Help - MDA II, XDA II, 2060 ROM Development

Could anyone advise me, I have Vista on my laptop, I use Ms mobile device centre to sync my xda2 (works well enough), I would like to upgrade the xda2to WM6 from pc2003se, would I be ok using vista or should I use my lads xp laptop with activesync?
What pitfalls are there using vista?

Not too sure on the pitfallss but as you have access to a PC with XP on it best suggestion is to use it.

Any MacUsers around?

Is there anyone who's using his XDA with a Mac Computer?I'm using mine with pocktmac(for synchronisation with Adressbook and iCall). But ow can I install software into my XDA from a mac?
Any suggestions??
Jay
Copy the cab file directly to the device and run it from there. AFAIK you can't install without a PC where there is no cab-file option. You might be able to get something working in Virtual PC, but hey, who knows
How is PocketMac? I'm considering switching, but considering I review Pocket PCs and as such need to install lots of programs / make heavy use of synchronization, I need to know just how competent this solution is. Damn Microsoft for not making a Mac / Linux ActiveSync!
Mac
Don't know yet.Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.Most of the time it works fine...
It's a real drawback that you can't instaal from the computer....
I sync my XDA on my Mac (still os 9.2) with activsync through Virtual PC 6.0 and W98 and it works fine.

Activesync 3.7.1 sync. problem on windows 2003

Hi All,
I use Windows 2003 Server as a desktop os :!:
After upgrade Windows Pocket PC 2003 and Activesync 3.7.1, I have a strange problem.
I can synchronize my xda only once at a time. When I take xda from cradle and put it on again, I can't get connection. Nothing happens.
I have to kill activesync process and then reopen it from start menu in order to synchronize my xda.
What I did in order to resolve this problem:
- hard reset xda -It is not because of xda because I test it on another computer there is no problem
- I uninstall activesync, delete all folders and registry entries about it and then reinstall it. Problem still continue
- Delete partnership and recreate it. no,no, no
WM 2003 4.0.11
Radio: 4.21.0
Is there any other workaround?
Thanks for all of your advice....
Baris
Have you tried completely removing all traces of activesync, rebooting the desktop, then reinstalling it? Sometimes works I believe.
Yes, but unfortunately no change. :?
Also I want to specify that I use office 2003.

X7500 Avatar in Windows Mobile Device Center

I have a puzzle to solve. I have 2 Vista computers, both running vista Ultimate, both with WMDC 6.1. One of the machines shows the correct picture for my X7500, both in WMDC and in synccenter. The other one uses a generic picture, and apart from this also has difficulty connecting to the PDA.
I have searched the registry for the correct entries, and why this difference exists, but have not been able to find this out.
Does one of you maybe know where to seartch to resolve this issue, in other words, where are these avatar's In registry?, or in Windows? Help would be severely appreciated
I have the same problem

Windows live calander

Ok guys maybe someone can help me, I am running the latest Stock 6.5 rom, my boss has just got a new Windows 7 phone and is now forced to use Windows live Calander ect instead of outlook. Because of this he wants to share calanders through windows live, but there is a problem, I cant because I am using outlook.
Is there a way to do this at the pc, and allso is there a way to do this away from a pc as well, I need to be able to share calanders .
To be honest this s really pissing me off because microsoft have really forced pple away from outlook and forcing pple to use a windows 7 phone and windows live, this really is a poor choice for Microsoft, I cant talk my boss out of using live because he is tied to his new phone.
Viewing live calander on opera mini 5.1 just throws error codes at me.
Thanks in advance.
