Soft buttons on my wizard are not working / mixed up / display letters - G4

Recently I am having problems with my phone, and am wondering if it is a software or hardware problem.
I have tried loading the TNT4 rom & WS5SE roms (this is a g4), and there is no change (im on the Tnt4 one now).
The touchscreen works okay, but the soft key buttons do not. The right bottom one is okay, the left one triggers the right one, the send button show the letters "uytga" on the phone screen when i press them, the end button shows "mn" or something, the camera button works perfect, the comm manager button is the same as the voice button (even when i map it with a program it says "button 4").
It even happens on the soft keys on the keyboard when i slide it out.
Also I used Start-sSPL to put the roms on. Is there a way I can get the OEM one back on or fix the button problem?
Any help will be appreciated.

How do I align the screen

This may sound a daft question but the alignment is so far out I cannot select the option from the menu.
Is there anyway to get it to re-align. I've tried a hard reset but can't get it to.
Thanks in advance
Emo
Try this
Press the "action" key then "calendar" button if you can't find the screen alignment function in your start menu. This should bring you to the screen alignment process.
Worked for me during my gsm error... hope it works for you too.

How to Change Key Lock from Holding Down End Key to Camera Button

Ok, so loving my HTC S740 after changing from Qtek 8500. I know to initiate keylock you have to hold down the End Key for 2 seconds, but I am used to just closing my Qtek 8500 after a call to lock it. I also know you can activate auto keylock, but I need to keep my keys open sometimes. I would like to be able to just short press the Camera button to Keylock the phone. I have got as far as remapping the Camera button by changing the shortcut Short_Camera.lnk. Tried it by renaming Internet Explorer shorcut and it works! So far so good. But what shortcut to use or how to setup a shortcut for keyLock to remap to Short_Camera.lnk.
I know this sounds really petty, but can't wait and hold the End Key for 2 seconds every time!
Any help appreciated.
I don't know if it's possible by clean way without installing anything, but I have done this by assigning one harware button to 'turn off display' in AE Button Plus (which also locks keypad)
btw, I really like behaviour of some touchscreen htc devices where is device switched to standby by upper hardware button, and no other button can wake up device. It would be great to set up my S740 this way - anyone know if it is possilbe somehow?

Power button not mapped on RHOD500

Hello, I have just installed the latest NAND rom package (updated on 15-03-13) on my Telus RHOD500 and I'm having troubles with the power button (the button on top of the phone).
It's not mapped to anything once booted to Android. I mean I can access the recovery by pressing the Power button in miniPooploader so I know the key is not broken.
In android, quick pressing does not shut down the screen, long-pressing does no bring up the power menu and to wake the device up I have to use the End key.
A few times between boots when I would quick-press the power key it'll pop up the shutdown menu but now it's not doing anything.
I've installed Android Tuner, ES task manager and SetCPU on second reboot so these are the 2 application I installed that could come into problem before I noticed the problem. Uninstalling them doesn't do any good.
Also, where could I change the physical keyboard keymap? I got the underscore symbol mapped to letter "B" where it should be "P". It's not the only one of course but I don't find this too irritating so it's just a side-question like that.
Anyway thanks in advance!

You have to open the boot.img and edit the keyboard maps inside the ramdisk there to make them stick.
Look around post 47-50 for some ideas on what to edit.

Good luck.

Alright thank you. That will be good for the keyboard issue. Could it also fix the power button issue? Is the mapping of the keyboard is related to the mapping of other buttons?
So where can I find the boot.img file? Thanks!

[Q]Disable Hardware buttons while using software keyboard?

I have to use my phone at work and sometimes it is really unhandy, espacially in landscape mode, to write a message (using SwiftKey). The problem there is that I come in touch of the menu or back button, in fact that I have to "hold it in unnormal postions", to keep it short.
Is there a way to create a script or anything else, to disable the hardware buttons (menu, back) while using the software keyboard and then to activate them again, after fading out of the software keyboard?

[Q] Physical Navigation Buttons STOPPED working

It's been a while since I posted a question about my HOX+ but this is weird.
I was on the phone, after a wet shower (it was an emergency call). My cheeks were a bit wet. Anyway once I finished with the phone call, I tried using my navigation buttons, but none of them would light up/vibrate/ do anything. I couldn't press on the home button, or back, or menu/recents. But the volume and power buttons worked. I went to the Recovery, then went to "Advanced" "Key test" , Pressed volume up and down and it wrote "Key: 114/115" and then I pressed on power button "Key: 116" but pressing on the home button/back/recents buttons doesn't return any response even in recovery. Pressing everywhere on the screen works totally fine too saying "Key: -216545121646" EXCEPT about 1 cm above the physical area.
Since I am on Carbon Rom, I was able to add a navigation bar, but even that doesnt work! I can't press on any buttons in that onscreen navigation bar. But holding it and swiping up reveals the "Ring" .
ROM: CarbonRom 4.4.4
Recovery: CWM Touch
Help?
install a customs aosp style rom (idk i didnt try stock so dont burn me) then add qemu.hw.mainkeys=0, if it doesnt work with your rom, ust check to to see if xtana will work, if not, try an aosp rom
