Yes, this is the official sprint 6.1 update with 3.42.02 radio. Non sprint customers can use it to flash the radio only (if you can't via sd card), but again CAN'T let customizations run. Non sprint customers will have to wait until the custom rom is released.

Just flashed - Here's a couple of first impressions, in case anyone's interested. Speed of the phone and internet are about the same. Booted up with appr 20 mb free. Not sure I'm in love with the new larger start menus - Takes up too much screen real estate. Also, there's something funky going on when you scroll - The icons toward the bottom of the screen sort of flash. One MAJOR change is the GPS - When I used radio 3.39, it took from 30 seconds to a minute to connect. Now it took about 8 seconds...Inside! Well, like I said, just first impressions...

It's just a different layout. and different login. It's ask for your name and email loging in. And you can get pull up an address from your phone book if you have their address in the contact. Does that make sense? lol. It's just like att's now. If you've ever seen that one.

it appears sprint didn't fix the kernel bugs with this one.
i.e. some commonly used apps will give access violations. maybe this is actually a new security feature?

If you are not a sprint customer do not allow the above flash to boot when u hit the calibration screen u must put your device into bootloader mode and flash your rom of choice.

Assuming this is for verizon. Phone is unlocked with Olipro 2.40, but have been waiting to figure out whether those with problems just aren't flashing right, or whether there are real problems with 3.16. List looks good and I'd be willing to try it- any chance of adding vzw wireless sync?
Im down to build it in if possible just need the .cab I am a exchange user so I never even thought of it I may actually have the .cab
EDIT: Got wsync grabbed from ext rom building it now then I will test it if nothing else I can make it install on a post.

Hey -- once you get this bad boy going with your kitchen. I would love to get my hands on it too. I am Sprint here as well.
Are you on the new version currently? Are you having any data load (EVDO) issues? Mine were so bad I finally downgraded.
But now I feel lonely and want to join the party again if I can get the data to work correctly.

Ok I tried to build in the Wireless sync and I got it in but I am getting connection issues the wsync cab seems very entailed I am thinking a post installer would be best for use with that particualr program.
Will make it with a post and upload shortly.

lol...thankfully i haven't had the same issues with evdo...however...i did do an ota after i loaded up the new rom....start...setting...phone...menu....option....setting...internet....get settings...run iota....that usually reprovisions the internet to get working

Not having any data issues as of yet about to make the sprint version for u guys.
Yes this is the latest version with GPS working I have verified it in TomTom iGuidance and google maps.
Ok I got W.Sync working via post install without a problem will post link in first thread shortly.
Also uploading Sprint Kitchen as we speak for those who asked. - No OEM's

this just coming from myself, im not sure how Nexvision feels, but at this point there isnt a kitchen stable enough to release publiclly. my kitchen that ive been using is basically hacked together, i have a lot of extra steps right now to get it to build my custom roms that ive been releasing, and im not sure how clean nexvision's kitchen is, especially if it is built off my rom as soon as a good kitchen gets put together, im sure someone will release it

Yeah -- trust me -- I did the same thing.
Over the course of the last 3 or 4 days, I have probably loaded and reloaded my phone no less than 6-8 times. Playing around and doing test. That is why I knew (maybe ignorance really would have been more bliss) that the data throughput with 3.16 was was worse (at least for me) then with 2.17.
But -- ohhh how I really liked 3.16. Seemed much more stable. And DCD's build (although did have some bugs) was really nice too.

true...well...theres clearly something 'stable' enough that a couple of people have pieced together a rom (like you have apparently)...others (such as myself) would like to build something to their own liking (similar to what you've probably done and nex...and a host of others) but are not as 'sophisticated' to piece all the parts accurately (i've tried...but i just can't quite get it)....now i'm sure you may feel a little uneasy ("...especially if it is built off my rom....")...but do allow others to possibly benefit from dudes like yourself and nex and a host of others...as you have probably benefited from others whom you put your kitchen together by......i absolutely can't wait for a stable rom kitchen (which we'll all be using soon i'm sure)....till then...lets all eat

well, like i said, i have to change something different each time, and try flashing a lot of times to get a stable rom. my rom may only be on r3, but i have made at least 25 roms, 22 of which didnt work in some way or another. Just give it a couple of days, or maybe nex's kitchen is clean enough to release. im not super experienced, just enough of a hacker to piece a kitchen together and get a rom put together. i am working on making it carrier independant right now, and that is the last major step for me to release mine.

Looks like the apache kitchen. Which reminds me how slow that PPC used to be. Then last night, I was playing around with the Touch. No keyboard was horrible, but it was so much faster. Didn't suffer from memory problems. If only the Mogul had 128 MB ram...

Ok, have you used this to build a rom for the titan? it only builds for apache, one good thing though, I'm able to get updated and new oem's which I'm able to use in DCD's kitchen.

I have been following this it is supposed to eventually be a universal kitchen for multipple devices, checking it out tonight perhaps they have included the titan now.
Yup, looking at their main page they are thanking No2Chem for the titan kitchen, looking to see if I can find it now, perhaps DCD will be releasing his a compatible version of his kitchen, he and No2Chem seem pretty tight.

Damm, finally got back to my PC after the updater finished and alas....... IT IS NOT FOR THE TITAN.... When I read the read more section, down at the bottom I saw it say No2Chem for Titan Kitchen and bout pissed myself... SORRY to everyone who got too excited by my overzelous post........

Damn, that sucks. I went and got all excited... Really the only functionality I want from that is the ability to change the boot & splash screens.
Just recently coming from the 6700/Apache camp I can tell you how much I MISS the Apache kitchen. It was nothing short of a ROM addicts dream...
I got kind of spoiled using the kitchen and the Apache. Yeah, the 6700 was a somewhat limited device compared to the 6800 but it's the Kitchen that really made it compelling and seriously, probably kept it going for so long (and still going...)
Hopefully the Mogul development will eventually get there, but for now you can always dream....
i actually just spoke with gguruUSA and he said that the noChem's titan kitchen has been implemented, but the only delay is with the release of the new official rom, so they're working to make everything compatible. So, hopefully soon we'll be cooking roms apache style.

Actually it was there. I downloaded it. As a matter of fact the HTC website changed the available down load several times within the last few hours. First the rom is there then its not. It was showing 3.35 for a while then it was 3.03 then it was 3.56 now it shows 3.35 again. I give up. All I care is that I got the SPRINT 3.56 rom directly from the HTC website about an hour ago and now I look like an ass for posting I did.

They are the same -- I managed to get the file directly from HTC yesterday, but have been using the one DCD uploaded for us for weeks... no differences.
I was wondering if anyone here has successfully integrated (OEM'd) their carrier cab into DCD's Kitchen.
I'm trying to do it with 3.2.4 (fixed most of the bugs), but it doesn't do anything other than import the registry entries and create the EPSTLab link. (Verizon Carrier Cab)
The carrier OEM's were taken out of the kitchen after 3.0.4 and made into the carrier cabs. Your best bet is to just stick with the carrier cab. Is it that hard to install one cab after flashing? If your response is "Well, I have lots of cabs to install after flashing...", then my answer to you would be...USE UC

Yes, all carrier OEM's were included in kitchens 3.0.4 and before. They were removed to make a generic multi carrier rom for everyone. Before, there would be a link to the kitchen, then links to pre-cooked roms for every carrier...totalling around 50mb each. Much easier to link the kitchen and one pre-cooked rom, then just link small carrier cabs.

1. MMS was removed completely because it's not an OEM package.

Hmmm so with that being said I should most likely quit using the OEM from 3.0.4 I know you just rolled your eyes. By the way, I still OEM MMS and other stuff. Guess I need to come out of the stone ages. But then again I just finally upgraded from 3.0.4. I just liked it so much with the configuration I ran and it was soooooooo stable.

Hmmm ya, I'm not one who needs the newest software. Normally I let yall fix all the bugs first . I know all about UC and have actually helped a few friends with theirs but I just never ventured off onto my own UC. I'll still probably wait for 3.2.5 before I do anything. Then will most likely allocate on of my cards just for flashing and UC.

First, it's the ship rom, not beta. Second, if it was my choice, it would have been posted for everyone on the day I got it. I will not leak it without permission from my source, and as of now, I don't have permission. Also, nothing from it is being used in any of dcd's stuff until it's officially released or I get permission to post it, so put that rumor to bed.
I can however say that with it comes a new version of Arcsoft that will work for both Verizon AND Alltel. It's build 5.0.70.24 and NO it will not work on Sprint, so don't bother asking lol. It also includes a built in application to turn threaded messaging on and off and a new PRI 2.03_002. It obviously includes EVDO Rev A support.
I'm not going to go into great detail regarding GPS, but all I'm going to say is...though the potential is now there, it's STILL going to be some work to get it to work like Sprint's, and may not even be possible at all...but we shall see. You can all thank Verizon for that.

if i have .cab for my programs can i just extract the cab to a folder then put that in the OEM folder for the kitchen and have the kitchen build with all my progs? does it work like that or is there more to it?

If you look at every new kitchen post, you'll see posted right at the top under features, UC Compatible, with a link....looks like someone doesn't read the kitchen posts...

Worse case just do the SDConfig.txt file with all the cabs you need to install and you are more than half way there to where you left off on the phone.

First of all this is not my file, and I could not test it because I don't have the option to download the file. But it looks legit at first sight. So I share this with you guys. If anyone with a paid FileFactory membership would like to test this file I would be very happy.

Is this the same radios and rom image that is currently on the devices that are already out and about, or something newer?

The RUU is completely uploaded now and I have pulled the rom.zip from the RUU as well.
The rom.zip is indeed encrypted, as has been every Sense4+ JB RUU that I have seen.
I currently have someone I know looking through things to see where the encryption(extra bytes) are and where they are removed or how exactly it's all going down.
I have faith in the fact that I have asked the right person.
Depending on the outcome, will determine what gets posted.
If anyone would like the RUU posted for now, I will be happy to post the link for that.
Can't wait until my DNA arrives....

radios not sure, but based on the build number it is what came on the phone i received.
your name looks familar, you didnt happen to do a tonne of tweaks and themes and pretty much everything elseover on ppcgeeks for the touch pro 2?

i still have that running on my touch pro 2, using an energyrom
to get back on topic, keep us updated on what becomes of that ruu, would be great to have a rooted stock to flash
