Full Screen Dialpad - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam Software Upgradin

Does anyone know where I can get a full screen dialpad for the 8525? It seems like a big waste of space not to be able to use to full screen for the keypad. I have fat fingers and it would make my life a whole lot easier to dial without having to use the stylus.
Thanks
Patrick

are you talking about something like pocketcm keyboard?

Try leaving your phone at the top of the stairs and then when it rings run up them to answer it, then you wont have such fat fingers, but i bet you live in a house with no stairs lol.

the touch dialpad has pretty big buttons

something like this?

try browse the forum in touchpal or better yet open www.cootek.com

Are you looking for Dialpads or for Keypads? Dialpad are for dialing telephone numbers. Keypads are keyboards for typing messages and such.
Dialpads-Use the search enging (upper right of this page) and type in dialpads. If not on the first page of hits definately on the 2nd or 3rd you should get a lot. There are dialpads from the HTC Touch and Marshall (you can even search his name) has produced quite a few that even include smartdialing.
Keyboards-I recommend searching touchpal or go to PocketCM.com. Tene has developed a lot of large screened ones and there are skins for even larger looks.

[APP] Finger frienldy Tip Calculator

Recently I noticed my wife using a tip calculator on her Samsung Reclaim. I looked around a little and couldn't find one, so I decided it might be fun to write one.
It only works on touch screen phones. You'll find it attached.
Isn't this a Windows Mobile application?
Anyway, good work. But you could remove the buttons for "Due", "Tip %", "Total" left to the numpad and instead use the text above ("Total Due", "Percent to Tip", "Tip Amount", "Total") for their functionality, thus giving the numpad more space.
Interface could use some work... thanks for posting it

Tip Calculator
It needs a split function to be really useful.
I can do what it does using a simple calculator.
This project was something I did while on a short trip and was bored. I know the screen is cheesy, but wasn't really looking to do anything special at the time. I don't see myself putting to much effort into this. Most of my spare time is spent either on CurtainCall or a project I'm just starting call iManage. iManage is a Project list that lets you keep track of projects between your phone, desktop and a central server for multiple managers. Looking forward to starting that one, but most of my time s spent with my family.
As to the split functionality, I thought about adding that, but I hate splitting a check with people. I always get taken advantage of there. By the way a split is easy to do with a calculator too.
Thanks for trying it out.
Some how I get this in the wrong section. Can someone move it to the windows application section?
Sorry for any inconvenience

[APP][2010-02-06]Google Voice Visual Voicemail

I've developed a finger friendly application that allows you to access your Google Voice mailbox right from your handset. Right now, it's pretty simple and just lets you see who called and when and play the voicemail but I'm planning on adding more features such as starring, marking items as read, and transcriptions pretty soon (right now it is 'read only' per say).

Under the white boxes is people's names. It cross references the phone numbers with those in your address book to display by name instead of just the phone numbers. Some caveats/requirements... it utilizes the Silvermoon project for the GUI and therefore requires OpenGL support. It will "work" without OpenGL however it will be rather slow. Also, it saves the configuration and voicemails to \Storage Card\GoogleVoice so it requires a storage card to be present.

Let me know what you think and what sort of features you'd like to see as well as any bugs.
Looks nice. Thanks!
Awesome Thanks!!
It's work just a bit slow
This is a great app, hope RustyGrom can improve the performance of it. Thanks!
I am running this on my Touch Pro2.. Works pretty good. Still some issues with the screens, but over all a great app. If I can help beta test I would love to help.
And thank you very much for your hard work.
This is almost exactly what I've been looking for... however, on my TP2, all I get is a black screen with the soft buttons on the bottom.
Have you ever used Skype for Windows Mobile? Their mobile visual vm inbox is EXACTLY what I want to do with GV... But if I could get this app to work, it would be start...

PHOTON Text Selection for all devices

Hi guys
PS It causes EzInput to go to numeric keypad mode when writing SMS in tmail. Dont know how to fix ((
I would like to share my recent finding.
As you can see from screenshots below i have working HTC Photon (HD Mini) Text Selection on my device. It is a CutCopyPaste functionality from HTC. The most incredible thing is that my device is not a htc device. I have HP Ipaq 614c (QVGA). So i think, if it works for me, should work for all devices.

The only one thing which i dont understand. Why grafics is so bad? I found from web screenshot how it should looks like and it has much better grafics. So i ask a question for more advanced people, which HTC dll library related for grafics?
Cab is attached. Free to try and comment.
And i am not sure about all dependencies. For example, HTCScroll, HTCFramework and HTCShared already included in my device. And i have Manila2D v2.0
I always use ctrl-c/x/v on soft keypad to copy/cut/paste. Will give this a try.
is it possible the use the photon text selection o other place such as Word or note?
No, as i understand only in SMS and Email
Guys, i figured out something more. See screenshot. But this time without selectors.
The selectors are pretty neat, but I definitely like the cleaner look of the text more than the fuzzy icons. Any chance of uploading that second version? Thanks.

[Q] Swype is acting up, can you recommend a keyboard with an apostophe?

I like Swype, but I don't use the swyping feature which sometimes gets in the way if I'm typing quickly with my thumbs. Also, there's a black bar above the keyboard. Permanently. I have word suggestions off, but that still shows, and any new word I type it says "Add xxx to dictionary?". I don't want any of that.

I need a keyboard which has an apostrophe above the . button, so you can hit shift then . to make a ' - I cant do without them and dont want to type like this.
I've tried a lot on Play store but none of them have an apostrophe accessible by touching shift. Any ideas?
Thank you.

Google Chrome - Keyboard not appearing on Xperia Mini Pro / Pro

It looks like Google is ignoring a major bug with Chrome for Android.
Quoting the bugs:
- On phones/tablets that have a physical keyboard like our Xperia Pro do not get the option for a soft, on-screen keyboard when tapping a text field.
- When using the physical keyboard, the option to press 'shift' and 'alt' once or twice to get a capital letter (and caps lock) or numbers/symbols respectively is not available; you are being forced to hold either shift or alt if you want a capital letter or a number/symbol.
- If a text field can only input numbers, like a PIN code, Chrome does not default to numerical input from the physical keyboard, instead allowing any form of input.
- You cannot start typing from the page to enter a new url/search. So for example, I'm browsing and I want to search for 'youtube'. I cannot simple start typing this, instead I have to click the address bar, wait while it adjusts and then I can start typing. Not a big deal at first, but gets really annoying over time.

Please go to the bug thread on Google here:
https://productforums.google.com/d/msg/chrome/lfOtoDf4G2o/4lt0z6gvU8oJ
And click "ME TOO!", let's push Google to fix this bug. I still don't know how they can label a product out of beta with this kind of bug.
Hehe you quoted me.
But yeah, Chrome cannot be 'out of beta' with this kind of flaw!
Guys, this bug has been finally fixed
Thanks Google!
