A Word from the Author:
Hi Guys,
I hope you will enjoy using this software. For the young budding software developers who need to be pointed in the right direction. Note that this cube uses the following API's :
- MAPI
- TAPI
- POOM Both C++ and C#
- EdgeLib Framework
I used MSDN2 examples and many internet articles to become more familiar with C++. I also referred to the Edgelib Library Reference to make the most use of it. The cube is made of 5 3D Models, NOT 1. Each face is a 3D Model and they all move in unison to appear as a solid cube. If I hadn't mentioned that you would have never known the visual difference. Each face has 4 vertices and is made of 2 polygons each. The polygons are made up buy 3 vertices. Using the Normals will determine in which direction the 3D Model menu will face...ie. outside the cube or inside. I created a GIANORMOUS Input function that detects screen swipes and screen taps. When dealing with different modules like accessing contacts numbers I made sure that they were in their own function to reduce code ambiguity.
This program took 1 month to make from start to finish and contains over 3000 lines of code....not your typical hello world app hey?...lolol.
Best wishes to all that supported the project and hope to wow you again soon!

Slither2006.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Know Issues:
Bugs Found:
Background Picture bleeding on some applications that open.
The WHOLE SCLPC++ Folder MUST be placed here : /Application Data/SCLPC++ or adding a contact WILL NOT WORK!
Because of an absolute path in the cube it must be stored on the device not on a SD card....although you can configure it on the Device then transfer it to your SD card and it has been reported to work this way.
Start Menu disappears when a program is not specified in the ProgramList.ini i.e. MainAppPath1 = "" (BUG FIXED)
Contact Pics only show a partly filled contact face button when choosing a contact that has an Outlook contact picture....contact contact...lolol. (BUG FIXED)
Can't easily specify to open a specific folder to open in file explorer using the cube. (BUG FIXED)
Slight size/scalse distortion on the first and last frame of ALL animations. (BUG FIXED)
Rotation Animation starts after the cube zooms out. (BUG FIXED)
SCLPC++ opens up multiple instances of itself on some devices. Please post which devices guys.

Still Left ToDo:
Compile this with the Full Edgelib Library!!!

Supported Devices List:
Wizard G3
Hermes
Trinity / HTC 3600

Hi guys,
I am new in these forum and not used to post a thread.
but i have been following the his great job for a while in this forum.
And enjoy a lot Slither2006 cube.
Lets help him to make a another new great cube.
Kang.

Thanks for the update slither. Ill donate soon and good luck with the coding, hope it gets as good as sclpf 1-60 soon

Thanks Guys!,
I'm currently waiting on a response from a moderator at edglib's forum to help me out with getting a transperancy effect when opening the cube.

Hey Slither, I see you're at it again. Could you give us some idea how this Cube will be different/comparable to the HTC Cube by Kona_mtbkr, or the advantages/disadvantages of this cube over your flash cube?

Thanks for your answer on the other forum.
I keep checking to see if the WM6 Version is uploaded.
I will also donate to the project.

like your work, just donated

Donated (again)!
Slither, I am a little confused by your To Do list (particularly the Launch feature). Is this cube functional at it's current state, or is it just for show?

This is not to answer your questions I would just want to outline what seem to work on mine and join you in asking for clarification.
I saw it as a Demo and the only functions it allows me is open/close/minimize/rotate.
I am guessing that without an available .INI/.Txt or ConfigTool there is no way to get it to do other stuff right?

One more donation heading your way Slither.
You did a great job on the flash version and I'm sure your new version will be even better.

HTC Cube(Kona) vs SCLPF vs SCLPC++
Hi Guys,
Thanks for your support!!!! At the moment the cube will NOT open or launch any programs. However I will update this very shortly as I also want to make this cube more usable quickly. So far the SCLPC++ beta 0-01 is just to show you the power and speed I'm getting from EdgeLib's framework and to hopefully convince guys that it is worth the donation.
HTC Cube Original (Kona's version) Vs. SCLPF Vs. SCLPC++
I'll first start with :
Similarities
Animations are identical (SCLPF has a few more)
Functionality is identical (SCLPF has additional functionality)
Speed
SCLPF and HTC Original is slower than SCLPC++ with rotation animation
SCLPF must load from Flash Player and have Flash Player running in the background
SCLPC++ takes 2 secs on a 400 /500mhz device to load
SCLPC++ minimize and restore are INSTANT
SCLPC++ animations are INCREDIBLY SMOOTH AND FAST! So fast I had to cut the framerate to half down to 30fps.
HTC Original Cube is instant on open animation
Stability & Compatibility
SCLPC++ is compatible on WM2003, WM05, WM06
SCLPF is compatible on WM05, WM06
HTC Cube is compatible on WM05, WM06 (not sure of WM2003)
SCLPC++ will be close as close to 99.9% stable as I can get it
SCLPF is 99% stable provided some assumptions are made regarding the device it is installed on.
HTC Original Cube input detection can be bad some times.
Eye Candy
All interfaces are nearly identical except for SCLPF which has more menus
HTC Original Cube has a fade in and out effect over the top of the today screen
SCLPC++ will have some additional eye candy depending on EdgeLib's forum support
Features
SCLPF has 2 additional menus and it's own Confuration Application plus many more!
SCLPC++ will try to stay true to the HTC Cube's original features.
HTC Cube has it's own Configuration Settings and an Audio Manager Plugin
Conclusion
SCLPF has many useful features but lacks speed due to the fact it runs off the Flash Lite Player 2.1 which also provides many programming boundaries.
HTC Cube Original is useful but is marginally slower on high powered devices.
SCLPC++ Will be faster than all cubes and will hopefully be as close a clone to the HTC Cube Original.

WOW...
All i can say..

Hey all,
I'm certainly impressed by this demo, esp with its speed and smoothness. I've recently looked at a touch dual and demo'd the original cube and it was very good.
I don't know why no one mentions this, but I am sure the HTC Cube by Kona_mtbkr is alot slower and chuggier than the original cube?
This one is very good perfect and is as fast as the original...

Hi tsaurus!
Thanks for your results! I have also heard from another user say that the HTC Dual's cube ran fast as well. When I tested the Kona cube I was impressed it was hacked to work on all devices but very dissappointed in the speed. I'm definitely happy with the SCLPC++ speed.
Hi Guys,
Here's a breakthrough, for me anyway, since I'm new to C++ PPC programming I have found how to execute a program from within your program. This means i will get all buttons launching programs VERY SOON!! I first want to create a buttons class that will keep track of each menus button characteristics or properties.
Since this is a community I am happy to share the code that launches another program from within C++ :
Code:
//This is a ShellExecute Information structure object, it holds
//the path of the file to execute and other options/parameters
//declare this as a member variable of your class.
SHELLEXECUTEINFO ShExecInfo;
//Now place this following code either in your Initialization
//part of your code (when it first starts).
//Just change the lpFile and lpDirectory object variables to change
//which program you wish to start or in your function.
ShExecInfo.cbSize = sizeof(SHELLEXECUTEINFO);
ShExecInfo.fMask = NULL;
ShExecInfo.hwnd = NULL;
ShExecInfo.lpVerb = NULL;
ShExecInfo.lpFile = _T("BubbleBreaker.exe");
ShExecInfo.lpParameters = NULL;
ShExecInfo.lpDirectory = _T("/Windows/");
ShExecInfo.nShow = SW_MAXIMIZE;
ShExecInfo.hInstApp = NULL;
//Place this in response to a user input/function/event etc....
void SlithersClass::MyFunction(void)
{
ShellExecuteEx(&ShExecInfo);
}
I wrote this example myself and it will open Bubble breaker once the "ShellExecuteEx(&ShExecInfo);" function is called. This can be very useful for those who wish to make their own GUI launchers.
Update soon!

apps page
Being built in C++ will SCLPC have a configurable apps page, will there be an option for more pages than the original 3 (or 4) I know with SCLPF you had be considering the option of essentially unlimited pages (status pages, additonal contacts etc), is this possible with C++ (even a 4 app page would be great though). Anyway keep up the great work Slither!

Hey Aaron,
With SCLPC++ it loads the PNG file of all the required animations on startup. Minimze and Restore doesn't load or unload this png(although I'll try and get it to in the future to reduce memory consumption when minimized)....This is the main reason for the 2.28mb memory overhead. I'm thinking of splitting the PNG into 3 strips of animations. i.e. one for Main one for Music and one for contacts. I would then only load the Music one when the cube loads up. When the user slides left or right I'd get it to unload the music png and load the appropriate png and start the animation. If this dynamic loading of menus and animations works good on slow devices then yes unlimited menus is definitely a possibility. I will definitely make a fourth menu page but this time I will wait until the the 3 sided version is finished first as i know there are a lot of patriots for the classic version. After the 4th menu page I'll make a today screen that looks identical to the Home plugin but without the Taskbar or Softkey bars. This way when you open the cube you will be able to slide to the today screen and just leave it there without having to close the cube...this will not only remove the need for having FTouchFlo start up the cube but would allow me to apply future today screen to the updown motion when in the cube so you don't have to rotate to the today screen....my thoughts are a bit jumbled but the end result is a less fiddley interface...lolol. The project may be finished sooner than I thought...lolol

Tips/Updates (by ltxda):
- Save As enhancement. Go to Settings, System, select File Dialog Changer and check "Exchange Standard File Dialog". This changes out the standard Save As window and provides an enhancement where you can choose any folder/subfolder on your device and navigate the structure when trying to save files from any source.
- WkTask enable: it is disabled by default and must be enabled from the start menu and set to start on startup(if prefered). It will place the battery bar on top like in previous bars if the setting is selected. The version is not the latest because the latest causes issues.
- wkTask: Two nice features...of course they are in the manual...to get back to Today screen from any program....click-hold the area where the X typically is and drag left. This takes you right back to the Today screen. To minimize the current app, click-hold the X area and drag down. Very useful little program that has replaced Magic Button for me. Also allows per app control. Thanks Hirad for the recommendation! Also, This resides in the area where the X typically sits to close programs, etc. Start wkTask from Programs, click and hold the "X" area and go into preferences for wkTask. Make sure it's set to autostart by going to Startup tab and clicking the corresponding button. This is a great task manager.
- FingerTouch Keyboard: By default the option is not set to to layout 1. This can be changed via the options or via the bottom left corner button.
- Today Screen: All/default plugs have been deactivated except for htc home. Just go to Settings, Personal, Today and go to the Items tab to reactivate what you want.
- Reminders: I'm annoyed by the constant reminder notifications after the initial notice. To disable this annoyance go to Settings, Personal, Sounds & Notifications, Notifications tab, select Reminders from the drop down and uncheck "Repeat". Not sure if this bothers anyone else but it really annoyed me and I've seen a couple of posts asking how to disable this.
- Vijay555's VJCandela aka Flashlight: It's been reported on other threads that prolonged activation of the flash light LED may cause it to burn out so use at your own risk. I have used it without problems. Comes in very handy. Also great for blinding your enemies before an attack! ;-p
- HTC Home customizer: the version on the forums will mess up the htc home plugin because of the new larger vga images. the addon cabs have the older version that also worked in all dpis.
- TCPMP: starts in portrait and is used in portrait but after closing with X will make the phone go back to landscape.
- Config App: A new config app can now be found in settings under system. This app is made thanx to cmonex and will allow u to do many things. If u any have suggestions including what to add please pm me.
- Touchflo: Touchflo has the scroll sounds enabled by default. this can be disabled via the system tab in settings. settings for touchflo are also found in the new config app.
- VueFlo: the sensitivity for changing orientation can be adjusted in the system tab of settings. orientation changing can be turned on and off via the config app.
- SRS Wow HD: it can be found in the system tab in settings. use this to get surround sound and to improve sound. it is mostly used for the speakers or a headset.
- Large Start Menu: i have moved the settings for the large start menu from personal to system tab in settings. u can enable or disable the large start menu from in there.
- USB to PC: a new usb to pc tool is included. it allows mass storage now and is found under the connections tab in settings.
- Opera browser: easy configuration can be done by typing opera:config into the adress bar. it already has been modded though to allow up to 50 tabs and to have a ie7 user id. a cab in program files/system will make opera have a x7510 user id again.
- Customizations: only sdautorun.exe is ran and if finds the sdconfig.txt on ur sd will execute ur settings and reset. if not will end the customizations and allow you to use the phone. the phone might need to be turned back on.
- skype, weatherpanel, igo, video playback: turn off htc home and if needed install the one in the addons. it has been found htc home causes issues with these because of it being vga size and a resource hog.
- missing icons and same welcomehead in all dpis: these are caused by realvga. tobias needs to update his realvga to fix these issues cause by the new aku1.
- vga album: it can hang sometimes. this could be also associated with htc home. if it does hang just do a soft reset. this is do to the app being vga. newer versions in the future will fix the loading issues.
- enlarge menus: the setting to turn off the enlarged menus is found in the config app. there also is a advanced button to adjust how big u want the menus. if u really want a finger friendly menu, try 1600 but dont go above it.
- apptodate: this is a interesting app we included that will once ran check for new version of the rom and config app.
- wmp in 96dpi portrait: there is a issue with it starting. the work around is to run wmp in any other mode and go to the skin selection and select the proper skin in there then coming back to this mode.(tested by going to 192 dpi and selecting the 192 dpi skin)

thanks for coming
yes, it is great that AP4 is coming soon; but if you need to post about pressing F5 or thanking the team, why not post in one of the other threads discussing the same topic.
And when it is released, please try to refrain from posting things like Downloading now or thanks for the great Rom.
If you really want to thank Pawel, ltxda, Boinger66, Olipro and Cmonex, why not click on one of their signatures and donate to the project or them individually.
If you must post about "great rom thanks", "downloading now"
"getting another beer","American Beer is mostly water", Euro Beer tastes like the crap at the bottom of the keg",etc; please post those in the other bull **** threads..
AND if you like the Rom DONATE a few bucks to the AP Team!
Ok, Chris...you can delete this and the other crap posts in this thread!
Thanks for all the hard work AP Team. Hitting F5 and charging my X7501.
waiting as well
bugs
hey guys does anyone know if the bugs for th 66% battery been fixed? what about the other bugs that the bets testers submitted? whats still buggy in the ap4 so far?
cant wait to flash it soon.. major reason for ap4 is the battery percentage driver and the orientation that switches automatically..

[Updated 2009-02-11] Scrobble 1.3 - a free crossword puzzle game

SCROBBLE
====================================
Scrobble is a free crossword puzzle board game for Windows Mobile Pocket PCs.
Thanks to everyone who has downloaded and enjoyed Scrobble!
Scrobble has reached over 20,000 downloads since the first version was released in January 2009. It seems like the current version 1.3 is pretty stable and satisfactory. I know some people have requested new features (such as saving your game, adding words to the dictionary, submitting high scores, networked multiplayer, etc.)... and while I would like to implement all of these, I have started developing for the Google Android platform instead of Windows Mobile (if you want to know why, ask and I'll gladly explain! ). I will still fix bugs for Scrobble if they arise, but probably won't be adding any new features for a while (months? year or two?). By the way, for anyone requesting a Save Game feature... whenever I want to "save" my game I just hit the Home button on my phone, which puts Scrobble in the background. Then when I want to pick up my game again I use the task manager to switch back to it (I'm not sure if every Windows Mobile phone has this ability). But this method has worked pretty well for me.
Scrobble runs best on VGA-resolution displays, but it also works on QVGA and WVGA devices. Drag the board around with your finger/stylus or use your device's d-pad to move the board around so you can see all of it.

- NOTE: Installing a new version of Scrobble will automatically overwrite your existing dictionary files. So if you have changed to a different language, you must change back to it manually after installing a new version.
- You can now tap Game->Options... to change your dictionary. Put all your dictionary files in the folder in which you installed Scrobble. Choose a dictionary from Game->Options... then restart Scrobble to use it.
- v1.3 uses the OSPD (I think v4) English dictionary by default, which contains around 80,000 words.

VERSION 1.3 --- 2009-02-11
- Fixed letter distribution issues (now includes the letter "Y"!)
- Modified CPU-Normal user a bit (a tad easier maybe).
- You can now use the Game->Options menu to choose what dictionary you would like to use. (Note that this still uses the English distribution of letters and scores).
- Minor fixes and changes.
- Support for automatic notification of updates via DeviceUpdate. I tried to support AppToDate as well but I'm waiting on some answers from their forum about a registry key that's needed to make it work.
VERSION 1.2 --- 2009-02-03
- Fixed bug where CPU always uses 'Z' for their blanks, and sometimes plays words that are invalid.
- Fixed bug where game would crash if you place one letter to your move, take it back, then try to submit it.
- You can now drag the board around freely on sub-VGA res devices.
- Changed the amount that the board moves when using the d-pad, so it moves shorter distances at a time.
- Changed both NORM and HARD CPU players (speeding up their turns and changing the way they look for moves).
VERSION 1.1 --- 2009-01-31
- Sped up the computer players (especially NORM).
- Made NORM a little more difficult and HARD a little easier.
- Fixed issue where only 1/4th of the board was visible on QVGA/WVGA displays.
- Minor GUI changes (should look better on sub-VGA displays).
VERSION 1.0 --- 2009-01-30
- Added ability to choose AI opponents (NORMAL and HARD difficulty).
- Increased text sizes for better readability on sub-VGA resolution screens.
- The board is now in a bounded area so it looks cleaner when moved around.
- Removed "Turn:" from the upper-right corner, as the current player is already displayed at the bottom.
- Players can only exchange their letters when there are at least 7 letters left in the bag.
- Other minor changes (cosmetic, bug fixes, etc.).
VERSION 0.53 - beta --- 2009-01-22
- Added the ability to move the Scrobble board around with the directional pad, so devices with sub-VGA resolutions can "see" all parts of the board. The center/Enter button snaps the board to its default (upper-left corner) position.
- The Scrobble shortcut is now placed in the Games folder instead of Programs/Applications. If you don't have a Games folder, one should be created for you.
MULTI-LANGUAGE SUPPORT
====================================
To change the dictionary that Scrobble uses from English to your language (if it's currently supported; if it's not please read the first reply to this post below), follow these instructions:
1. Download the dictionaries/languages file: dicts-de-en-fi-fr-it-nl-pl.zip.
2. Extract the desired language files to your device (including d1- and d2-... such as d1-dutch.scro and d2-dutch.scro if you wanted the Dutch dictionary), into the folder in which you installed Scrobble (EX: \Program Files\Scrobble\).
3. Run Scrobble and tap Game->Options. Choose the desired d1-LANG.scro from the dropdown box and tap OK. Tap OK to the "Saved" message.
4. Restart Scrobble. Note that Scrobble only uses the 26 letters from English (A to Z). So just use the English equivalent of any non-English letters (Ä = A, Ê = E, etc.) in a word.
Note: There are a couple English dictionaries -- OSPD is installed with v1.3 by default, and SOWPODS is the very large dictionary from v1.2.
OTHER LANGUAGES: There are some other dictionaries attached as zip files further along down in this thread... such as Spanish and Catalan (page 4 if you are logged in).

Updates / News
(Look here for future announcements, important messages, etc.).
If you would like to try to create or find a Scrobble dictionary for a language other than English, it must follow these requirements:
1. A single text file, not binary / database / etc. The entire dictionary should be easily editable in Notepad.
2. All UPPERCASE letters. (Use the free Notepad++ for this... Select All, then Edit -- to Upper case).
3. A single list of words, one word per line, no breaks, no spaces
4. You must convert all "special" letters to their A, B, C, ..., X, Y, Z equivalent.. so Ö becomes O, Ä becomes A, etc.
Here's how the English dictionary file starts:
AA
AARDVARK
AARDVARKS
AARDWOLF
...
NOTE: I have already found German, Finnish, French and Serbian dictionaries. So if you would like support for these languages, just let me know and I will try to include them in an upcoming version of Scrobble. (In the meantime, playing the English-only version can only improve your English spelling and vocabulary skills if you are a non-native English speaker!).
-----------------
UPDATE - French Language Support
If you would like French support, follow these instructions:
1. download the attached dict-french.zip.
2. extract the d1.scro and d2.scro files to your device.
3. rename the existing files that are installed with Scrobble in:
\Program Files\Scrobble\
to d1-en.scro and d2-en.scro
4. replace them with d1.scro and d2.scro from the zip file.
5. restart Scrobble.
I have not tested this (as I don't know French) so please let me know your results.
Tested it on Kaiser (QVGA) and...
Since I loved this game in the early years, i had to try it.
The Game seems to work good and smooth (fast), but the pics are to big. I've made some screenshots how it looks on my Kaiser.
Kaiser is running WM 6.1, AthineOS NAKED Rom, installed the game on my storage card.
The board is 4 way to big (you can see the star in the middel in the down-right corner). Also somethings are hard to read (the screenshots says it all i guess, they are not scaled).
The game is easy to understand, if not there´s a huge Help & About under the Game menu.
You can Look up words... (are they in the Scrobble dictonary or not?)
Request:
I hope someone (you acrosse?) could make this great game work for Qvga devices.
Some other Feedback:
- The Shortcut is placed under programs, I think it´s better under programs\games
- I'm interested in dictonary (I could help with a dutch one), P.M. me how I need to help.
Support for non-VGA devices
bigchrizzieboy,
Thanks for trying out Scrobble on your device and posting the results and screenshots.
I will look into providing support for other resolutions (QVGA, WVGA, etc.).
The problem is that the board is very small and not too finger-friendly even on my 480x640 display. I have to use a stylus to tap the desired tile.
But I could look into using scrollbars.
Hi! thanks a lot for sharing !
What would you need exactly to translate into french ?
French translation
hanackin,
I actually have a French Scrabble dictionary. I'll try to include this language in the next major release of Scrobble.
Thanks for the interest!
ok!!! That's good news so
I will wait for the next release so
Thanks dude

how about using the Dpad to move around the board, or letting the board freely move around the screen (dragging) so that you can slide it over to the area you want to see. Or even use a zoom feature to see a certain area better.
this is very nice, i like scrabble very much. But i like to play against friends.
So my first feature request is:
- Multiplayer support through Bluetooth or wi fi.

Seifer,
I would love to do multiplayer support over Bluetooth or WiFi, but this would be quite complex and take a long time. So I may implement it in the future, but for now you will just have to pass one device back and forth. I designed Scrobble so that when one player's turn is over a large "Move Results" dialog covers up their letters, so the next player cannot see the other player's letters. They have to tap a large button in order to take their turn. (If people are close enough to play over Bluetooth or WiFi, they are most likely close enough to pass their device back and forth! ).
v0.53 has ability to move the board around using d-pad

bigchrizzieboy, check out v0.53 and see if this helps any. I couldn't really do anything about the hard-to-read text. This text is already very small on VGA devices, and it just gets more distorted when WM6 tries to fit it on a QVGA screen / aspect ratio. It looks like it's at least legible from your screenshots, although not very pretty.
But now you can use your device's d-pad to move the board around (thanks to joshrys for this idea), and the center/Enter button will snap it back to its default top-left corner position. I only tested this on my Fuze/Touch Pro so feel free to let me know your results!
Also the shortcut goes to Programs\Games now.
Testing
GREAT!
Will test it, post some feedback/screenies later today...
Erm ...! Can I replace the words database with a german one? Or how can I edit the words database for this little great game?
Have long time searched for such a game as for freeware!

I searched for this game, too, but only found the Handmark Scrabble "official game." But it didn't even display correctly on my VGA screen (half the letters were missing).
Anyway... unfortunately the game is somewhat hard-coded in English.
Replacing the dictionary would only work if it was with a language that had exactly 26 letters (same as English), and the same exact ones (A, B, C, ..., X, Y, Z).
But German (and most other non-English languages) have umlauts, accents, etc. So I will have to work on providing support for other languages (your vote for German is counted).
tested v0.53 on QVGA
Running (smooth) from memory card on Kaiser, WM 6.1, qvga
The board moves, that's it. It doesn;t display anything special. The quarter just floats arround.
Described from left to right (first screenshot "serie"):
- moved to left
- moved to left and then up
- moved a bit back and get a great score
- moved to right and down (then i see scrollbars).
the "center button" works good (places the board in no time in the upper left)
I'm not a developer, but the solution is in my oppinion something like the floating board inside a frame that can't move.
Zoomed in so you can see the Font that's unclear.
Keep up the great work

What is needed to make this work? I think:
- delete/customize the words with special letters like ö,é (coöperatie, privé).
- anything else?

Once you change all the "special" letters (anything that does not appear in English's alphabet, A-Z) to their "normal" equivalent (like all ö's become o and all é's become e), re-upload the file.
I will take it and write a little custom Windows app to convert it to ALL UPPERCASE (or something like Notepad++ or an advanced text editor could probably do this). Then I will create the 2 special dictionary files that Scrobble requires, d1.scro and d2.scro. These are located in \Program Files\Scrobble. You can rename the current d1.scro and d2.scro to d1-en.scro and d2-en.scro, and then put in the special Dutch ones.
Then you can play the game and just use e instead of é, etc.
EDIT: Yeah, in Notepad++ (a great, free, advanced Windows text/code editor) you can do Edit...Select All, and then Edit...to Upper case. You probably also want to make sure that once you remove all special letters that there are no two words in the list that are exactly the same. Does Dutch use a lot of special letters? Would it be pretty easy to play Scrobble in Dutch with only the use of normal A-Z English letters?
Thanks a lot acrosser !!!!!
I will test it right now
edit : so far everything seems good. Just to be more frenchy, I can translate all the srtings to make it fully french, just send me what needs to be translated and I will proceed.
Little remark, the game board on a VGA screen is a little bit small a bigger one would be better. And A WVGA version would also be great

I have uploaded the French dictionary in text format. Feel free to edit it and make it more "Frenchy" --- just remember to only use capital letters, A to Z.
I could make the board a little bigger, but I want it to all fit at once on a VGA screen. The problem with support for non-VGA devices is that I am developing in Visual Studio .NET 2008... and as far as I can tell it doesn't really support multiple-resolution device development very well. WM tries to scale it down and fit everything that it can, but any text that is very small already on a VGA resolution is going to be tiny, distorted and unreadable on smaller screens.
I would almost have to create a new project just for WVGA, and another QVGA... and then any bug fixes in the "main" one would have to be duplicated across all three! (This is my first project for Windows Mobile devices).
thanks for that
and how about to make it multilingual ?
cheers

|RAPH|6.5|ROM|WWE| ★ EnergyROM 3.0 'Phoenix' (21731) ★ || Build date 2009/6/5 ||
Welcome to my ROM thread!
This ROM is the "3.0" series of my ROM line, and it's designed to have the latest and greatest applications and improvements.
Because of this it may not always be as stable or bugfree, as a stock ROM. However, I can assure you, it's much... MUCH faster than any stock ROM on your device. I build my ROMs for speed, therefore this is a "performance" ROM. Battery life is not important here
The ROM is being continuously developed and bug fixed and there's almost daily releases. I've decided to name each release by the date when it was released. For example, 50109 would have been released on May 1st, 2009. I should also mention it's UC compatible and more info about that can be found here.
This ROM is currently based on the 21728 Windows Mobile 6.5 OS core, along with all the new goodies from the newly announced Topaz and Tachi devices.
It's got the new new Manila interface, new HTC enhanced finger menus, new notifications system, album, FM radio and MP3 trimmer, connection setup etc.
Starting with the 51809 release, the ROM was recreated from scratch. The result is much, much lower RAM usage and general snappiness and speed were vastly improved. Therefore I decided to rename the ROM "Phoenix" as it was 'reborn' just like the mythical bird
If you own a Touch PRO, use the "Keyboard Selector" application under Utillities (after you flash the ROM) to select the proper keyboard layout to use. The ROM comes with the Fuze layout by default.
What you will find in the downloads directories:
"Standard" includes the new TF3D2 (Rhodium Manila) along with the standard Windows Mobile 6.5 today plugin(Tianium)
"Titanium" only includes the Titanium today plugin. No Manila in this version.
"OldManila" includes the older TF3D Manila (as see on a stock ROM), plus Titanium.
"Plain" is a build without manila or titanium.

Known bugs
The lock screen interferes with the HTC Dialer application. It's best not to use it for now. If you have to, you will have to deal with weird behaviour from the dialer!
If you want to use the microsoft dialer instead, open up Advanced Config under Tweaks (in the Start Menu) and disable the phone skin (first item in the Phone section). Reboot...
Goodies
- If you want to go back to the 3 row Start Menu download the attached cab.
- If you want the original slider as seen here >
- If anybody wants a high resolution wallpaper for Manila for THIS ROM, download the cab below. THis will set your "default wallpaper" as the current background in Manila but.. you'll see it on ALL tabs
Make sure to disable the wallpaper in settings after you install the cab, and let it set the "default wallpaper" to get the full effect.
- If you want to use the great white folders that geok made for this ROM... Download and install the attached cab
JUST A REMINDER: this is a GSM only ROM. ROM for CDMA version found HERE. OR YOU CAN TRY YOUR LUCK HERE. READ BOTTOM OF POST (coming from the chef himself)If you just got your FUZE and this is your first time using a custom ROM you may need to START READING HERE FIRST before you proceed.

For everyone: words of thought from the experts!
"A general rule if you don't see your unique problem mentioned anywhere in this thread, chances are you're the only one with the problem and YOU did something to cause it.
The random hard reset problems have been around for a while. I've never experienced them myself, but I bet it has something to do corrupted blocks in your internal flash chip. I recommend searching the forum for raphdiag.nbh and using it to format your flash storage.. then install the ROM again" NRGZ28
======================================
"Please remember folks that there are a lot of variables here and the ROM is just one of them. You may have any number of the following issues
1) a bad flash
2) an incompatibility issue
3) a settings problem
4) a large RF source in your pants
If several people all determine that they have done XYZ and have problem ABC it may be that NGR can do something about it. Until such time, you have some troubleshooting to do. Namely;
1) Flash the stock ROM and spend a few days noting the behavior as you add your software
2) Flash an NRG ROM and use it a few days without adding software
3) start adding software until the problem occurs." ..BigBadger
MORE BATTERY SAVING TIPS FROM BigBadger
• There is nothing special about this ROM to make it use more power than other ROMs except that it is tweaked for performance over battery life.
• Make sure you follow all of the flashing instructions to the letter. Especially the part about hard reset.
• Backlight is set to high. You might want to change that.
• 3G is on by default. Recommendation is to turn it off when you are not surfing the internet.
• If your radio does not match your rilphone.dll you can get crazy bad battery drainage. Make sure they match. There is a separate thread for that.
• Check to see that some application is not still running in the background. Check, do not assume.
• Check to see if the screen is still on when you expect it to be off. Soft reset can fix that issue.
• Some radios work better with some carriers and locations. Asking everyone to tell you what radio to use may not give you the best answer. Be specific about your situation.
• The battery meter will not settle down and give accurate readings for a few battery cycles.
• For the first few battery charging cycles, try to charge with phone off and then allow battery to get down as low as possible before recharging.
• The GPS sucks the battery dry. If you want to keep track of yourself, consider something like GPSToday that only wakes up the GPS once in a while.

9. by: gjakovic Hi EnergyROM lovers, You know the problem on people tab where for contacts with multiple numbers manila will call only the default one!? Well now it is fixed I ported the code from Topaz and recompiled the embedded LUAs in manila files that caused the problem. Enjoy! Although this is a Manila problem I have decided to post my fix here to contribute to great ROM and bring it closer to perfection.
P.S. Since this is a new port please report back if you find any issues.
Instruction for noobs: Stop the manila: Start->settings->today->tab Items-> uncheck TouchFLO 3D, use Total commander to replace the files in Windows directory with the ones in attachment. FAQ'S:
1. by:NRGZ28 Seems that Captain Throwback found the problem with the All_People crash! I omitted the httpclient.dll file from my rom and that's what's causing the All People page to crash. Here's a cab for the fix, until I can release a fixed ROM
2. Again hope I dont get flamed but I cannot seem to get picture rotation and thought it was working in 51809
goofeyass: hergs HTC Album 2.5 cab works great, pictures rotate and seem clearer. You can install this cab over this awesome Rom.http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?ynjlvtjawvc
3. It's a great ROM, but can anyone tell me how to active the Titanium view?
at10ti0n: start -> settings -> today -> Items tab -> check "windows default", uncheck TouchFLo 3d
4. I downsized my start menu, and now it looks great and is even more user friendly. Now if I can just get File Explorer on the start menu with a better looking icon...
at10ti0n: Another thing you may want to look for it the "re/Start" program. it is floating int the forum somewhere. I cleaned up my menu and it helps to re-prioritize the items in the main window. I only wish I could change the sub/sub folders. HERE
5. I'm absolutely hating new TF3D scrolling currently. The icons when u scroll, are just too low, its too near your thumb. Is there a way, perhaps a manilla file replacement, that can put it back up a lil higher, as it was in the OLD TF3D? Shep was able to do it, but shep doesnt really reply questions : / also if it helps, showaco's all tabs pictures cab, does solve it, making it higher. however, scrolling TF3D with showaco installed in landscaped is screwed, being off centre to the right any solutions?
gjakovic: TRY THIS
6. can you possible make another manila file that is the lower position but clear in all tabs . as in transluscent no matter what tab your on , for the past few builds it seems that its only clear on the home tab for me. THANKS !
gjakovic: TRY THIS
7. Can I return the start menu icons to three in a row? How?And could you return the phone.exe icon in start menu?
NRGZ28: HERE
8. I´m not sure, but I hear the ringtones and the alarm more quiet than older realeases (of course with volume at maximum), anyone notice this too?
bauerpavel: ...full is like superloud a.Audio_Full_Boost.cab b.Audio_Lighter_Boost.cab
9. Is there a cab floating around for a "Fave People" entry on the 6.5 Start screen?
BigBadger: Look here: 6.5 PLUGINS!
10. Its official BB connect doesnt work on WM6.5. Have tried now on several ROMS including this one. Its no go, both 21232/21234 Builds. If anyone has a workaround this please let me know. Or if anyone has got BBConnect to work on WM 6.5 please post
HappyHammer: A quick search would reveal there is an easy solution to this. Either edit the registry as described in this thread or search for Taiseer's cab. I have BBConnect .106 working fine on EnergyROM 52209
11. Is there an issue with SocialNetworking (upload to facebook) from Album? It isn't built into this ROM and I was curious...
kwill: heres a cab to put the album with facebook upload back in and the account manager in settings. i use it and it works fine. i really havent noticed what the album 3.0 does for rhodium manila. i actually dont use tf3d2 enough to notice. HTC Album + SocialNetworksEngine.cab
12. MORE QUESTIONS ANSWERED BY THE CHEF HIMSELF!
13. Can't Sent Text Messages! When composing a new text message the address to: turns to a number 1 after I hit send, and will not send to the person. So instead of either a phone number or John Doe I just have a number 1.
Should be: Looks like:
John Doe 8:30AM 2kb 1 8:30AM 2kb
Hey whats up yo? Hey whats up yo?
Strangely, if John Doe texts me first, I can reply to those messages just fine. Its ONLY new messages that wont work. Also, im not getting a text message can't be sent message, it seems like instead of sending it to 3305551234 its sending it to 1.
Tomik1: Try this registry setting: HKLM\System\Inbox\RecipientAutocomplete\MaxSuggest ions=0
14. I didnt see any answer to this and was wondering if anyone has any solutions. If i am on a call, and someone calls me, i get no notification until it is missed. When missed, It beeps telling me that i missed a call. I noticed this on the last 3 builds (52009. 53109, and 60109). Any clues?
outphase: Fixed! Change registry key /HKCU/ControlPanel/Sounds/CallWaiting/Sound to CallWait.wav

you are much more lucky than i am, i cannot download any data via this link
What exactly is the PagePool_Changer.exe used for in the roms folder?
Also in your manilla theme the stocks icon pops up on the slider when it passes over the stocks item, this has been a issue in all the 2.x-3.x roms that have used your custom theme.
The only reason why I am point this out is because it doesnt fit in with the rest of your theme and someone else might perceve it as a "glitch".
Other than that I have not stumbled upon any other problems, its great rom like alwase
damn, just finished installing 51909... whats the fixes for this version? the all people button working?

Is the Old Manila extracted from the latest 5.0 WWE ROMS or is it older??.
perfect work
Some people are never satisfied!!!
He does not post the ROM they complain.
They complain and BEG complain and BEG for the ROM, so he post the ROM early they complain of small bug on a Overall smoking build
He fix the bug, Post a new thread to keep the crap out of it, still they complain and re-adds the crap; then complain of needing change log ( HE SAID HE WOULD POST A NEW THREAD TO RELEASE THE ROM WITH THE FIX INCLUDED IN THE LAST THREAD) what more change log is needed?
NRGZ; Thanks for the continued efforts BRO!
Thanks! Just made my jump to 6.5 and this is fast!
One thing I've noticed is that Internet Explorer doesn't work? Can't connect to any sites. Opera works fine.

|July 4|RAPH| .¸¸.·´¯`·.¸¸.-|Energy| 21916|29022 - Sense 2019 / 2.1 / Titanium

Welcome to the "EnergyROM" thread !
This development thread is for my "Energy" custom firmware series for the HTC Touch Pro (Raphael) device.
The current build numbers and date can be seen in the title of this thread. I usually update the ROMs about twice a week, as new builds come down the pipe or as new software/updates are available.
I build my ROMs with four main goals.
Eye candy ( I want my ROM to look great and for it to all flow together nicely)
Speed !!!
Smoothness, consistency and good aesthetics
Stability through private beta testing before public release
I pre-configure a lot of things in my ROM, because when I flash it on my phone, I want it ready to go. So, expect the backlight to be set at the maximum brightness, the ringtone, sms/email and other notifications to already be set. Doing it this way, makes for a nice ROM that's ready out of the box.
I recommend learning to backup your settings with either Sashimi or UC (User Customization). Backing up with SPB Backup or similar products, is NOT recommended, as they tend to backup the previous release's registry/file bugs as well!
Looking at the download folder you will find two core versions of my ROM.
The 21916 Build which is the most reliable, fast and bug free release. It has the Start menu button at the top left corner just like a stock ROM. I recommend you start with this first!
The 29022 Build that's the latest in the 6.5.X series with the Start menu button at the bottom left corner and big softkeys. These builds reflect the latest cutting edge technology from Microsoft. These are also much more finger friendly throughout.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You can stay up to date on the status of my ROM development by "following" me on Twitter.
It's definitely the fastest way to get in touch with me and please don't be afraid to tweet me if you see major issues with the ROMs.
I generally do not answer "support" questions on Twitter, as it's really not the proper medium for that. Service packs and quick fixes will always be released as links in my tweets and that's definitely the fastest way to get a fix for a ROM.
To follow me on twitter, click here!
If you own an European\Asian Touch PRO, use the "Keyboard Selector" application under Utilities > Tweaks (after you flash the ROM) to select the "Pro" keyboard layout. The ROM comes with the american AT&T Fuze layout enabled by default.
This post features all the Cookie Hometab based ROMs I make.
The original ROM is the "energy" version and that's a good starting point. All the rest, are themes applied to that ROM.
They all come in two versions, Cookie 1.8.5 and Cookie 2.0 (the ROM filename will be labeled "Cookie" and "Cookie.2.0, plus the name of the theme)
You can see more screenshots of these ROMs a couple of posts down.
The two Cookie versions look pretty similar, but Cookie 2.0 has multiple sliding homescreens/freely moveable widgets (similar to Android) and
quite a few more features and speed, however it's still in 'beta'. Cookie 1.8.5 is considered the less complicated and stable build for now.
My own 'Energy' style
This is the best ROM version and the way Sense should have been designed by HTC
Offers the biggest customization ability out of all versions. You can add/remove bars or items on the homescreen, arrange items any way you like, plus lots of extra features
Three built in lockscreens. "HD Mini" style, Manila style or Windows style
3 pages of quicklinks with a configurable amount of shortcuts displayed
3 Homescreen layouts to choose from, as seen in the above screenshots, all completely customizable !

Dinik's "Anastasia"
This ROM series is skinned with Dinik's great "Anastasia" theme applied on everything.
Everything has been skinned, including Sense, the start menu items, the soft keyboard, parts of the dialer... etc
_LeCiel_'s ".sencity"
This ROM is themed with the .sencity theme released by _LeCiel_ who is a very talented artist ! Please support his work if possible.
.sencity is not %100 complete yet, but _LeCiel_ is working hard on finishing his work to completely skin the entire ROM.
Link to the original thread for this mod is here > Click <
DJC & Bobsbbq's "Touch Of Glass"
This ROM series is skinned with DJC's "Touch of Glass" theme throughout Sense and the Start Menu
More will be skinned as DJC continues his work on the theme in the future...

ElCondor's "GTX"
This ROM has the white GTX theme applied
Android styled taskbar, matching dialer, matching start menu background and Action screen background
GTX is a total reskin of the operating system, so expect a very different (white) experience

'Standard' ROMs that have no addons installed on the homescreen. Stock Sense 2.5 !
'Energy'
This series retains the stock functionality of the Sense UI. The files have been compressed by "CFC" compression. making the UI lighter and faster
This ROM still retains my theme and style, plus all the regular apps you find in my ROMs.
There are no homescreen addon-ons in this ROM. The best speed and the most stock functionality.
MaxSense UI (android style homescreen)
This is a complete rewrite of the Sense homescreen, by maxycy.
It features a 3 screen, Android style, homescreen with widgets! The widgets can be placed ANYWHERE on the three screens.
75 Quicklink accessible on all tabs
You should really visit the original thread for this mod shown on the next line to see all the features!
Link to the original thread for this mod is here > Click <.
Titanium (ROMs for raw speed!)
This is a minimal ROM version without Sense in it. It's used primarily for people that like to customize the default 6.5 homescreen (Titanium)
You can use it to install alternate homescreen interfaces like SPB Mobile Shell, etc
Very low memory footprint and good battery life, but very simple and lacks a lot of features that you would otherwise have available in Sense...

ROM features at a glance:
Very fast startup time. You won't find any startup wizards in this ROM. You'll be up and running in a couple minutes after flashing the ROM and ready to go. No need to spend time to set everything up.
XDA_UC is built in. It will import your custom XML and REG files from your storage card after first boot.
My own Settings Exporter application is found in the Tools folder. Use it to export all your settings after you customize the device. When a new ROM comes down the line, use it to import everything and save time.
Everything is setup to use the phone right after flashing. Sounds, notifications, all options, etc
The HTC Messaging client is removed, leaving the windows built SMS client for much faster texting, but still able to use a nicely skinned Sense text messaging app with "iphone style" messaging bubbles.

Please do not trust your livelihood to something you have not tested, running on a custom ROM, built on top of a beta operating system with a UI ported from another device!
If you depend on it, test it first. After finding a version that works well for you, I recommend keeping a personal backup. That way if you flash a newer version and problems are found, you have something to restore to.
When you download a ROM, it is a compressed file, such as 7Z or ZIP.
If you cannot extract the ROM from the archive, get a recent copy of 7ZIP or WinRar.
Do not post about a bad archive without doing this.
==================================================
WHEN POSTING / IN GENERAL OR A QUESTION OR REQUEST FOR HELP
1. Post which version of the ROM - Sense 2.1, Sense 2.5, Cookie, Max Sense, Titanium, Max Manila, GTX
2. Post which windows version - 21907 or 23569
3. Accurately describe the problem. For visual issues, post screen shots. Shake And Save is included at Start->Tools
4. Wait at least 1 or 2 days, if not more before resposting. I personally read every post in this thread. I do this on my own time.
5. Describe things you have tried.
6. Provide step by step actions to reproduce when possible. Such as: Go to message tab. Press icon in upper right to start new message. Not: Start a new text message. Why? There is more than 1 way to do most things. Not all ways lead to problems. Provide your specific way to reproduce it.
7. Thread title might show a later date than the available ROMs. Here's why - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=7137062&postcount=26583 so, don't post about it, unless it is more than 2 days later than the thread title and there aren't already posts about it. BASIC TROUBLESHOOTING
"Please remember that there are a lot of variables here and the ROM is just one of them. You may have any number of the following issues:
1) a bad flash
2) an application incompatibility issue
3) a simple settings problem
4) a large RF source in your pantsIf several people all determine that they have done XYZ and have problem ABC it may be that our chef can do something about it. Until such time, you have some troubleshooting to do. Namely;
1) Check your settings, sometimes, that is all it takes
2) Reset and test again
3) Hard Reset and test again
4) Flash the stock ROM and spend a few days noting the behavior as you add your software
5) Flash an NRG ROM and use it a few days without adding software
6) Start adding software until the problem occurs." ==================================================

BATTERY SAVING TIPS
The first few days
• There is nothing special about this ROM to make it use more power than other ROMs except that it is tweaked for performance over battery life. After things have settled down, you should get a couple of days usage out of a charge.
• Immediately after flashing, you will probably observe very poor battery performance. This is due to the charging circuit having to reset itself.
• The battery meter will not settle down and give accurate readings for a few battery cycles. Give it a few days.
• For the first few battery charging cycles, try to charge to 100% with phone off and then allow battery to drain down quite a bit before recharging. This is so the meter will calculate drain well.
Recommendations
• Make sure you followed all of the flashing instructions to the letter. Especially the part about the hard reset.
• Backlight is set to high. You might want to change that.
• 3G is on by default. Recommendation is to turn it off when you are not surfing the internet.
• Don't drain your batery all the way down until it dies. Not good for these types of batteries.
• The GPS sucks the battery dry. If you want to keep track of yourself, consider something like GPSToday that only wakes up the GPS once in a while.
• Maybe you don't really need aGPS enabled. Disable and check GPS lock times and battery drain.
• Applications that run from the storage card consume more power so install oft-used or background-type applications to main memory.
Troubleshooting
• If your radio does not match your rilphone.dll you can get crazy bad battery drainage. Use the recommended radio or spend some time working out a good combination for your phone/carrier/location/usage.
• Check to see that some application is not still running in the background. Check, do not assume. USe the full Task Manager application.
• Check to see if the screen is still on when you expect it to be off. Soft reset can fix that issue.
• Some radios work better with some carriers and locations. Asking everyone to tell you what radio to use may not give you the best answer. Be specific about your situation.
• More stuff you should see HERE
If you have tried all the above and still can't get over a day with moderate use, you may actually have a bad battery. Try getting a new one that is made by another manufacturer.

SD CARD WOES
Several people have reported problems with Class 6 SD cards. This is not limited to this ROM. Seems the hardware is finicky. Try Class 4 for better results.

New Known Issues with current ROM
Phone settings from 6.5.x build are missing
Link to solution posted here.
Known Issues with current ROM
Remap of PTT and Long PTT don't work. Create a short cut to the apps you want. Name them Long_PTT.lnk and Short_PTT.lnk. Copy them to the windows folder.
Or install and use Tarkim's RaphKeyboardMapper and create a rule for PTT (Long and Short).
23xxx series does not use the HTC Volume Control. This is true with all 23xxx ROMs for the Raphael. 2 solutions. MarcLandis Volume Control located right here on xda-developers.com. Another great solution is VolumeEx, but it is trialware. I think it is only about $10 to register. It gives some really cool features, such as restoring your volume after a specified time. Perfect for meetings, so you don't forget to turn it back up.
Minor Known Issues with current ROM
1. Music shuts off when you play with no headphones and then shut off the
screen with the button on top. Not an issue when playing through wired headphones or A2DP devices. Also, not an issue if you just wait for the screen to shut off.
2. 23xxx series ROMs don't rotate apps through the G-Sensor. There are 3rd party apps to handle this, such as ChangeScreen or Gyrator. (I have nto tried Gyrator).

Note: AT&T send limit is 600k or 614400. AT&T recieve is 1MB or 1024000.
AT&T and probably T-Mobile do not require changing the settings to send an MMS.
Setting limits higher than what your carrier supports will result in a failed send or receive.

I personally flash nearly everytime NRGZ28 relases a ROM
In other posts, my signature includes a link to a post that has links to most of my experiences with the more recent ROMs NRGZ28 has released.
Here is that link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=4878560&postcount=11037
With some flashes I post my XDA_UC on that post I indicate if I posted that.
My Twitter:
XDA_UC FAQ
The XDA_UC cooked in my ROMs is modified from the stock XDA_UC made by Noonski. Great addon, by the way... Noonski did a great job with this !
The version in my ROMs is trimmed down to fit the needs of my ROM series.
Some of the extra features are:
It will copy shortcuts (.lnk files) found in \XDA_UC\Start Menu\ to the device's start menu folder (\windows\Start Menu) in the hierarchy that it finds on the storage card. For example: Let's say you have a navigation package on the storage card, like Navigon. If you make a shortcut to the navigon.exe file as Navigon.lnk and copy it to \XDA_UC\Start Menu\GPS\ as "Navigon.lnk" then on a fresh ROM install it will copy any shortcuts it finds there to the same location on the device, so it'll end up in \Windows\Start Menu\GPS\. This works for other folders on the Start Menu as well. Just put the shortcuts in \xda_uc\Start Menu\ in the folders you will like the shortcuts to appear to, on the device.
It will copy a custom splash screen from \Storage Card\XDA_UC\welcomehead.192.png to \windows automatically and overwrite the one in the ROM.
It will copy a custom Sense background found in \Storage Card\XDA_UC\sense\wallpaper_sense.png to the device and set that wallpaper as default in Sense. So rename your wallpaper as "wallpaper_sense.png" and drop it in \Storage Card\XDA_UC\sense\ and on the next ROM flash that wallpaper will become your wallpaper in Sense.
Other than that XDA_UC works as designed by Noonski and it will do the following things:
It will automatically import your PPCbackup (*.pib) file found in \Storage Card\XDA_UC\
It will install custom XDAS scripts found in \Storage Card\XDA_UC\
It will silently install CAB files found in \Storage Card\XDA_UC\
It will install special CAB files that require user input (such as Agreements or any type of prompt) found in \Storage Card\XDA_UC\SD
It will silently import REG files found in \Storage Card\XDA_UC\
It will silently install REG files found in \Storage Card\XDA_UC\Exporter, as exported by my own Settings Exporter, ONLY if the "automatic" file is also present in that folder (and it most cases it should be, enable that option in the Settings Export application's menu)
It will silently import XML files found in \Storage Card\XDA_UC\
It will silently import CER files (usually Exchange certificates) found in \Storage Card\XDA_UC\
It will silently run custom MSCR files found in \Storage Card\XDA_UC\
That's it, but don't forget to checkout the Addons folder and look in the XDA_UC section for tips and tutorials on how to export your email/wifi settings and various little .reg and tweaks you can add to your XDA_UC collection.
As always don't forget to check what installs automatically before reporting a problem with the ROM. Most of the time, if you notice you have a problem that nobody else is experience is because one of the cabs you dropped in the XDA_UC folder is installing automatically while you don't even think about it.
Absolutely awesome ROM! Your hard work and dedication is greatly appreciated....

VERY nice! One question:
creating a new SMS-with other ROM's I could just start typing in the "to" field and it would automatically search my contacts. here i have to hit "enter" which brings up a contacts list then type the name. Is this a setting i can change or a bug?
thanks again...GREAT ROM!!

I hope this is the right place to start this thread!
Omnia II, Diamond, HTC HD, Axim x51v...hmmm...does it work in other resolutioin like WQVGA or QVGA? Looks nice...
hi...im a big fan of AndyZap GPS Cycle Computer...and use it on every occasion, while on the go. unfortunately development seems to be abandoned . so hope you will get best of it and follow his high standards... will watch that development closely.

I think it does... although I've not tested it on a real device of other sizes yet.
Please do feel free to try it and let me know
the touchHD is wvga and navmi does almost perfect on it.
Switching between apps does bring the winMo taskbar back into the picture tho and consequently that covers part of the function buttons.
Not a major problem.
Tho I did click the winMo 'Ok' button (top right taskbar corner) once and navmi asked whether I wanted to proceed, as logging would be canceled. After clicking 'No' it canceled anyway, toughy...

I'll take a look at the switching thing - that doesn't happen on my Omnia when I use Samsung's cube button task switcher thing. What are you using to switch on the HD?
As for the "No" problem... I've just checked the code and it definitely should work OK...
I use Quickmenu to replace the regular startmenu and following your comment I switched back to regular and indeed, no more winMo taskbar pop-over... good stuff!
Wow, been after something like this for ages but havent got round to looking! Will try to get to grips with it before my next snow boarding trip so i can see how far i rode!! Good work!!
HollyWolf, are you the coder of this?
Also, add Samsung Omnia to the list of working phones. Works fine on mine.

Excellent - thanks for letting me know
Yes, I am the coder - I've taken AndyZ's GPS Cycle Computer as a start, merged in lots of code from Runsat and am loving writing code
What use using to write it in and with what language?
Also, is there a "how to use" guide at all?
Cheers
Almost all written in C# compact framework - 2.0.
There's no manual yet - so best to write here or on navmi.com if you have a question.
Thanks hollywoof, sure am gonna try this!
Looks great - gonna give it a try!
thumbs up +1
hollywoof, will there be an option to import kml or gpx files in the future? Would be nice if I could add the runs from RunSaturday to navmi. This way I have totals on my Omnia.
Installed it, looks very nice. Will test it soon while running.
I'll have a play in a bit on the HD2, pity it's snowing so much, I've not got a chance to get out in the velomobile to see how accurate it is.
One thing that is missing from gpscyclecomputer is a seperate EXIT function..
Using winmo 6.5.x versions (with the bottom buttons) you cant close the app, short of using a secondary taskmanager, so if you can include something along those lines (not tried it yet) then that would be great (and future proof it a bit).
I'm intrigued by the lapfunction, how is it going to work? I've tried a couple of other ones in the past, that haven't been quite as obvious as could be.
Especially when racing, I tend to find that pressing something is a no-no (especially cycling at 35mph and above on a 440m velodrome yo can lap quite quickly) and some of the others don't seem to realise that when you go past the place you started logging then that's the end of the first lap.
anyway, glad to see someone has taken on the basics of andyzaps app looking forward to seeing how it progresses.

Thanks
I've written the GPX/KML code for course following (similar to the GCC's implementation), but I'd not thought about syncing all activities/the totals that way - maybe I'll give that a try! I do want to sync photos in as well at some point.
As another alternative I was considering writing a separate runsaturday app...
Thanks for the feedback - you're helping to make the app better

You should be able to close the app by:
- " - pausing the activity
- square - stopping the activity
- home - go to home page
- exit - exit
- yes - I really want to exit
But maybe that is a bit too long winded. I'm mainly testing on 6.5 (Omnia II) so I know it works there...

The autolap currently goes off measured distance - you can set up the autolap distance in the settings for each sport and then the just laps whenever it measures that you've reach the distance.
From personal experience of athletics tracks, I doubt you will get very good performance for cycling around a velodrome - it's just not a nice track for GPS to estimate distance... the estimation errors really build up around the circle :/ For example, I once did a 6 hour track race (normal 400m track) - and my Garmin 301 was almost 10% inaccurate compared to the lap counter. Some of this was due to me not always taking the inside lane, but (looking at the recorded track) most of it was just down to nasty GPS readings. Surprisingly that 10% was an overestimate, not an underestimate. In more normal runs, I think I'd expect my Garmin to be 1-2% accurate?

I've now seen this too... looks like a winmo/compact framework issue (as the code looks right) - I'll look into a workaround to fix it!
How do you import map files?? I can't find anything in the prog nor do i understand the folder structure in the maps folder?

By default navmi uses downloaded maps from an OpenStreetMap server - as selected under Settings->Maps - the default is a fairly easy to read Navmi format served from CloudMade.
If you want these to download live during your ride, then on the "Plotting" page, choose "Auto download maps"
Personally, I tend to download maps offline - before I head out running - I'm on prepay! I do this by connecting to the web over ActiveSync or WiFi, starting an activity (that I never intend to keep), waiting until I get some GPS lock, switching the display to the map page and then scrolling around the UI to download all the areas I want to.
This OSM format maps is the main direction I want to continue moving forwards - it's easiest (requires least effort!). When you use this the structure in the maps folder is split up using zoom levels, then latitudes -it's a structure that's easy for navmi to read, but it's not a structure you want to play with yourself!
Beyond OSM, navmi also supports (adapted from the GCC code) a couple of alternative ways to use maps. To use any of these other methods, you must:
1. select "off" on the Maps settings
2. do not check Auto download maps
3. use File Explorer to ensure that the navmi maps folder is empty
With these 3 steps done... you can create your own maps using your PC - see instructions in line 547 and beyond in http://code.google.com/p/gccv2/source/browse/trunk/GpsCycleComputer/Readme.htm
I know at least one person is currently using GPS Tuner .gmi files with navmi - if you are, then please feel free to post with advice.
Hope that helps - sorry it's a bit long winded!
