[Q] PDF Viewer

Does anyone know of a PDF viewer that does the 2 up view? 2 Pages side by side like a book?
I have the same question. Neither Adobe Reader, Documents to Go full version, or Quickoffice will show 2-page view, and to navigate 500-page books to do research I really need that capability. Hopefully someone has an answer!

[Q] Convert PDF to ePub for HTC FLYER eBook reader using Calibre

All -
Trying to convert some PDF to ePub format for HTC flyer so I can use the Pen to take notes. In Calibre, What template should I be using? Is the default ebook reader on flyer the same as Kobo reader? Anyone can share some tips?
Thanks!
Why don't you note, annotate using the Flyer's pdf reader? I find it quite convenient. When official HOneycomb comes I will probably use Repligo draw freehand capability.
Thanks for the message. When you use the PDF reader, it seems the fonts are too small, you have to zoom in/zoom out....true?
Yes, you can zoom in and zoom out. I've found it rather an advantage sometimes. But a BIG plus for the PDF is that you can view your file with comments in any PDF reader, on PC or mobile. I don't know whether we can do it with the ePub Flyer's annotations. In addition, in Flyer's ebook reader I think that you can only annotate/view the annotations at normal zoom level.
Hope it helps.
I just converted a book from pdf using Calibre. I used the default settings in Calibre and converted it to epub format. Worked great and was able to make hand written notes with the HTC Reader.

For advanced Epub stuff files like writing and taking notes into a Epub with a pen (HTC flyer isn’t a touch screen or pen screen or what ever u want to call it write? and that is what u are asking for right?? well what ever floats your boat I guess.) well that kind of stuff can get pretty hairy for a free converter like caliber, the don't do advanced eBook fetchers yet. I would try and use Manuel conversion company they are usually on the cutting edge of what u can do with Epub (im 100% sure if u can take notes into a file Epub or how u would do that or why u would do that) but I’m sure this company (convertabook . com) can help you figure out what u could do and if it is practical and if any one could do a crazy thing like that it would be them just call them

well, I’m using such one useful XFlip pdf to ebook software to convert PDF document files to flip ebook and then read, share and view them on any mobile devices or ebook reader like Kobo reader easily.
Thanks!

Jot note on Powerpoint file?

Cannot believe it does not allow to jot notes with the scribe on the powerpoint file.
I saw someone suggested converting them to PDF file..
is it the only way?
And, which software is good for converting tones of powerpoint file and free, thanks!
Bump.
Any feedback on this? Do any of the office suites on the market allow PowerPoint inking? Or is it necessary to convert to PDF first?
Thanks!
I just use MS office to convert every presentation to a pdf.
On the go I use an android / online service, but they tend to have issues with animations and strange backgrounds.

[Q] Watermarked pdf blocking the content

Hello all, I am trying to read a watermarked pdf which I am perfectly able to read it on my laptop running windows, with the watermark clearly transparent almost to the point of invisible. However it is exactly the opposite on my Samsung 10.1 tablet with the watermark actually so dark that it is actually blocking the content of pdf itself. I am attaching the screenshot.
I have tried Quickoffice Pro HD, Adobe reader, qpdf viewer, apv pdf viewer, and also the in-built ebooks and kindle apps. But I must confess I have only tried the free apps. Can anyone please recommend any other app that may solve this problem and also can handle large pdf files with ease.
Thanks.
PS: Apps on ipad also are able to render this pdf without the watermark blocking any content!
