??? Nokmote/Wiimote in ATOM ??? - iPAQ rw6828, XDA Atom ROM Development

http://www.bysamir.fr/nokmote/
http://dailymotion.alice.it/video/x3f4o8_nokmote_tech
how is it possible? can it b made for atom?

I doubt if its only software based.. N95 must have some hardware that senses movement..and the devleoper most have modded the N95 config..to execute the functions

previous firmwares of n95 did NOT hav this.... only the latest f/w has introduced this feature.... if it was hardware, y wouldnt nokia not enable this from the beginning?
so it made me think tat mayb its somthin diff.... may b its being done thru the camera?
previously we hav seen motion-sensitive shooting games based on camera,,, may b this is another advanced implementation of the same technique? not possible?

Not Possible ..it has to be an hardware.
Google it :-
From another forum
"It enables receiving raw accelerometer data from the phone's inbuilt tri-axis accelerometer."
"The point is that the N95 has had an accelerator from the start, to tag pictures with the orientation they were taken with. Now this sensor has just been used with that app...why Nokia didn't implement such a function itself after the iPhone will remain a mystery I guess."

Looking for Athena's HTC camera upgrade for example to 5.04 from Kaiser

Hello all. Has anybody checked Kaiser's HTC 5.04 Camera soft on Athena?? Is it working good - and in RealVGA mode?????? I am looking for a new version in cab file of Athena's camera software. Pictures compared to these from Nokia or Sony ericsson are terrible
Please help - maybe it schould be ATI Graphic Processor Driver updated too -any cab that can do that?????
And I am looking for QiuckGPS screen cab for Athena that can every icon good in RealVGA (640x480) mode show - icons are messed up
Thanks for Help
I'm betting the mediocre picture quality is due to the hardware, not the camera software. All the software does is read the CCD and convert the raw data into a JPEG. Speaking of that - does the kaiser's camera software allow non-JPEG formats? The graphic processor is for screen output, not CCD processing.
QuickGPS does get messed up with RealVGA in the higher resolutions, but its a non-issue since you can just set it up in 192, then forget it. I haven't touched it in months, except to verify once in a while that it has a good data set. I can still read the expiration countdown and date in 96 dpi.
ok I understand, I just want to do tha same what Sony Eriscsso do - software upgrade and thanks to that better picture quality and faster focus and new functionalities. And here Members are saying that HTC camera 5.04 soft improves quality ... But there is no such soft in.cab files for Athena Maybe anybody has tried that soft for Kaiser on Athena?
And you are right, I recognize also icons in QuickGPS but sometimes people want to have everything buetiful
But thanks for quick reply
Hi
I used to have a HTC Tytn II, and I upgraded the camera software. I thought that I got better pictures after/with the upgrade. I have tried this upgrade on my x7500 but it didn´t worked. So is there any camera upgrade for the
X7500 I would try it.
Hans
Well thats not good information But If somebody undertakes making such a thing (I mean soft in cab file that works in RealVGA mode too) for Athena, I will donate him - or maybe one schuld force HTC to do something in this case?
And I need also this soft to make in RealVGA mode viewable:
http://rapidshare.com/files/122342108/Marchevka_mwriter_Lite_polish_keyboard.rar.html
Gestures are ok but keyboard turns up as its left upper corner - but on place original english Keyboard. I can see it probably as if it in QVGA mode were (maybe space for Keyboard on the screen is not the same in QVGA mode and VGA mode - is smaller in VGA mode but the Keys turn up to big for VGAmode's space)
And I will donate it too
I think your best bet for a camera software upgrade should be from the X7510. It should be out by next month. On The Go Solutions have it listed on June 19 as being in stock.
...
Ok I will Wait then
If that can support you
you are not the only to wait for this kind of update
;-)
(sorry for my english, french people are not the best for english)
nay news on the camera software for the Athena?

open neotouch drivers

Hi all !
I'm opening this new thread because I really would like to know if someone has tried to open the neotouch driver. We will be able to do a lot of things, like improved photo quality by decresing the compress ratio ( just 900 kb for a 5 mpx camera is incredible low ! ), increase volume ecc..
So if you have something to say write here !
The only thing I can do is applaud the initiative !
Good luck!
A good idea, I think if we can, S200 will be even more exciting
I support this thread too, it would be nice to improve the compress ratio, and maybe to look at the video driver (which is almost the same than the hd2) to implement the htc youtube app !
mhm arto, have you even try to do that ?
As far as I know open driver is not easy and I really don't know how to do that, but I know that people has manege to open driver of many windows mobile devices ...so it's not impossible...
If we open driver we would also be able to make footprints and audio booster works maybe !

I thought about the video driver for decoding videos, not the 3d driver
arto is there a working youtube apps that work with neotouch ? the are all stacked bu our drivers ?

all cab and youtube packages I tried hang when navigate trough the video, thats the only problem with youtube and its because of VdecCore.dll and VdecTransformFilter.dll.
but if some one has a working htc youtube app it would be coool to show it to us !
Easier said then done xD, your better of trying to port the htc leo camera app, instead of recompiling the driver, but in the other hand porting the leo camera app wont be an easy task lots of recompiling and perhaps backwards engineering will be needed to do so ><
mhm but by porting htc leo camera app we will only made work only footprints and maybe youtube..open the driver will make us do a lot of thing..but obviusly I don't know which of the 2 thing is easier...rafy what do you say ?
I don't understand why do you want to dump crappy htc codecs instead of trying to adapt it to acer hw decoders...
becase we don't know how to open acer drivers...by the way maybe DMice can help us !
If you explain me what do you mean by 'open drivers', maybe it'd be a little bit clearer for me what do you want..
I mean modified them...as for now we can only take as they are ...
I really want to see HD recording on my Acer ,more powerfull LED light, thats all
About camera - Without considering that porting camera is nigh impossible, it wouldn't improve much if somebody did it because of hw - sensors, radio rom etc... And I wouldn't complain that some OEM apps from HTC don't work on neoTouch - it's not a HTC after all, remember this guys...
qsd8x50b is not capable of hd recording, don't believe this donate-collectors

[Q] Secondary Front Facing VGA Camera Not working due to trying to get FM radio!

This is my first Android phone. I'm fairly new to the Android platform. It worked fine including the secondary camera. Then I found out it did not include the FM Radio w/RDS which I read in the specifications somewhere that it did have it. Well I downloaded and tried fmradio.apk and the connected music player radio app on this forum and plugged in the headset. The program was trying to launch, then pressed the back button and just had the radio screen. It did not function so then I deleted the programs. Now my secondary camera does not work. Is it because of the radio was trying to launch. I think it configured a file to make the secondary camera null or void. Anyway I'm trying to get the camera back the way it was so it will work again.
Well have you try factory reset?
When exactly did the secondary camera work in the first place? As far as I know, no big video-calling companies are supporting it.

Qik does.
I haven't looked at it, but I wonder. Did Google just not implement a FFC API? It's weird that it doesn't "just work". Qik needs a special Atrix app for it
There is a Qik for Atrix app. And also in the camera app, you can switch to using the front camera........
Yes I downloaded Qik and still nothing. Also a factory reset.
Secondary Camera
Ok now that I think about it the secondary camera was never on, it must of been the reflection on the glass. The main concern was with the radio, just have to wait until the next updates roll out.

[Q] Camera RAW image capture?

Looking for a RAW capture with Android camera.
I am trying with Xperia X10 camera to capture RAW image, now it has got Android 2.3.3 and APIs are available.
Couldn't get it though.... Can anybody shed a light on it?
Also, is there any API or lib or .so which I can play around... I promise I will share all my knowledge here
Thanks in advance.
I second this request I would also like to shoot raw photos on my droid. I dont like JPG its an awful format.
I think it is related to camera hardware and not software. As I know, only one windows mobile phone from HTC can shoot and save as raw.
If you want to have a better quality, you can increase the image quality or just keep it as 100% original in media_profile.xml
Accidentally sent from my Nexus S using XDA Premium App
Its likely a low level driver thing. Which like modems, the manufacturers don't release the source for.
+1 on this.
shooting raw will be a super feature for photography savvy users.
especially that almost all in-phone processings are extremely suck.
Raw capture is availible on micromax a90s android 4.2.2 in engineering mode
Has there been any update on this. I see heaps of articles of google announcing this but thought itd be out now.

As far as i know, only android lolipop has the ability to capture raw images. You have to upgrade to android 5.0 to capture raw image from your phone's camera. Its android Lcamera. It is an experimental app and will work fine if the hardware of our camera supports all the functions of camera.

Is it possible to have a virtual camera in android?

Just Like obs-virtual camera in windows.
I heard sharing audio input via multiple apps is possible.
I know 2 apps cannot directly use camera simultaneously.
Can an A app that is using camera send the video stream being taken to another camera app( i”ll call it B)??
So when user click that B camera app, video being taken by A app shows up and it seems like B is using camera but actually B is just showing the video that A app is taking that moment.
And in this case when i click recording button in B app, recording will the video be recorded?
I wonder it could possible if i build both a and b apps by myself.
If android doesn’t allow it.. What if the phone is rooted or using custom ROM?
as far as i know, there are linux and windows custom rom that are not based on android source .
And of course , these ROMs can be installed and run in android phones.
There are apps that helps to live stream on multiple platforms at sametime from phone.ex) streamlabs Does this imply the answer to my question is yes..?
