[APP] WirelessToggle - Simple Wifi on/off - Windows Mobile Apps and Games

About
If you need turn on WiFi, you have to press at least 4 keys by default to start WiFi (using Comm Manager).
After installation of WirelessToggle, just press and hold Comm Manager button to toggle Wifi (on/off). (Alternatively you can use attached exe and assign WirelessToggle to any button / shortcut you want to).
And as always: There are few more programs that can be used for faster turning on/off WiFi but this keeps the RAM free as much as possible.
Installation:
WirelessToggle.cab - just install
Run WirelessToggle.exe (from \Program Files\smartmadsoft\WirelessToggle) manually (just once) before using the shortcut (otherwise you wont be able to confirm dialog window asking you about running unsigned code)
Download:
WirelessToggle.zip (4 kB)
Support:
Tested only on S730 but it should work on other devices as well (will test it later).

i have been searching for a program like this for weeks now, thanks!

Works fine on my SE X1 with rom Jack V5 full (WM 6.5)

BT headsets and screen with xdaiiI

I have just got an XDAIIi and have tried both of my bluetooth headsets with it.
The Jabra 250 works but is inconsistent with it's pickup of the call. It sometimes takes 2 presses of the button to answer.
This could create the problem of dropping the call with the 2nd press if you've got the call but think you haven't.
The Motorola HS801 however works fine every time.
Point of interest... it appears to suffer from the yellow screen when viewed from an angle but it doesn't present a problem for me as I usually look at it head on.
The screen is certainly much brighter than the old XDAII I have.
It's a great machine marred only by the clunkey O2 active interface.
However I don't intend to mess with it yet and remove it.
Xda IIi Extended ROM
Bro anyway to extract the Extended ROM from your Xda IIi please?
TIA.
I have tried the unlock tools that worked on my XDA2s for unlocking and unhiding the extended rom, but they dont work on my XDA2s. i did not get ant errors, but it did not show up.
the screen on my XDA2i is good same as original XDA2, far better than the orange tint on the 2s screen
John
I'l try and extract ExtRom when I get some time ....
I have temporarily solved the active interface issue by removing it from the startup folder and speed increase is incredible...

camera_detect
CheckAutoRun

Blue tooth tools

:?: Can someone point me to the location of the download of the blue tooth tools file please ...ive looked for ages with no joy
Here it is.

And heres the cab file, just copy to your phone and execute there.
Anyone tried BT Tools 1.1 on WM2005 ?
You don't need BT tool on WM2005. He has better BT manager and you can you it instead of BT tools.
Rico
I've tried it on Buzz's 1.6 version of wm5 (Himalaya) and before I upgraded my radio ROM from 1.14 BT Tools loaded and worked as per the old version (like a charm). While it may not be necessary owing to certain improvements in wm5 it still had features I liked (BT auto power off when idle for 60s).
Once I've upgraded to 1.17 it loads but nolonger appear on the today screen. Then when I bond with a new device I get the BT Tools profiles screen. I have then been able to use the Activesync profile to sync with Outlook 2002 on my PC via BT. I can't however access the two power/light profiles nor the BT auto shut off feature (I really liked that function for power saving) or at least not yet.
I'm going to try Radio ROM 1.08 and 1.18 as per suggestions in other forums (as I'm hanging when I now sync using the cradle) and will let you know if anything changes.
Regards - Mallow1
NB I'm using Version 1.1.0.0 of BT Tools not 1.0.1.2 (the one downloadable above). See the actual site for details of the differences:-
http://bluetooth.i-networx.de/index_e.html
Upgraded to Radio ROM 1.18, BT Tools now appears again in the Today Screen but is completely inert re autoshut off (the only feature I'm now interested in given the ROM enhancements). So I'm unloading it and will serach for another BT manager with the same auto BT on/off feature.
Hope that was of use.
Mallow1
PS didn't try 1.08
I'm gald that you got the BT Tools to work for you. When I upgraded to WM2003 se and tried to set up my Jabra BT200A back up, it was no go. I could hear the caller, but the headset mic was non working, only the mic on the device. So I tried the BT Tools, to no avail.
The proverbial cake icing was that BT Tools made the device speaker phone quick working as well. Un-install BT Tools, and I get the speakerphone back, but still woe is me, no practical functionality out my trusty Jabra.
Any thoughts?
BTH tools 1.0.1.2 run just fine under WM 5.0 ROM 1.60c.
Especially ActiveSync via BT with several other computers works like a charm.
BTH tools 1.1.0.0 do not function correctly. Both profiles do exactly the same, either auto-switch or not and ActiveSync over BT does not work properly.
Sascha
Thanks SaBo,
I'll give it a whirl as it would be nice to have the auto BT on/off back again.
Chelms,
I trust SaBo's comments work 4u too. If not the only thing I can suggest (not being a jabra200 user myself) is to surf the forums. I know a lot has been written about getting the jabra BT800 working properly with HTC kit (Jabra state that it isn't compatable but I think the BA forum have been chasing it as a bit of a Holy Grail). I can't recall if they definitievly got there but I think they did. You may find something on your headset too. You can also try Buzz's forums on a similar search since he has been the one to work WM5 magic (http://buzzdev.net/). Further afield you might try Howard's Forum (http://www.howardforums.com/)
Regards - Mallow1
For all those still using Pocket Bluetooth Tools in WM5 (not for its BT profiles as they aren't needed any more but for the functionality of BT auto on/off and the two power/ screen saver profiles via the Today screen) FYI I'm currently running TofClock WM5 1.71a (working like a charm) and BTHTools 1.1.0.0 (which is also working like a charm.... NB the cab version as oddly enough I couldn't get the PC exe version to work). Just ensure that after installation your registry has theses settings entered under:-
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Today\Items\Bluetooth Tools
then add new values of:
Type Name Data
REG_SZ DLL BTHToday.dll
REG_DWORD Enabled 1
REG_DWORD Flags 0
REG_DWORD Options 0
REG_DWORD Order 32
REG_DWORD Type 4
NB Order is just the position number in the Today screen list so just tweak it via WM's start\settings\personal\Today route or type a number which suites you directly when entering the values above.
Regards - Mallow 1
PS anyone know a similar program (not the BT profiles part just the auto BT on/ off amd with a taskbar icon... like an enhanced version of BTIcon.exe.... In fact BTIcone.exe with auto on/off would be perfect... of to try another search)
FYI BTTools 1.1.0.0 cab works under TofClock's "WM5 2.01a 64 WWE" but not under the clean WM5 ROM posted by Buzz (i.e 2.00a).

PDAViet Transformer 1.1 in German and a Basic ROM

This ROM is provided as the original Transformer 1.1 and as a abolutely basic ROM.
The Transformer 1.1 version hasn't the Touch Userinterface (because of the non-working Extended-ROM startup). The basic version is a minimalistc WM6 (OS: 5.2.1413 build 17944.0.3.1) without any additional programs from HTC or other programmers. This version is very usable for Custom ROM Cooking I think.
Changes against original PDAViet Transformer 1.1 ROM (Download at the end of that posting):
- WAP Push activated
- Profile-Tab in HTC Home activated
- HTC X-Button activated
- some changes for the recognition against ActiveSync
- backlight and power timeout set to 5 minutes
- brightness set to lowest level (level 1)
- HTC Home, Appointments, Tasks and Windows Live on Today Screen
- all Office Mobile templates available
- EXIF-Info for pictures and videos extended with the device name "Prophet" (I don't know if it works)
Basic ROM (Download at the end of that posting):
The same changes and bugs as in Transformer 1.1 German but these applications are removed:
- HTC Streaming Media
- HTC Home
- HTC AudioManager
- Cyberon Voice Speeddial
- PHM Registry Editor
- PIM BackUp
- Screenshot
- SIP Change
- nearly all of the Touch things
- Esmertec Java
- Network Wizard
Known bugs:
- Setup assistant after Hardreset aren't working
- Touchscreen have to be calibrated after every Softreset
manual solution: remove welcome.lnk from \Windows\AutoStart
- Keyboard still in english layout (QWERTY)
- here and there english phrases possible
- Startup of Extended ROM fter Hardreset aren't working
- Windows MediaPlayer still in english
- Transformer and Touch skins for Windows MediaPlayer choosable (It's not a bug, it's a feature? )
Go for it
EDIT:
Use this patch to remove the touchscreen calibration after each softreset: Remove Recalibration
Thanks a lot. I will test it.
does it work
Hi I've been thnking about for many month the flash my NEO. But I'm afraid that it just won't work properly. Have you tried all funktions? Like bluetooth and WLAN and Camera. Are they all working well? If you have no major disadvantages, I would give it a shot.
Still using the last ROM that o2 provided.
I testet as much I can and found no problem with my software configuration! WLAN, Bluetooth, IrDA and GSM/GPRS works all well!
It's the same as original Transformer 1.1 but mostly in german!
You can try it without problems!
WLAN problems
Hi,
I have been using this ROM for a week now and everything works fine except for the wireless lan. Although I have a strong signal it loses the connection after a minute or even less and I have to reconnect manually via connection settings.
Under WM5 I often used WLAN and it always worked reliably but now I cannot even open a webpage.
Does anyone else experience such problems? Are there any solutions or workarounds?
straissman
Please read the original Transformer 1.1 thread postet from Cloudyfa! I've only translated it into german and so this ROM will have all bugs like the original Tranformer 1.1!
For those who not solved the touchscreen calibration bug:
Download the linked patch in the first post of this thread!

[apr-3-09] nueUSBKeyboard 1.1, turn your phone into a USB Keyboard

http://www.nuerom.com/BlogEngine/post/2009/04/03/nueUSBKeyboard-11.aspx
Version 1.1 adds SIP/international layout support.
Turns your phone into a regular USB HID Keyboard you can use with your computer, PS3, Wii, XBOX360, etc...
edit - xbox360/ps3/wii functionality will be added in next release.
Tested on the HTC Touch Pro CDMA, should work with most WM 5/6 devices...
Hello,
wow, thats a great software!
Two things I noticed:
- It uses a qwerty-keyboard by default, not the one you have on your Touch Pro (German Layout - QWERTZ)
- Win Key does not work
Best Regards
no2chem does it once again
This looks amazing!
Can anyone confirm it working on an HTC Kaiser or with a Mac? I cannot get mine to function :/
I've just tried my luck with my Touch HD and a Vista 64-Bit PC and encountered a few problems:
1. The WIN key doesn't work
2. The Touch HD doesn't have a hardware keyboard and what I type with my softkeyboard doesn't appear in the active window on my PC

If I recall correctly, the HTC Kaiser USB stack is strange; It doesn't even support USB Mass Storage function.. Perhaps Kaiser USB Function stack needs an update...

Do the Function (F1, Fx..) keys work? I'll see if there's a way to hook into the software keyboard.

Ok, I'll take another look at the winkey and how to localize the layout... Question though, is your computer set to use german layout as well?
Yep, both - TouchPro and my Computer - are using german qwertz layout.
Thanks for looking into that!
Wow
Incredible work no2chem. I hope you can enjoy a beer or two 95M66551P0347163L
Anyone confirm it is working with the PS3. That's were I really need it!!
Thanks
The link doesn't seem to be working at the moment (FF3, IE8 & GC).
No2chem,
Your sight seems to be down??
His sight seems to be down atm
doesnt seem to be working on my diamond. Only the alt ctrl del seems to work.
Can this work through Bluetooth? That would be even better!

same here, the buttons that come with the program works but not the on screen keyboard.
Tested with diamond running might rom 4.7 on vista and XP. I assumed it wouldn't work on a PS3 as well.
I'll wait for an update, thanks no2chem!
Nice work. Now for the question. Any chance of a bluetooth version?
It worked with my laptop. However, I had to reset it because the laptop keyboard did not work after plugging in my phone and using nueUSBkeyboard.
I also checked my 360 and it did not work at all.
Anything I can do to stop my laptop from not working and have it also work with my 360? Thanks!
Great
Great idea but i cant install it on my SonyEricsson X1.
Help needed!
Love the idea for this, and it worked pretty nicely on my Touch Pro The only issue I had was that the space bar registers as Alt and some other key (forgot now) was coming up as F1.
I expected it to fail on Kaiser, but it actually worked on first try ! (build 21032)
I have some feedback after a few tests :
- WinKey button on screen does not work
- Alt-tab feature cycles on my XP
- Layout is QWERTY instead of AZERTY and i can't find the letter 'M'
- Slower than remote control.
- Spacebar / Enter activates the button with focus on screen as well as sending keypress to the computer. Could be quickly fixed with a dummy button on screen that grabs focus all the time.
Other than that, it's a great piece of software ! It will come in handy for those servers i have at work without keyboard

3G to GSM item in Iolite CommManager

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=567721
3G in comm manager
Thanks man! This was one of the few things which did not work properly on my Touch Cruise 2. I had the symbol indeed in comm manager but could not get it working. Although now WM longlife (automatic 3G-GSM switcher) is not working........but ok...wil work on it a bit and see if I can get this running again.
WMLongLife looks good, but it doesn't work for me on clean ROM, without any registry changes.
Sometime it works, but sometime it switch my phone off and only Soft Reset helps to restore connection.
I tried latest WMLongLife but for now this test FAILED on Iolite.
=)
Ok, thanks for info. Than I will keep my hands off WM longlife. Anyway if I can manually change 3G->GSM is fine to me...
Thanks dude! Woohoo!
