why change ROM on tilt to HTC? - Mogul, XV6800 ROM Development

I have a unlocked Tilt, why would I want to change ROMs to the HTC model? Are there some programs that will only run on the HTC rom? So far for what limited use I used the Tilt, it seems ok except I cant seem to use the built-in IM messenger from att on a tmobile band.

[Q] One X+ on TMobile

I've done a lot of searching and I can't find any info if the HTC One X+ (ATT) will work fully on TMobiles network. I would like to get this phone but want to know if the radio's will work.
In a word, no.
No HSPA+ support for AWS.
The first pictures of the HOX+ that came out had T-Mobile branding on them and there's been some talk that it might end up there eventually also so I wouldn't loose all help yet. You just may be waiting for T-Mo to bring out their version for a bit longer.

[Q] Rogers HTC One same as AT&T?

Hey guys, i got the HTC One today ^^ and i'm not sure if its the same as the AT&T version. I had the One XL that same identical to the AT&T version but it said in the forum name too, and here is nothing. So will the mods and roms work the same on my rogers htc one? i dont wanna screw up this beauty in my hand yet
Yes also same as international. All roms are interchangeable.
cool, nice to know that. I am on Rogers HTC One & I was wondering which one to select, when I was trying to flash the Android Revolution 7.1. There was 3 options popping up, At&t, International or T-mobile. The Rogers was in the same group as AT&T in AR7.0, but not anymore in 7.1
thanks!!!:good:

[Q] Use AT&T htc one x + unlocked in T-Mobile

I have an AT&T unlocked htc one x+ that i want to use with prepaid T-Mobile sim card, do i need to change the original AT&T Rom that comes with my phone to be able to use it with T-Mobile or i need to change only the APN settings ?
In case that i need to change the Rom which one do you recommend for T-Mobile to use LTE speeds ?

[Q] AT&T Rom for Factory Unlocked Device

I had AT&T Unlock this handset since I have T-Mobile.
I don't believe T-Mobile's LTE will work on this device regardless of what I end up doing, so I'll be willing to live without that.
So will I be able to flash any of the international roms knowing that I won't have LTE Capabilities?
Or am I still forced to flash roms for the AT&T hardware?
AT&T version uses diffrent radio H/W and kernel, so you can't use international roms..

Oh...
Well thanks.
It's a little difficult looking for decent roms for my version, but I'll manage.

Does GSM Work As Well As Any Other GSM Phone?

Hey folks,
I have someone interested in buying my phone. They're on AT&T though (I'm on Verizon). I'm rooted with a custom rom, so I told them it works on AT&T, since I know you can load GSM radios and stuff. I just want to make sure I'm not lying or stretching the truth. Is there any limitations to the GSM? Is it missing any AT&T bands that most AT&T phones come with? Is it slower or have lower call quality or anything like that? Anything I should forewarn them about?
Thanks!!!!
I am using my DNA on AT&T. Everything works just fine. I don't know what Rom you have flashed but some of us GSM guys have or had problems with mms. Sometimes the way to fix it is to install a 3rd party text program. Also, we can't get LTE since the DNA doesn't support AT&T's LTE bands but it does get 3G just fine.
