Volume controll with scroll wheel - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam Software Upgradin

Hello together,
Does anyone know if and how it is possible to controll allways the volume of your complete phone with the scroll wheel?
For example:
When you are playing music with the media player and the player is running in the background. On your display you have another application running like TomTom. Now, if you want to change the volume of the music, you have to take the media player to you display and than you can change the volume with the scroll wheel.
Is it possible, with a register setting e.g., to controll the volume of the music without taking the media player to the display?
Thanks for help.
Greetings Pudl

I'd like to that too. I'm used to be able to do this with my treo 700wx... I'd like my p4000 to do this....

[REQ] Physical buttons to control music player (Sense of TF3D)

Hi there. I'm trying to map the three central hardware keys of my Leo so that I can use to control the Sense music player. Actually, I already use a third-party software to remap my keys, namely AEBPlus (see my thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=603186) but I can also use manual renamed shortcuts (long_send.lnk etc.).
Anyway, all I need is three little .exe files to perform only the three basic actions: play/pause, next track and previous track. This way, I'll be able to reassign physical keys to control the Sense music player.
Can somebody create such mini-applications?
Thanks.

Volume Rocker Controls Music Player

Are there any music players- or applications that modify existing music players- in order to allow the volume rocker to skip forward and back tracks, a la blackberry?
So far, I've only been able to find one that was HTC specific.
Much obliged.

Vibrant Physical keys for music?

On my ipod touch I used "Activator" to remap by home key when it was locked to allow click and hold to pause/play, and doubleclick to skip tracks. Is there any mod for the Vibrant with similar functionality? I saw that Eliot Stocker's MusicMod does this for skipping tracks, but I dont see how to get it to work and id like a play/pause more than anything. The reason I ask is because it is much nicer to switch songs without having to pull the phone out and operate it via the touch screen when you could just tap a button in your pocket
Thanks!
Iv been looking to remap my volume keys like of you hold it instead of tapping to change songs, the reason I wanna do this cause im a motorcycle rider and its hard to take my phone out of my pocket to change songs while im riding.

yeah i know that.
but im saying when im playing a game. say like shadowgun
there is NO notification bar
Depending on the music player, and the headphones, press the headphones button a few times or hold it down.
Or use something like Sensor Music Player.

Some can change the song by pressing and holding the volume buttons. Though I don't know if it works when you're in a game too or only when the screen is off.

Depending on which music player you are using, and whether you use a security screen lock or not, you can just simply lock the screen and turn it back on and:
- if you use the stock music app, there will be controls on the lock screen for you to change tracks or pause
- have screen lock music control widget enabled from the settings of the 3rd party music app you are using (if the app has such feature)
Or you can just press the home button, pull down the notification bar then go back to your game since Android can multitask
yeah that seems to be the only ways!
haha thats not great is it --'
should be something like music controls when you long press home! like music buttons in the multitasking window
Yeah.. but about what others were saying before this, those music apps that have the holding volume buttons to change tracks should work as well when you're listening to music while playing games
eg. of apps like PowerAMP or PlayerPro (which even has a "Shake It" feature)
Maybe there is a music app in de appstore..
That works with the volumebuttons, if you hold it in, they skip to an other song.. I don't know if there is an app such like this, but it might be worth looking for it in the appstore?
volume buttons works only when the screen is off..the only way with the stock player is the multitasking..simply switch between music player and the game
the shake feature isnt that useful i think...
hmm yeah seems like android is lacking in this department! its annoying to swtich out of the game just to change one song
and yeah volume button change doesnt work on screen on!
