Hi,
Just flashed my Touch Dual to cooked Rom from Tom (Niki Project). However, i found that i can't turn off the Encryption in setting. The encryption checkbox will still remain checked even i uncheck it and press ok.
Anyone also encounter this issue? Thanks.
Nobody having this problem? or everybody just leave this option enabled?

my wifi cannot auto reconnect WEP AP after resume,but works fine with open or WPA AP.

If you shut down your device (Hold the power button, not a soft reset) the settings should be stored and kept for the next time you connect. Are you using a shipped ROM or a cooked ROM?

As said, turn the device off and on, or at least hit the ower button, or turn the WiFi off and on

All of the WM6 cooked roms that I've tried have this problem. On/Off or disconnect/reconnect works, but it is a pain. So far nobody has fixed the WEP reconnect problem.
As there is no official WM6 ROM for our Prophets, I don't know if that one would function correctly on this part. As far as I have heard, every cooked ROM suffers from this mischieve....
Still no fix? I've been having this issue with every unofficial rom.

Are you really still having this problem with the newest ROM's? Most (perhaps all) cooks use native Prophet WM5 drivers now, wich give a solution for the WEP reconnect problem. They do lack WPA2 support, but you can't use both WEP and WPA2 at the same time, so take your pick...
i have a problem with wi-fi on my atom exec...how could i resolve it??
i can't ever turn wi-fi on..but if i check it with self diagnostic it pass the test...
is the a sort of commandline to enable it?or maybe a tool to use it??
i open wireless manager, press the Wi-Fi button..and it loads for about 30 seconds..then it remains disabled and i can't press the wi-fi button anymore..i have to quit out the wirelessmanager and re-enter in it to press it again..but is ever the same..

hi sir, im also using the rom from Abusalza. so far no issues with wifi. try soft reset. if that does not work, try the suggestion of kray_zie, i.e.: hard reset.

I am not able to start wifi on my device. The wifi button in Comm Manager resets back to off position whenever I try to start it.
I tried to change the ROM and radio, but I am facing the same problem with each ROM and radio.
Please help me solve this problem...

Here`s how i managed to solve the same problem on my t-mobile. I don`t know if the problem was caused by RegistryWizard of if the little program actualy helped me to solve it. Anyway, i have it installed by default with my Crossbow ROM and i discovered that when i untick the "Enable 802.11g(54Mbps)" checkbox, the comm manager alows me to enable the wifi afterwards.
However the option magicly enables itself after a while and i have to repeat the process all over again since i`m too lazy to try and find out what causes this and fix it for good So good luck and let me know if it helped or if you found another solution to this.
This can also be caused by having the wrong version of Comm Manager on your device. Be sure you have the correct version of the Comm Manager on your device and see if this helps.
i do know that this is a problem when you just write a new rom to your device. DO A HARD RESSET vill solve your problem.

It's definitely a software related problem so pls help me. I've been trying to fix that by my own but I don't know where to begin to fix this. That all began when I used the normal Stock Rom. Currently I'm using an unofficial CM11. The system change didn't change anything. Quite annoying...

Is your Wifi mac address unavailable,if yes we have same problem,i tried flashing new kdz,and changing numerous roms but problem still persist.
Can you go to system/etc/wifi and see if you got nvram.txt file,mac address is stored there,if that file exist maybe we can fix it

sorry for answering that late. I've been busy a lot so I didn't have time to care about my phone.
So I just looked up what you said and I didn't find that .txt-file. What i found are several .cfg-files. My ROM is CM 11 Unofficial, if that helps you in any way. My problem is that i cant't transfer any files from my Phone to my PC.
My phone keeps opening apps on its own specially when I make a call.

- Is this a hardware issue (with the touch) or a software issue? I have tried factory reset but no change
- I have the stock rom (found from internet), would formatting the phone and flashing via flash tool help? Would a standard rom from internet work or cause GSM signal issues?
- How do I make the backup? via CWM?
Looks like problem is hardware. Like somebody touch screen. If this was software problem, then factory reset helped. Simple apps can't simulate touches. Are phone rooted?
Go to Settings > Developer options and enable in Input section "Show touches" and/or "Pointer location".
