Why do you want to convert it?
If you want to dump the contents search for the kitchen already posted in the forum.

i was trying to learn how to use the tools and create my own rom for rw6828. i know there is couple of cooked rom for rw6828 out there, but i am just trying to learn how to do it from scratch.
yes, i can dump the file with the kitchen tools. but why is it the file size of imgfs_raw_data.bin (65mb) is much bigger than the one in the .nb0 file (57mb)? Or maybe atom life rom is not suitable for this.

i think i can drop the idea of using Atom life rom fo rw6828.

DUMP ROM

Hey guys,
im abit outa my usual field!! I have a hermes!
I was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of a kitchen that works with the prophet os.nb, i need to dump and run PKGtool (if there is a prophet equivalent) but the most important thing is that i can dump the OS.nb.
I have been looking throught your forum and wiki, and they are very limited (compared to the hermes), i have google searched and found faria's kitchen, and the one in the sticky on the WM6 section but these only allow buildos.exe
I need to dump a prophet ROM so i get a DUMP folder. can anyone help me with this?
(appologies for this post)
thanks for your help in advance

in most cases you can just rename the OS.NB to nk.nbf .nba .nbh or what ever you need for hermes... I usaly to it the other way around or down load Core Proffessional Kitchen by anichillus

Atom Life Simplified Kitchen - Sdh

Okay. As requested by sdh, this is the simplified Scoter Kitchen for Atom Life. This will only edit the IMGFS section of the ROM. The ROM file is FLASH.DIO
To dump:
1. Place ROM file FLASH.DIO inside \ROM folder
2. Execute Dump.cmd
3. \OEM & \SYS folders will be generated
I have inserted the XIP contents for you, so you don't have to worry with XIP. It's from the latest official update of Atom Life.
To build:
1. Execute BuildOS.cmd (requires .NET to work)
2. After the entire process, your new ROM will be found in \FLASH folder
You can use this to dump other ROM from other devices, BUT you have to learn how they dump their files by going to the device's forum. Most of them are encrypted unlike the Atom series, and may require tools for decryption.
Also, a slight modification of the BuildOS.cmd, DumpFiles.cmd and XIP content will make this usable for the ATOM and ATOM EXEC.

Btw: Your Howto for ExtROM Cooking is working perfect.
Maybe, you can update the Atom Wiki with your Howto's ?
I think an well documented Wiki is the reason, why the HTC Hermes scene was growing up so fast and that'll be good for the Atom scene too.

You have to download the Atom Life ROM separately. These are just the tools.
I made this simplified; so, we can install it anywhere we want.

i only need to replace the attached file into the official xip.

hi hang tuah,
i have tried those already. it doesn't work.
by using the methods you suggest, you have to use reloadnls.exe together with the methods or else the asian regions will not be shown.
i have searched and read quite a huge amount of data and threads and the only way now is to replace the wince.nls directly within the XIP. this will ensure that after building the rom, the asian wince.nls will be effective. i need help on how to edit the xip.bin file. once edited, i can add it back to the os.nb.payout file.
i have tried dumping the official xip.bin file using xipport, but after replacing the wince.nls to the asian version and rebuilding xip.bin, flashing, the device will hang at the boot screen.
i might have miss out something else. but i dun know what i have misses out..
i need help here.
So in this case, u want to make full XIP port. U may find one low-profile guru named Akadonny. If u r lucky, he will teach u every single twist

[KITCHEN]S200 AUTO COOK&PORTING ROM kitchen with guid!

I hope i can help u learn how to cook rom and makes it more easier!
1.Structure OF THE KITCHEN
ROOT OF THE KITCHEN-------
dump----> This will contan files dumped from ROM,like OFFICIAL ROMS.
OEM---->This folder contans all the OEM DRIVERS and OEM software
ROM\XIP\ ---->contain boot.rgu,don't mod or del it!
SYS -------->SYS of WM build
SYSNEW ------>TH SYS OF NEW version of WM building u will proting
temp ----->temp files, and ROM files u cooked are here
TOOLS --------->All tools that ness for cooking
XIPNEW ------>NEW XIP of WM version.there are two styles:XIP.BIN and MSXIPKernel.u can porting them by choose correct method in my bat command
reg&iniflashfiles_tools ------->Tools to edit reg files and initflashfiles.
HOW TO:
1、IF u don't want to Porting new version of wm and u just want to mod ,u can dump OFFICIAL rom.
TO DO:Place official ROM in root of kitchen, run "dump ROM.bat" and follow the instruction.when finished,u will find OEM AND SYS in DUMP\DUMP.Move them to root of the kitchen.and move xip.bin in dump to root of kitchen and rename it to xip_out.bin.Now,u can edit softwares in OEM and build as u like by run"Build ROM.bat"
2、IF u want to cook new version of WM build, just down load new SYS AND XIP file form somewhere like DFT.usually,u may only need these parts:COMM,COMM_0409,WVGA_COMM,WVGA_COMM_0409 and XIP.
UNZIP COMM,COMM_0409,WVGA_COMM,WVGA_COMM_0409 to SYSNEW folder,UNzip MSXIPKernel form XIP to XIPNEW folder then run"Build ROM.bat" and follow the guid.
Download:
F1_AUTO_KITCHEN.rar
Thanks for your kitchen, I will try it.
But I doubt that will the xip will work normally?
I think it's better to add some commands to delete the rubish during room cooking.

THis kitchen can dump any rom? Even custom?
I tried but porting new SYS don't work for me. I ran Build ROM.bat and choose 1 for porting new SYS and after it wrote "The system cannot find the file specified."
Cook'in failed!
After dumping, I can't ound OEM folder in dump\dump. It seems that the programe delete a lot of files and folders dumped in dump\dump at last.
By the way, the last command in the batch file doesn't work over Windows 7.

Can I just cut the five folders with the names started with "OEM" in folder "...\dump\dump\SYS\" to folder "...\OEM", then move the folder "...\dump\dump\SYS\" to folder "...\"?
And then, how should I edit these files and folder? Such as add a font.
