My phone is I-mate k-jam (kind of G4).I unlocked my phone’s CID by hard SPL program from your website . I could not install phone’s original rom. Then I installed original rom by shelltools program. My phone is not operated after hard resetting. When I switch on my phone, it stopped in three-colored page. Please be kind enough to conduct me.
You need to remove the hard spl in order to go back to the original rom

What is the SPL version?
Invalid Vendor ID means it's not CID unlocked..
So you need the original i-mate ROM obviously. Not the HTC/Qtek ROM..
BTW.: Soft SPL doesn't work in bootloader, it needs WM 5/6 in order to load the Soft SPL.
Connect USB cable, kill wscecomm.exe (in PC's taskmanager) and start the RUU.
Forget the warning the Ruu tells you about having an active activesync connection. Flash the original iMate ROM.

You haven't got Hard SPL.
So only way to flash is original ROM (in original Language it came with).

I explain my problem more accurat. I downloaded Soft SPL accompanied by Vodafone Qtek 9100 G4 IPl&SPL.zip after reading topic of How To Remove HardSPL and according teaching I transferred nk.nbf file from Vodafone Qtek 9100 G4 IPl&SPL.zip file to Soft SPL file .Then I wanted to perform Start-sSPL.exe file but I could not perform. Then I found Soft SPL is not operated in Bootloader.Then I performed 2.exe (ROMUpdateUtility MFC Application) file in Soft SPL file accidentally. I thought it is being installed. After accomplishment I found my phone’s spl has turned from olip to 2.17.0001.So I wanted to install original ram but I couldn’t install. It is installed wm6 on my phone completely now but it is stopped in spl page. I think I could not remove my phone’s hard spl completely. Please be kind enough to help me.

I have O2 xda mini s G4, I have used the hard_spl_G4 and shell_tools to unlocked my device.but all roms give error 300 except love 2.26.10.2 can be installed and no wm6 roms.please if any one have an idea comment it or any one who had this problem and solved it.

If you have applyed the HardSPL successfully, then you can flash any rom without IPL/SPL using RUU_NoID.
I applied hard_spl successfully and spl changed into 1.21.olip .and when I try to upgrade wm6 roms (tnt 4.0) gives me error 300.

Please use the Mun's RUU as posted in the TS of the Hard SPL.
if u have G4 decice it should be 2.21.Olip after hardspl...when error 300 is occured propably you have opened com1 port on your pc and it makes the connection fail...try to reeboot your pc and then try to reflash

Here is solution for upgrade on Wizard G4 models !!!!
I have found that with RUU MUN.zip utility it works
and all must done on root disk (C:\...)
I tried the following steps on my O2 Xda Mini S and after rebooting it doesn't show the SPL is 2.21.olip. It just show the original version.
Any help out there?
-connect your device
-Start hard_SPL-G4.exe
-Push the "Check DOC" button
-> The tool now checks whether your device is truly a G4, if not, it will give you an error and stops.
-> after this a dos box pops up, and it loads the softSPL to your device, to enable hard-SPL flashing.
-> then a Rom Update Utility will start, ONLY proceed if your screen is white!
-Proceed with the upgrade, it will only take a minute.
After reboot the IPL version is : 2.21.0001 and the SPL is 2.21.olip

What is your current ROM, IPL/SPL?
Have you tried another USB port, or even another computer?
try to ugrade other rom (try the new TNT )version but take care ROM must be without ipl and spl !!!

don't forget to use MUN's RUU
make the update on yours root drive !!! C:/ !!! i mean the update and ROM files must be on it !!!
Let the proccess going to the end and if it stops at 99% don't panic

Rom version is still the one that came with it from O2.

i was upgrading it using the telstra WM6 rom.
during the upgrade it was around 15% that the upgrade utility show the error that device cannot connect.
my device is bricked now
IT is not KITL enabled
it the first splash screen it shows no gsm
it only shows the bootloader menu

i read the wiki on how to unbrick a bricked hermes but there is no sulotion

Did you also read the wiki to see how to install hardspl to protect your device BEFORE flashing ?(here: http://www.mrvanx.org/cms/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=30&Itemid=27 )? Are you using Olipro hardspl?
Try to use the SDCARD method (Format a sdcard in FAT32. Copy the nbh file on it and rename it HERMIMG.NBH. Insert the card and HR : OK/POWER/Soft reset. Follow the instructions)

1. get out SIM and SD card

2. Make BL mode on Hermes
2a on PC ActiveSync - coonection properties untick allow to connect by USB
3. start mtty on PC , choose USB and enter.
4. next enter.
5. type set 14 and enter
6. type task 8 and enter
OS have to boot if no go to 7
7. enter
8 type set 16 and enter
9. type task 8 and enter
Hope that will boot

Pretty much all the info on unbricking is in this table by Pof. If this doesn't sort you out then you're have to send it off to imeicheck etc for repair.

I have bricked my jasjam while updating to telstra wm6
I have not super CID my device before upgrading to telstra wm6
Now my device freezed at second splash screen

NO GSM
when i used the info 6 command on mtty it says NO CID
i can not upgrade my device from SD CARD (memory stick)
i used these command on MTTY.exe but no improvement

when i tried to rom upgrade using any ruu (ruuwraper,.....) it only shows 1% and my device reboots and ....
any suggestions????
I hope you understand this, Basically if
1. You have a "No GSM"
2. Your CID is corrupted
3. Your OS has no KITL mode
4. You didn't use HARDSPL...
Then your phone is screwed, and you need to buy a new one or send it to repair.
Hope you have better luck with your next phone. (you seem to be collecting bricked phones!)

try to send to repair centre, if repair cost is too much. Than u have to decide try but new gadget. Kaiser looks flirt to me

The offical I-mate telstra Jasjam rom for WM6 came out recently previous to that i just kept the original WM5 rom that it came with much to the dismay of my peers, actually considered it a few times but decided against it till the official rom came out.
yeah if you follow the instructions for the WM6 rom you use it should be ok however the "Murphys law" of programming tends to suggest there will always be an error that they dont allow for.

This has NOTHING to do with only using official Roms! One has pretty much the same chance of bricking their phone evening using an official WM6 as a cooked variant from Schaps et al..
Simply put if you don't use HardSPL then you're asking for trouble no matter what the ROM. You should also use the MicroSD wherever possible as it is much more reliable.

In the past I have installed a WM6 rom without having first installed on my Jamin the HardSpl G3, and accordingly pda I crashed ...
I followed the steps outlined here:

I have tried in every way but since I can not install on HardSPL G3 pda I decided to return to the original rom Imate Jamin WM5...
I was now trying to reinstall the original rom on my jamin, the
JAMin_ITA_2130921_21939111_02.07.20_ship.exe
But the pda connected to the computer, with the starting procedure, the pda comes into bootloader tricolor with the following words:
IPL 2.20
SPL 2.20
RUU
USB
but after a few seconds on the computer appears the follow message:
ERROR [296] UPGRADE ONLY
This NBF file cannot be used for your pda phone, please get newer NBF file
Some of you know what it is and how can I do to reinstall the original rom?

You must
1/The battery up 50
2/ Install Prophet_PV_Temp rom into bootloader
3/Install HardSpl G3
Finally Install the original rom>>>

the phone refuses to "upgrade" to a lower version if it is not hardspl.
The original bootloader only accepts upgrades not downgrades.

How do I update hardSPL to a new version? i currently have 1.16 and want to upgrade too 1.22
i tried using somthing called uspl but that didnt help it still says SPL 1.16 Hard on the bootloader

That's not really difficult : just flash th 1.22 the same way you flashed the old one !
Launch the SSPL on your phone : you'll have the tricolor screen.
Plug it using your USB cable, and launch the RUU with the harsSPL NBH.

I have been rying to change it but it still shows:
NIKI100 MFG
SPL-1.15.Hard
CPLD-4
The "sspl-1.16-nike.exe" (the kemit icon, when on the phone) must be on the phone and executed from the phone itself (gives the tri-color screen). after that you can start the 1.22 exe from your PC and flash the spl as described.
Don't forget to backup first, remove storagecard and SIM before doing all this.
