Blackberry (Again) - JAMin, XDA Neo, S200 ROM Development

Hello outside there
I just want to install the Blackberry software on my Qtek s200. I found many threads about installing, editing and so on. But my problem is that I can't find the HTC64 Extended ROM Tool for editing.
So my question is, can anybody post me the link where to get this tool for editing my .nbf file or (better solution for me) can anyone link me a edited .nbf file for qtek s200 where I can install the blackberry software.
Would be great if anyone can help me ...
Best Regard,
Dominique

XdaII ExtRom Question

Hi,
I want to ask anyone know how to build an Extended Rom for XdaII to Upgrade it's Extended Rom?
My thought is that, we can't modify the extended rom, how's we buid a rom then upgrad the extended rom part? I think it's an alternative way to modify the Extended Rom.
does the "mkrom" can do it?
Since XdaII structure seems different to XdaI
Thanks!
Ciao
I have right now finished to upgrade my XDAII with WM2003SE 2.02, and in order to manage the situation that you have described I have used the program ER2003Edit . I found it very usefoul in order to take an already existent extended rom and replace / add / delete applications inside. Pls don't miss to modify too the config.txt files in order to start automatically the installation of applications files after an hard reset.
To, R0ger.
where to find the ER2003 edit can o post a link here.
thanks in advance.
you know the search function?
you know the wiki pages? Hint: Its one of the "XDA-developer tools".

Rom editor/tool for ipaq 38XX maybe ER2003

Hi all,
I'm not sure this is the good place to ask but let's have a try anyway :
I'm the happy french owner of an ipaq 3870 running WN2003(english) As some of you may know hp/compaq is not selling any french update for 38XX serie ! My plan was to translate a dumped rom .. i look and found ER2003 who seems to be able to view/extract files from .nbf file... I tried but it ask for a password ?! I guess this password was used to encode/lock rom but i was not able to find it.
So my questions are :
Does anybody knows a good tool to manage/help translating this rom ?
Does anybody knows the password for ipaq/38XX serie/3870 with ER2003 ?
Thanks
hi

raw file too rom.exe FR??????
I extracted the ROM one from my Tytn FR and I have upload file RAW. is what a person can do a ROM.exe ftp://xda:[email protected]_ROMs/HTC_TYTN_1.18.256.103_FR_Dumped_ROM.zip
Re: raw file too rom.exe FR??????
It is not possible to convert a dumped ROM to an "exe" upgrade, however you can extract the contents of imgfs:
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Hermes_HowtoExtractImgfs
There's some people researching on the Hermes ROMs, we'll post our progress here and in the wiki, so stay tunned
Vodafone V1605 WWE ROM also just uploaded in RAW format.
WIKI Edited.

Orange M3100 14.123.1.614 dumped ROM uploaded
I haven't combined the 02 raw files as XP puts an EOF marker in the file.

There was another orange dumped rom from 2 days ago, same version in the dumped roms folder. BTW I updated the wiki and put links to both roms, thanks!
How do we actually use the imgfs files? Do we replace them into the ROM and then use that?

nope, you cannot upgrade a rom from a dumped imgfs. In theory, it should be possible to modify the imgfs and create a .nb file which you can replace into a rom, but TyTN uses a new .nbh format which we still don't know how to deal with. So, at the moment this is useless for rom upgrading, but useful for other debugging purposes or if you want to have a copy of all the filesystem...
if anyone is interested on this nbh format I can post some info i've been taking out of hexdump'ing shipped rom upgrades and sniffing usb port during rom upgrade process, but it's still a lot to do and I am not an expert, so any help would be appreciated.
Orange SPV M3100
Does someone have the French ROM for SPV 3100 Orange.
I want to upgrade my TyTn into Orange SPV M3100
Thanks
I dumped my Vodafone UK v1605 2.07.161.1 rom. Should I upload on the ftp or it's no more needed?
I noticed that other dumped are no more on the ftp server.
I thought someone needed it cause it's newer than other Vodafone available on the wiki.
Hi guys,
I reached here via http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Hermes_DumpedRoms
I'm looking for Dumped Roms for my SPV M3100. Under title "DUMPED English ROM from Orange M3100 WWE" the links to two Roms are not there now.
Are these two were removed form ftp?
I need a ROM to get back to Orange Rom (Wm 5 or Wm6.x).
Any help in finding original orange rom would be really appreciated.
Thanks

How to upgrade when no pass.32 match exists

Hi folks,
All I want is a stable O2 XDA Atom Life that doesn't keep crashing. Bought it on ebay and it has: WWE_RC2150507B1 installed, which is one of the first Mobile 6 editions.
I've tried installing several ROM's via the DSUU, but all say Customer or Model ID error. But pasting a different pass.32 file in Windows/Temp has no effect. It makes no sense to me why it isn't accepting the newer WWE_RC2170507B2
Looking at the pass.32 file in a hex editor, it says WWE AL1 Xda Atom O2 Xda Atom Life. If this is what it extracts from the Atom, then it seems like I should have no problem.
Are there any tricks that I can try? Or do I have to get my PhD in hacking, just so I can install an official ROM.
Thanks for any nuggets of advice you can give.

P.S. I doubt I will ever use the radio, so that part makes no difference to me.
Solved by bootloading from MiniSD
Well, I went and got my PhD in hacking anyway and was able to complete the upgrade the same day. Many thanks to awwei for his detailed instructions here on how to modify the flash files and load from MiniSD card: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1287849&postcount=235
Please see my reply to that post with additional comments.

These 2 posts should help you.
This post gives links to needed tools and a "how to" http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2770938&postcount=1
This post has a link to the HTC Dutch ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2763806&postcount=1
Worked for me, if you search you can also find a link to a T-Mobile Dutch ROM in case you need to revert back for warranty purposes.
Hope this helps.

A little tip.
When you have flashed the new ROM the keyboard WnW (web n walk) key will open Internet Explorer.
If you want to use the BrandedBrowser (with the "wilt u online gaan" message) you need to go to the PPC windows directory and copy these files to your PC before flashing:
BrandedBrowser.exe
web'n'walk short cut
wnw short cut
wnw icon
When you have flashed the new Rom copy the files back to your PPC. ADDITIONALLY you will need a registry editor to create 2 new keys:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\PIEPlug]
"WebStub"=dword:00000000
"home"=http://pda.t-mobile.nl"
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\OEM\PIEBrowser]
"Path"="\Windows\BrandedBrowser.exe"
Hope this helps.

khan3.
Feeling generous, heres the reg files you need.
Better still, here's a cab file with the files and registry entries.
