After using the phone for tow weeks the dark gray part of the case (midle body) start to foil down like a nail polish and the gray paint is slowly going off revealing a black material. Did any one else have same problem ???? Some solutions ??? I know maybe is not such a big deal the device is a great tool and this is a small meter!! but i was thinking maybe is possible to wash off the painture until the black color of the material!!! any one did this ???

I've seen the same on my 9100, but only on the right-hand side (the one with the camera & voice buttons). I haven't bothered to do anything about it, but I do keep the phone in a leather case, so the flaking shouldn't get much worse.
That the black paint comes off the device is a problem with all Wizards it seems....I have it also and I don't really like it.
Does anybody here know if there are Wizard cases for sale ....anywhere ?
Mine has that problem too...well, i helped a bit so..now it doesn't have any paint on it.

yeah, silly me, i sanded the paint..and then the stupid paint i applied never dried and now it's clean...but it looks HOOORIBLE . Anyway...i think i'll buy a brick wiza with good screen and case

not much use if youve got the silver one though! much as it's usable without the keyboard i think the resale value of the item would be harmed if the keyoard and case didnt match! good find though.
actually it seems they have a silver housing too - with a full keyboard. Shame they dont have a black keyboard, though it is a little pricey for my liking anyway unless your case is totally trashed!

I didn't think you could get cover against cosmetic damage as this doesn't affect the usability of the device.
Silver looks sooooo much worse than black in this device. I wish T-Mobile wouldn't insist on creating and marketing the most unflattering varients of HTC's devices. Look at the Vario ii (TyTn) - pink, black and silver. I was blinded by the specifications when it first came out but subsequently I've come to realise how ****ty it looks. The only thing Orange UK get right in my opinion is that they always seem to release smarter and more professional-looking versions of these handsets.

It's only that expensive because in relation to the sum of all the World's Mobile Phone owners hardly anyone owns an Athena, since its size and expense is generally unappealing. If as many people owned one as own Nokia N95s then cases would be a quarter of the price.
As it stands we pay through the nose for having something most people don't.

The two corners on the top damaged and metal place under the buttons. But the touch screen not!!!

That sucks that you dropped the phone. I have dropped mine twice at home on Hardwood floors and once in the street. The one in the stree was a ig one. Luckily the only damage is to the top left corner. It has a tiny indent. Doesn't bother me much.

I have had mine for a week and dropped it today. I know you pain. Mine is working but got 1cm scratch on screen and a few dents on the corners. The scratch is annoying. I have insurance but I think I will wait until next disaster. This does not help you but atleast your not the only phone dropper

My german Diamond2 (MDA Compact V) has a matt finishing battery cover.
With a brushed alu part, around the cam.

But looks like it does not fit to the original HTC-device.
Btw. the diamond (MDA Compact IV) had a similar back cover. The T-Mobile-version of the HTC devices always had matt covers instead of the shiny finishined.
I read on Engadget that it'd go for around AU$30 if I remember correctly... or maybe it was more...
I want one aswell... The diamond is a perfect device, But the gloss battery cover... It just isn't my thing.
Although on ebay... They DO sell full housings, Which contains a matte battery cover, costs 60€ though
you may keep the back cover and resell the rest to someone who's housing broke.

It says N.B. The product image is for illustration only, not the actual bettery cover. Doesn't say if it is matt or black plastic though.

But all the adverts on ebay(uk), none of them seem to list the memory card cover. I could use my original, but I kinda fancy a change to white! ;-)

Anyone had any luck finding spare G1 memory card covers?
Little surprised no one else is interested in this issue, especially if they fancy changing their housing (for repair/colour change) in the future.
As far as I can see, none of the sellers on ebay include this cover, so don't lose it or wreck it!
I dont think the G1 has enough of a market to mass produce housings, ebay is prob your best bet. You can try contacting HTC and see if they can give you a lead but other than that I think you'll have to look for someone with a bricked phone.
EDIT: Sorry, forgot u were lookin for mem card cover

yah.. no.. you have to send in your phone to them and they paint it or you can get it from them prepainted....

I currently have the white SGS2 which I completely love. I don't like using a case due to the size and so far other than one tiny scratch on the screen I've only ran into one problem. The chrome colored border on the front face of the phone is chipping in all four corners. Wondering if anyone knows and good ways to touch this up? It could be as simple as model paint or something, I don't know. Just wanted to ask any advice you guys would have for a problem like this, want to keep it looking sharp. Any opinions welcome, sorry for the odd question. Thanks!
Probs work out cheaper to buy a new shell then it would to prep, prime and paint.
use a black marker ,it makes the chipped paint hardly visible.i think its the best if u dont use a case ...but still for some protection use a tansparent gel case..ur device is white so its very thin case an ull enjoy ur white color too....
