Freeze problem after ended call - G4

Hallo everyone, does someone has an solution for my problem.
Everytime I make and then end a phone call the s200 freezes and I have to soft-reset it.
It looks like a problem in the phone software.
When I get an incoming call and then end it then I have to wait for a minute and then finally the phone program closes.
When I try to close it myself it freezes just like when I made the call.
I haven't found anything in the forum section.
Device info:
ROM 2.26.10.2
radio version 02.19.21
protocol version 4.1.13.09
ExtRom version: 2.15.13.121
Hope to get get some help, greetings Froggie

I get the same problem. No solution.
I installed MS Console recently, and also made some tweaks to the phone settings via 'advanced configuration' tool. could that be it?

Qtek 1010 phone problems

I have a Qtek 1010 64 MB:
ROM version 3.16.13 ENG
Radio version 3.19.01
Protocol version 32S54
I'm having the following problems with the phone:
1. Sometimes the device "hangs" when I'm making a call. It freezes completely, forcing me to perform a soft reset.
2. When I'm trying to call a phone that's busy, I don't get a busy signal. Instead, the connection is just dropped.
3. Sometimes my phone is unable to receive calls even though it shows a full strength signal. This also happens when I'm in areas where I know that the signal actually is very strong.
4. When I return from an area with no signal (eg my local supermarked which is in a basement), the phone does not regain the signal without a reset.
I've searched the forums and seen that other poeple have experienced similar problems, but I've not found any solutions. Does anyone know how to fix these problems? Would an upgrade of the radio stack solve any of them?
Try to update your phone bios.
The latest radio version is 4.21.00 and rom version 3.17.03
or try to install xda spec. edit. 1.2
Do you know that an upgrade will fix any of the problems? Or should I just try it and see what happens?

Applications in ExtRom that will kill yr WM2003SE

Dear all,
I have tested the WM2003SE (Version_2.06) for some days now and finally found out that one (or the combination) of these extra applications in the Extended Rom will surely KILL the phone functionality if you ever happen to soft-reboot the device while in landscape mode. Here is the list of suspected incompatibles.
- BTPSKeyUpdate_003
- cm_rm_map_o2_v3
- CprogHook.WM2003_2577
- DelAddStarMenu_092404.sa
- delshortcut
- LoadDialogInit_MS_10150402.sa
- startmenu_103wwe
I am absolutely sure that one of these will cause serious device hang once we ever happen to soft-reset while in landspace, but I'm not sure which one. So if any of you have these software installed in version 2.06, please try your best to aviod reseting while in landscape.
BTW, if you happen to know any of these software's intended uses, please also let me know since I"m not sure whether removing them can cause malfunction in other areas. Thanks
Hi there,
thanks for the alert. But i don have the problem like you said. I soft resetted my 2.06 more than 10x in landscape mode but still no reset/hang/idle/trojan virus.....
Guess i'm just a bit lucky!
BTPSKeyUpdate_003 - cannot cause hang. It is used only once just after hard reset
cm_rm_map_o2_v3 - some O2 customisations. May cause hang.
CprogHook.WM2003_2577 - my program. Conflicts with some programs and may hang your device on boot (device simply stops responding to keys/stylus). To check this - delete \windows\startup\cproghook.exe and reboot. On most of devices it works fine, but have problems in landscape mode.
DelAddStarMenu_092404.sa - ?
delshortcut - ?
LoadDialogInit_MS_10150402.sa - this is a patch for 2.20CHS OS. Should not be used on other ROMs, but it should not hang your device.
startmenu_103wwe - ?
I've seen that removing SD-card during boot helps sometimes.
did any one faced this?
it happend twice!
my phone shows good signal reception but when some body calls in it will say "can not be reached" like it is off or no signal!
and i also can't make phone calls at that stage!

i have tried both radio stack 1.14 and 1.18 and i happened in both.
now i am trying radio stack 1.14 from ROM 1.72! it seems it is not the same 1.14 from mamaich rom. by using hex editor i found that mamaich radio stack version is 1.14a!

Yeap, your suspicious is very true. Both of them are different. But how different is different would need mamaich to answer how he first got this radio stack!!

HELP! Anyone lose phone ring after SE update? HELP!

Just upgraded per DCS's instructions and am most pleased with the SE upgrade although my radio shows Radio verison 1.14.00 so I am hopefully assuming therein lies the problem.
I get no phone ring I've tried all the ring options from vibrate all the way up to ring to vibrate then ring, etc. but everytime I try to call my cell phone it never rings on the phone just eventually goes to voice mail. Anyone have any ideas or how to upgrade JUST the radio version to the current 1.18?
My PDA information if this helps is:
TMobile MDA II
ROM verison 2.06.00WWE
ROM date: 06/14/04
Radio version: 1.14.00
Protocol version: 1337.24
ExtROM version: (this has always been blank even prior to upgrading)
Thanks in advance for some input.
Don't be serious.
Firstly, you need to make sure that sound problem occur with ringtone only
What about system sound ? if it's fine, problem must be in ringtone only.
If it's ringtone problem, you need to check your Ext ROM about MIDI.cab file(use extended ROM viewer or extended ROM unlocker)
If it doesn't have MIDI.cab, try to use my attach file.
Secondly, if problem not occur only ringtone, try to flash ROM again.
If you still need radio ROM 1.18, you can use search to find radio1.18 posted by mamaich.
or just simply you may try flash with ROM 2.06 from http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=13588&start=0 (look at mamaich comment, he provides ROM 2.06 file)
Hope you can fix this problem.
Nope not the ring tone. System sound works fine and can test ring tones in the Phone utility. All sounds work as expected with the exception of course of the phone ringing when a call is received.
What's odd is I can hear in my BT Jabra 250 headset the ringing to answer it but the phone never rings or vibrates. I also get a notification that I missed a call but once again never a ring or vibrate.
Tried reflashing the ROM via Sin's setup twice already but to no avail. My unit now shows but the problem is still there.
ROM version: 2.06.00WWE
ROM date: 06/14/04
Radio version: 1.18.00
Protocol version: 1337.38
ExtROM version: still is blank
Are you using Wisbar Advance? There is a problem with this preventing the ring tone in SE devices.
I've also found that mine (2.06) doesn't ring while in landscape.
As a matter of fact I just upgraded to Wisbar Advance 2 (paid for it to boot) and I've noticed that if I don't exit Wisbar then I cannot rotate the screen without corrupting the screen.
I just reflashed and ring tones are working fine. I will continue installing my apps and test a call after each installation to determine the problem. But since all my apps have worked fine with the exception of WisBar then I think you hit the nail on the head.
I will install that shortly and see what results I get and report them here.
Thanks
Wisbar Advance 2 kills phone & corrupts screen in WM03SE
Well after two days of reflashing my PDA and trying to narrow down the problem the good people at XDA.Developers forum suggested the problem could in fact be WisBar Advance.
How right you are. The solution after two days and half a dozen reflashes was to simply remove WisBar Advance v2 and all is well again. This after purchasing what looked to be a fine upgrade to an already outstanding program.
Problems to be aware of with Windows Mobile 2003 SE Phone Edition using WisBar Advance v2 are the following:
1/ Loss of phone ringing
2/ Corrupt screen when rotating
If those two issues can be resolved then this will again reside within my PPC. Now to work on getting a refund since this has been a nightmare that until my refund is issued is still ongoing.

SMS Problem after ROM 1.72 upgade on i-mate PPC

Hi all,
recently upgraded my i-mate with:
ROM version: 1.72.00wwe
Radio version: 1.14.00
and when trying to send sms, getting the following message: "the phone is not ready. wait 15 sec and try again".
The same message gettig when trying to make phone settings.
Does anyone have ever experienceâ the same problem, please help!
THNX!
Yup
You should really wait that long before you do anything to the phone. If you wait too little you'll end up wating more time as the timer seems tto reset whenever this message is shown. If you wait 30 seconds then everything is fine.
If you got this message after waiting several minutes when there might be something wroong with your flash. Mayby you should try a never radio stack e.t.c.
It takes a little getting use to, unfortunately.

Problem solved
If somebody is interested, I have solved my problem with reinstalling the upgrade. Empty PDA doing well until restoring backup. After back up, the same problem occurred. Then I did the following: hard reset and one by one installation of all programs that I had before. After each installation checking for any problem with sms. No problems so far.
Are yoy restoring a backup from a orevious version of WM2003? If so, this may be the cause of the problem. THe bacup process is known to restore a lot of system files along with your data and that can sometimes cause problems.
Steven
I had the same when I upgraded to 2.02 rom version, but left my radio version to 1.08.
I upgraded to 1.18 radio but I was left with a bootscreen only.
So I again burned the thing with 2.02 and 1.18 and everything was fine (except sms notifications)
I guess its an incompatiblity between your rom and radio somewhere...
This happened to me once... but what's really annoying is when you received a message, sometimes you'll see the pop-up message icon at the upper part (near the time and speaker). But on the today screen message, it doesn't appear to have a new message. Does this happen to you guys? This is really annoying...
i have a problem after the update to 1.72WWE
the problem with the SMS reports !
the device don't recieve them !
why?

I have not installed it. I only downloaded it. I have no idea what is new. My guess is that the OP has not installed it either because he was sure of the language. How do I upload?
Uploaded to our FTP:
ftp://xda:[email protected]_1.31.305.2_1.31.305.103_1.20.31.10_ship.zip
editing the wiki now....
Language is english (WWE), it has bootloader 1.06 which will prevent you to flash any other rom unless you have one matching your CID.
Radio version is 1.20.31.10 which seems newer than any other rom.
Still missing information about OS build / AKU, rom date, and protocol... first person flashing it please update the wiki
ROM flashed, WiKi updated.
P
Can the radio version be extracted and uploaded? Would be nice!!
English language, ugly i-mate telstra bootscreen, nothing overly exciting in build to report - still AKU 2.3.
P
i was hoping aku 3.0. i guess i'll just stay with cingular v1.31 with aku 2.6
Now all we need is for someone to crack the HTTupgrade exe so those of us on the cingular ROM with no official carrier ROM to downgrade to can upgrade to this one!

I have a trion.
so i can update with this rom but after i can update only with the rom that have my CID?
thx
With the upgrade in radio, do you think my JasJam could see an increase in battery life considering the 1.16 radio absolutely destroyed my battery life?
Its looks like all the new roms are going to be 1.06, I would like to upgrade to this, but as I don't have a way back to 1.04 I will not risk it, as I don't have an original rom to go back to.
I hope we can find a solution for the CID in the near future to help.

This rom looks the same as the one I got with my Jasjam off Telstra ( hence the boot up screen) and its dated in my device 09/08/06 this is most likely american date format.
So the rom is old
i think this rom is for Telstra users only here in australia so its no different from the original rom from imate.....it only has a few extra operator settings under Telstra provider......Telstra here in Australia are the main imate distributors......
Telstra ROM
I've had this version running on my device for 2 weeks now as I bought the Telstra iMate JasJam.
I don't know about the previous ROM, but this one is terrible; my device will crash, hang or start working in a weird manner all the time...
The most common problems so far:
-Sound stops working, will only vibrate. This happen if you switch to silent mode, when you get back to normal sound mode, it stays in silence mode until you reboot. this doesn't always happen. can't reproduce it consistently
-BT turns off by itself once in a while, you have to turn BT on in comm manager
-The most annoying: If you have a data session active (not transfering any data) and a BT connection active (like headset, GPS), then you can't receive a call. The person calling you won't even get to voicemail. it just hangs up on them. if you disconnect the data session or turn off BT then you can receive calls again
-Switching username in MSN will often make messenger crash, you have to kill the process and start it again
-Sometimes will hang for no reason: you need to press the reset button
Then you have the GUI weirdness which make you think: what did they drink the day they designed this software?
Like if you receive a SMS, it will show you an extract of it at the bottom of the screen, you'll get off the following choice:
-Reply on the left soft menu
-More on the right soft menu with the option (delete, call sender, Save as Read, dismiss)
What if I just want to read the full content in the Messaging application? you can't.
If you select Mark as Read immediately it doesn't mark the SMS as read in the messaging application and you still get the notification in the top screen. You have to do "Mark as Read" twice.
Something I miss from my symbian phone, if you have a bluetooth headset paired with a unit (or your car kit) when you answer a call using the BT headset button, the call goes to the BT headset, but if you answer using the device itself, it doesn't go on the BT. This is great if you want to take a personal call in a car for example, and don't want your passenger to hear what's going on.
On WM5, you can't control that. it aways goes to BT if the headset/handsfree is set.
When the keyboard is open, if you tap on a text field, the screen keyboard will show up (and text half of the screen). Why show a software keyboard all the time when you have a full qwerty keyboard available !? Sometimes the keyboard doesn't show up, but I'm yet to understand the logic behind it. it's not consistent
And then of course you have some inconsistencies here and there, like the device will stop working as it did 2 minutes prior. You try it again: bank it works.
I wonder if Microsoft or HTC have any QA !
