Safest WM6 Rom

All,
i've tried several Roms in the last few months, and they all have their advantages and disadvantages. Each one has some nice applications and functions, which others do not have.
It's all fun to play with....but, with a risk: problems.
Unfortunately, my Prophet is also the one i must use on a daily basis for business use, so really must minimize the risk, i.e. freezes, lock ups, hard resets, etc.
Now the question might be a bit unfair, because we all have fun playing with the various ROMs, but, which WM6 is the safest ROM?
I mean, which does not have the following problems
Regular Freezes (occassionally is ok, but not regularly)
Hard resets (deadly)
Bluetooth not working
WLAN not working
Charging not working from USB or car or etc.
etc.
Again, don't misunderstand me: i have as much fun playing with the various ROMs as anyone, but the problem's mentioned above are starting to really bother me.
So, in the absence of someone telling me i must go back to WM5 (not!), which is the most robust WM6 rom?
thanks.

Your prophet is a QTEKS200?
It is a Neo (O2)
I think the best thing for you is to use WM5 since there are too many known issues with WM6 on the prophet. the most stable ROM I've personally ever used was the shipped ROM from the manufacturer. Otherwise, you should have a good idea of what wm6 rom works for you since you've already tried them all.
I agree with Yellow. If you have to depend on your device for bussiness purposes, don't fool around. If your budget can carry it, find yourself an other for fun!
well, to be fair he only said he'd tried several, not all of them...
I agree with you, though, people should stick with WM5 for now if you/your work depends upon reliable features and rock-solid stability...Having said that, IMO the later WM6's are getting pretty good, general consensus seems to be pdaviet atm although i found fantastic mobiz to be pretty stable too.
I'm also hearing good things about Gullum's efforts...
to be honest I doubt there will ever be a fully bug-free+stable WM6, but then what do I know?*
*answer=not much but I'm learning (thanks to this forum! Cheers everyone! )
i also got the o2 neo, and there are no problems with the newest WM6 RomZ witz freezing or WLAN or whatever. I suggest u try the newest touch releases 4.0.0.6 . if it dosnt fit your needs just flash back to original o2 release u can find on the o2 homepage. greetz vince^^

Just wondering if O2 has release an official english version of WM6 somewhere?
I am using my s200 for business to. But as the autor said is funny to play with our gadget. I am using now CrystalV4(personal).I will not say is the best rom here but is the best for my needs. Fast, not many programs inside(The programs are good) but i dont need them. I just want office-some util for maintance-Gps softare & some games.Cube also is great but after sometime it get boring.
So +1 CrystalV4

I use my XDA Neo for work related purposes, too. I use Crystal V4 for about 3 or 4 days now and I have had no problems at all. And it is a very fast and responsive release, too. So this might be worth a try.
My take
I have tried several and found gullm's Touch VIII to be the best allround. It hasn't locked up and battery doesn't drain away. Everything I use seems to work fine.
Touch IX is absolutedly problem free here.
Some beauty-glitches, but works, and is pretty darn stable. Just avoid soft-resetting too much (bootscreenlockup, i believe every wm6 has that now and then). I have a full spritebackup on my SD, so when things do go wrong, hard reset, sprite, and in 5 minutes full running again. Now, I don't reset anymore. And, in 3 weeks, I did not HAVE to reset either ... It happens about 1 resets out of 10.

Install a safe boot mode and you'll be able to bypass bootscreenlockup and avoid hardreset
Personally, i prefer Mysterious, its been so nice on my o2 neo. no hangup, no freezing, moreover its fast and stable.
but its totaly depends on your way of using prophet.
WM 5 is the safest but I have WM6 touch VIII and its been a few months with very rare soft resets. I do notice that you may also think it has to do with the rom but it really is the radio rom that is causing the freezes. My main rare issue is I cannot hang up the phone when it is linked to my car's bluetooth. This happens once a month.
Mysterious on O2 Neo- GREAT!
I use Mysterious on an O2 Neo with only ONE annoying problem - battery drain! The advantages far outweigh the disadvantages. Soon the Polaris (P3650) is coming to O2 Germany (called Orbit II) - and I will switch! Until then, my trusted Neo will bet there!
Cheers -
i was using touch 8 for a while then contemplated on whether to upgrade to touch 9, but after following the thread, opted for crystal v4.
v4 is running quite fast & stable at the moment. no hangups or anything.
haven;t tried mysterious or pdaviet at all, so can't really comment on them.
Most stable ROM
Personally i found that Prophet Touch IX is the most stable ROM i am using the same PDA as yours O2 XDA Neo German ROM downgraded to Aku2.2 and then flashed Prophet Touch IX and the device is working fine so far no bugs i have encountered (( i have been using the ROM for about 1 week now )) .
I've stuck with Touch VIII and had less problems with it than IX. Generally it's very, very good.
I prefer Crystal V4 with 4MB pagepool. Runnin SPB PocketPlus 4, HTC Cube, HTC Home, QuickMenu, S2U2, BatteryStatus, Lexisgoo/PocketMusic/SPB Insight/SPB Time/SPB Diary - all integrated into PocketPlus
And stil have 24.5MB of free RAM after loading them all up after a soft reset (and then closing all, ofcourse)
I haven't restarted my fon for 4 days now. And now hav 18.6MB after using IE, ActiveSync and many other pgms.
Its a solid ROM too... thanks to HMA for keeping it clean so that i could fill up wat ever I want

[Q] Various questions after a week of using the HD2

Howdy!
A week ago I switched to this lovely device. I almost can't remember how I ever survived without it.. In any case, I'm very satisfied, as it's a huge upgrade from my previous SE X1.
Now, I've been heavily involved in the X1 modding community, so I know my way around WM. For the HD2 some things appear to be different, so I'd like some help!
FYI I'm using NRGZ's Energyroms; currently using the 18-08 build (winmo 6.5 with cookie hometab sense UI). Probably upgrading to 25-08 soon.
First of all, I'm trying to set one of the hardkeys to rotate the screen for me. For the X1 there was a specific app, doesn't work on the HD2. Thus, I tried the well-known AEB Plus. Alas, whenever I map a key with it, the app automatically maps every hardkey to that function (it got really funky when I tried to change my volume, my screen kept rotating like crazy).
So, which app/workaround best to use for the HD2?
Second, I'm noticing quite some battery drainage. I've flashed a different radio to ensure that Android would run properly as well (and it does, yaay!); but I'm not sure which ROM works best when it comes to battery life. I've been poking around the Radio ROM thread, but haven't yet found a conclusive answer. Did anyone do some testing? Any reliable results?
Finally, I'm noticing that movie files often still play a bit choppy. Now I know it's very much possible to run them completely smooth with the snapdragon's power. I've tried Projection's HD video encoder, but that came out even worse (or at least played worse, with both WM player and TCPMP). Which format works best for the HD2? Can you guys advise me a freeware converter?
I'm sorry for the long post, but thanks ever so much for taking the time to read this far. Cheers!
Hi there,
For the first question i have no clue havent tried that before
for Andriod i know tthat your ROM has to be 2.08.x or higher i used 2.10.50.26 wich worked pretty well. There are some new Android builds with less power drainage but still the consumption is a lil high
for the last part i havent found that out yet
Ok, in the energy rom press and hold the call key to rotate screen, as for battery drainage in android it a work in progress I use shubCRAFT latest build battery is quite good about 55 mins per hour in standby l. I use the 2.11 radio and energy cookie rom.
Don't know if it makes and difference but I put Wm in aeroplane mode and disable sencse before I boot android.
Get on the shubCRAFT forum and install his build its rapid and is almost perfect
Htc Hd2 vodafone UK
Can't remember what avi player I uses in Wm because I haven't been back for a week android is very very stable and puts Wm to shame. However rock player in android works perfectly for me. Get to shubCRAFT man also it has a busy and helpful forum
Htc Hd2 vodafone UK
Thanks for the answer, both of you.
I guess I'll try and upgrade to a later android build, see how it works. Could you give me a link to a good android build? The one you experience to be most solid?
As for the radio, I'll upgrade to the newest and give it a go, I guess the best way to find out is to simply try it.
The energy ROM thing doesn't work for me, I'll upgrade it to the latest. Thanks!

[Q] Issuess with Dusk Ultimate 2 HD2 WM 23569 v6.0.0 CHT v2.0.0

I changed my hd2 rom to the one mentioned in the title. But it seems that im the only one having issues with it. I contacted grzegorz about these as well, but he told me the same thing. So... im hoping that maybe someone will share their ideas in fixing these.
- When i go to "landscape" view, all menus except "today" are "cut in half", so i cant see whole screen.
- When i turn on sounds on my device, vibrations turn on too! which i don't want too! Plus when i get the message vibration is so long that it only annoys me and i end up turning off sounds at all! so the vibbie dissapears too.
is there a registry entry to turn off vibrations at all? and where?
- Dusk was ment to be much faster than other official roms, whats strange, except more ram and lack of "not enough memory" notice, its slow as hell.
I realized that my SD card was broken so i exchanged it to other one. so yea.. its faster.. but still not even as fast as my first 1.66 rom i got with the mobile.
If i would know i would never change my rom...
- Whats most important, after changing to DUSK ULTIMATE my HD2 seems to NEVER go into HSDPA mode, which makes my internet UBER slow! its always in Edge or 3G which obviously sucks hard!
If any of you have any, just any ideas! please let me know! i really like the looks of the rom but... it seems its not working for me!
and yes, i already hard reseted my device several times. its no use.

[Q] WM6.5 1.66>3.14.405.2 - better?

Ive been running andriod on my phone for a while now (mattc Leo + Froyo w/Sense 1.8) but the data dropouts and battery usage is starting to annoy me..
The windows ROM is on 1.66, I have just noticed a update avalible - Is there a big improvment in this? Windows was always slugging for me and the text messaging lag drove me mad. I cant seem to win here!
So, is it worth it? Has the SMS lag stopped?
Thanks!
There is a thread on 3.14 and from what I can gather there are bugs still remaining I would stick with 1.66 for a while yet.
usually latest version had lot of improvement, i take not lot of time trying stock ROM, since i use it a while before flashing cooked ROM.
Android is working great on our HD2, but it's consume a lot of power rather than WinMo. I'm not stay to long with Android, i miss my WinMo, so battery performance
In my experiance it is not, after trying out the 3.14 Im back to 1.66,will try cleanex ROM today.
BTW I didnt like the Android either,I have tryed over 7 ROMs so far,but to me WM does whatever I need and+.
Ok - thanks for the replys - ill stick with andriod for now!

Searching for naked/light, but stable WM6,5 ROM

Hello
I bought a new phone, so I come from Kaiser on HD2.
I'm looking for ROM, something like the ahmedfikry's Kaiser WM6.5 23659 light ROM
Naked, but stable ROM, for HD2.
I use almost komplet Resco and most od SBP software.
Until they don't have software for WP7, i stay on WM6.5
Any suggestions ?

Not trying to say 6.5 is the fastest thing on Earth here, but...
I have been flashing dozens of ROMS, on this forums for years (from the first T-mobile MDA) and by now WM 6.5 got really neat and fast - especially on HD2. Compressed Sense without unneeded tabs and extra pages in CHS 1.8.5 or 2.0 is really fast from boot (well WP7 might be faster here as I hear) to everyday use. Add here 3d accelerations and multiple well known tweaks like cache size or even overclocking etc... It is actually faster than I expected. Unloading Sense and using Titanium is very fast indeed if you need/use basic things only. True multitasking use for things like Putty for openning a SSH tunnel and then remote desktop connection and Opera internet connection using that SSH, while listening music in Sense player is quite smooth. HD2 performs fast and its multitasking works great - I got much more stuttering in different Android ROMS (SD btw) while simply listening to the music and surfing.
Now I believe Titanium only ROMS (Senseless) must be even faster and if you put SPB or other GUI on top of it - it should perform OK.
WP7 is fast on HD2 but I still find too many rough edges to use it every day. I will certainly test it and I hope it exceeds my expectations both in speed and usability. (Android btw is mostly OK, but I simply cannot use it as a no.1 OS)
Cheers.
