I buyed a Qtek S200 from ebay that have G4 and Windows Mobile 5 in spanish.
I want to upgrade to windows mobile 6 in english or portuguese, but i have some doubts.
I read some of the posts and i get almost all,but i didn't understand if i have to have CID unlock to upgrade.
I read too that G4 is for now impossible to unlock CID on Prophet , but in other models it is already possible to do this.
So i wanna know if it's possible to upgrade this phone to WM 6 and what roms should i use if i wanna WM6 in english or in portuguese.

CID unlock is not required to use WM6 cooked ROMs, as of today I'm using Crystal V3 on my CID locket S200.
As for replacing shipped ROMs from a language/operator to another one will probably require CID unlock. But I think that you can use a "step1" ROM for that (i'm not totally sure on this one thus). It should work even on G4.

I,m looking for a "step by step" procedure in the posts but i have not found it.
Someone can tell me how can found it or tell me how to do.
I have a low experience in manage Pda and tecnologies.

Is your device CID unlocked? If not you should start there, it costs money since you have a G4 but will be worth it in the end because being CID unlocked removes lots of hassles.
Just make sure when you start flashing roms that they DO NOT include bootloaders (IPL/SPL) or you will ruin your phone.
Hello to all!
Being fan of HTC phones for more that 3 years, many and many times I've asked guru's how to unlock different models.
But today i got a Touch Dual, PTG, sim locked to TMN PT.
Spent all the day on the Niki's forum in hope to find solution for SIMunlocking - but nothing.
Finally I managed to install USPL and after, to flash it with an WWE Shiped ROM from HTCASIA. but WTF... phone is still locked.
Well, here I realized an old method I used to trick Nokia Locked Phones by Using MULTISIM Cards.
I still have my MultiSimCard(programmed with SimEmu6.1) with 2 numbers on it, my work number and personal one.
The trick I did - I programmed another number on my MultiSimCard as it is an TMN card with an corect IMSI and any Ki code.
Inserted the card into Niki and started fine with that TMN number. After that - from SimEmu program I switched to my Work number wich is from another country and another network, and "voila" - touch didn't ****ed me off, nor rejected my card, but started to get signal from my network operator.
I'm a lucky - 'cause I cloned my simcard's when they was COMP128v1 and didn't change my SIMs from that time.
But I guess this trick can be realized by using some adapters for DualSim.
Yeah.. better to have a phonebased solution, but until our guru's will provide us that solution, feel free to use this workaround.

Don't worry about it; having now solved how to make a patched AMSS boot, I can now provide an unlock for any device I like, so just hang tight, I was planning to do this device next anyway

Im trying to update my Qtek 9090 to WM6 and I cannot find any step-by-step manual... all solutions are risky and I don't want to burn out my Blue Angel. Can any one tell me out to do it?

actually it's not even research any more; all I have to do is change step 1 to flash a Nike Hard-SPL, tweak a few other things and the thing is basically ready to release.

first you have to know if is G3 or G4, then if you want to unlock SIM or not
once you know if G3 or G4 read the threads on HOW TO UNLOCK.
Then choose the ROM you like and flash the phone, thats it.

ok so i have a G4 wizzard 8125, i know its G4 from reading the threads, now im sure i read somewhere its safer to softreset locked G4, i dont think i want to unlock it so soft reset is my way to go right?

Not softreset. Softspl!
Since there are 95% no official ROMs found on the net so go for hardspl
Reason why not to use softspl : If you flash a ROM using softspl and the ROM was bad or something went wrong and the device got sucked at bootloader ( 3 colored screen or the rgb colored screen ), you must find a official ROM ( Must match your device brand. i.e you can only use qtek official rom for qtek device ); flash and make your device working. ( I guess, wizard love can replace official rom to flash and make the device working but I'm NOT SURE! )
So I suggest you to make your device hardspl inwhich if your device got suck at bootloader, you can easily flash different ( Custom ) ROM ( From bootloader using ruu ) instead official ones.

I strongly suggest you to read the manuals to unlock the device ...
than if you have deceided, make the HARDSPL that way you will be able to flash until you find the ROM fitting ur needs.
Just look in the forum there are many many ROMS, the newest are made by Cracing, Hammer, Hasseeb (if i forgot some other masters in the cooking way forgive me)

Te recomiendo que uses el Hard Spl por que asi es mucho mas facil el flashear una y otra vez, hastqe que encuentres la ROM que se ajuste mas a tus necesidades o simplemente te guste mas, hay muchas ROMS aca, sin embargo las mas nuevoas son las que hacen CRacing, Hammer, Hasseeb (si hay otors ases en la preparacion de estas ROMS y me olvide de mencionarlos les pido disculpas)
