how you might access it?
I think it can not use with tytn
I ordered something similar off of eBay for my 8525... http://search.stores.ebay.com/The-B...sopZ1QQfsubZ17QQftsZ2QQsaselZ50744590QQsofpZ0
For $5 you don't expect great quality, but it was made well enough, snaps into place, and protects the 8525 nicely. I bought the optional belt clip, but probably won't use it much, I fear it won't hold up.
Because they are 2 pieces, and makes it very easy to access the keyboard.
things is, i'm not sure it will fit the tytn, given that the button order on the tytn is wider than the 8525. i'm afraid i wont have access to the dial/end buttons...
Yes
You should read the 'Case Recommendation' thread, this is where this question belongs.
This is a knock off of the merit-line case. Has free shipping same case, but has a 'nub' for a belt holster that isnt very good. I left a lengthy review of my expirience with the case. Its cheap and I wouldnt bother getting it to protect your $500 or so phone! Others had simular expiriences as mine. This case is good if your a 'pocket' type of guy and only put ur fone in ur pocket. For belt and outside holsters. DONT GET IT.

Id recommend b4 you buy anything off ebay to check your device and capability of things. Alot of these cases made in Asia and what not alot of the times NEVER fit your device. Id spend the extra money and get a legit case from:
http://www.boxwave.com/products/activecase/active-case-cingular-8525_2110.htm
or meritline..
http://www.meritline.com/trans-smoke-cover-for-htc-8525.html
To sum up, the cases: The tytn ones and the cingular 8525's have a 1mm difference and they wont fit properly even with tweaking. So pay close attention before you buy.
all of those plastic like cases are the same... also dont be fooled into the "carbon fiber" or "rubber hard case" unless you see a good picture or manufacture all they are are the plastic shells with different colors or texture...
the carbon fiber for example is nothing but painted on... you can see the paint marks inside... the rubber one is the same just with a rubber spray or so... i think this one is more useful... the good news is all the back case for these cases are the same... dont by into hte hype of the boxwave or other **** that charge you 30 bucks for... they are the same the only difference they might have there name stamped its still plastic that snaps in you can see the belt clip on the boxwave and the whole to be exactly the same as all those on ebay for 5 bucks.
I would not trust none of those case on the belt... i only wanted them because of the ability to use the keyboard the screen is not protected but the reste is good for pocket or other storage

looking for the best case

hey guys and dolls, I am on a hunt to find the best case possible. I have a few very important features that must be met, they are:
Protection (obviously, lol)
must be sleek
not to bulky (don't wanna carry a brick in my pocket)
function (heard some cases cover the proximity sensor)
also would like the option of a kickstand (not gonna make or break a buy however).
I have read what several sites claim to be the "best on the market", however I find it really helps to get the input of actual users and not just the company selling the product (who obviously wants all the cash they can squeeze from you).
TIA
there is something called "bodyglove" it has a kickstand too i think. never tested it because its not available in european stores. so i never tested but it looked more than good to me in quality.
additional search for silicon cases - yes they really exist and you can still move your keyboard and its while keyboard is moved out still fully enclosured.
these silicon cases way better most time than these plastic (crystal) whatever cases out of ebay or such (i bought a lot).
the notches break after three times of removing the casecover (for pressing reset button). also its making nasty scratches on your chrome surface when a bit dirt is in between the phone and the case.
so pay for a good leather case (and thats not very handy most the time) or use a sleek silicon case (u never have to think about removing it out of a case for fully using your rhodium) it feels a lot better in hand and stays in place when you put it down on your desk in oyur car or whatever.
thanks buddy. I will for sure look into the silicon cases. my brother actually has the bodyglove for his Hero, but he does nothing but complain about it, lol.
sadly in the US we don't (or at least Sprint don't) get the beautiful Chrome back for the Rhodium. I have the "Millenium Falcon" battery cover. Though I would love to case mod my Rhodium to make it look sleek and slicker.
Thanks again for the words of advice.

silicone case and standard dock

Fellow asteemed geeks,
How snug a fit is the Standard cradle? Will a silicone cover work with one without having to remove it?
If folks do not believe it will work, I'll skip the purchase of the cradle. I want a cover that just stays on 24*7.
regards

Not unless the cover is "wafer-thin" in my experience.
There is an insert that is removable in each of the docks, but it doesn't give you enough room with most covers.
Sorry. I wish they had planned better ... say multiple inserts of differing thicknesses.
You can remove the standard dock insert which will give you room to dock the phone with a case. With the Body Glove Mirage (soft) and Incipio Feather, I can dock the phone without that top plate installed. Downside is that it looks tacky and looks to put a lot of stress on the charging port on the phone since the top plate supports the weight of the phone.
I ended up getting the 'Ruggedized Battery Cover plate' from Motorola. There is a thread around here that details how you can get Motorola to send you one for free, although with the Atrix going EOL, it might not still be available. With this adapter plate you can dock the phone with pretty much any case that is not overly bulky (ie OtterBox Defender). Try searching for the thread on the 'Ruggedized battery cover' to find the exact instructions and part numbers you need.

Aftermarket Battery Door?

Tried searching here but to no avail. Anyone know where I can get custom battery covers for the Note 3? Cost is not too much of an issue but I've been looking for a custom battery cover for my Note 3 as I'm getting really bored of the default faux leather back. If anyone has any ideas where to look please let me know?
Google hasn't really helped much either.
I too would like to know, as some days I want to see my phone w/out my bulky otterbox case on it....BUT....I'm too smart to know that I'll soon drop it due to the slipperiness of this phone!!!!
http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2050601.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.H0.Xnote+3+battery+cove&_nkw=note+3+battery+cover&_sacat=0
Unfortunately there aren't many good custom back covers out there... most have either worse (more slippery) grip, or metal ones that degrade signal reception.
I definitely don't want it in metal, but for the slippery grip, it's not an issue. I'll be using a transparent cover over it anyway!
I saw some on amazon, but they are in pastel colors. just type in Anley note 3
I'd be happy with just a battery cover that eliminated the raised part around the camera. Not sure why they thought the phone resting on that all the time was going to be a good idea. I'm so afraid of scratching it up. I tried a case for a while, which worked great. But the bulk got to me after a while and I removed the case.
Dunno about you but the case I used added more space between the camera and the table top. but was still pretty slim....

I use the wireless charging back cover from Samsung and it is raised over the camera. It adds a bit of weight but I feel like that's how the phone should be and it has a nice leather feel
Cover
The charging cover looks really interesting. Wonder what the battery life is on a wireless charge.
I decided to try one of these from amazon. It's called Bubbleback, lot of different colors. Fits very good, the texture is leather look only, not actual faux leather like original back. It's plastic so it's a bit slippery. I have a clear case so no biggy.
Might consider buying one of those for the next world cup... XD
Samsung actually sells about 20 different coloured backdoors for the Note 3, ranging from metallic look to smooth plastic to matte pastel. Most official Samsung stores (not sales points, the actual Samsung stores. There's one in The Hague, for example) sell them.

I'm selling Samsung Original Wireless charging S Charger Cover for Note 3 . Color black. It is practically unused - I just like the feel of the original cover better. $20 + shipping. PM me if you are interested.
