Black will be back for the Raphael. Ive had time off from xda-devs (busy with career and simply drinking) but now as soon as the Raphael lands in my palms you will also get your hands on the dark flavour of HTC rom development.
I wont be releasing ROMS on a daily basis, but more sparingly with the latest releases and of course surprises. Once a ROM is released, feedback will be gathered over a period of time before a revision is made available. Lets remember to also use our devices for what they are for, and that is not flashing them everyday unless you are extremely bored.

Black was the first rom I flashed. Can't wait to see you tear it up again.
I spoke to Telstra yesterday and the rep said they have Diamond on stock now. He didn't have any info on Touch Pro yet. I don't know if I can hold on much longer.
JJ, do you know when Touch Pro will land Oz? If it is soon, I will wait. Otherwise, I have to jump to Diamond instead.

Seriously. There was only one really stable ROM for Kaiser. Q-mobile 1.2 and then he vanished... Maybe Q-mobile was really Jas in disguise? eh?
Jas you should make a ROM for AT&T Tilt to give the US people something good to work with until we get a Touch Pro over here.

I almost agree with you. I loved Q-Mobile 1.2 too!
But I guess you've never tried udK Vega ROM, it's as stable and fast as Q-Mobile, but it's a WM6.1 ROM.
You should really give it a try!
On topic:
Today I reveived my Touch PRO, waiting for the first cooked ROM to flash!
If the performance will improve the same as with a Kaiser cooked ROM, my Raphael is going to be very fast!

Hey there boys!
Now that HMA4 and Gullum has moved on, and therefore we don't see that much activity in the WM6 forum for prophet anymore, do you think it is time to get a new device ? Ofcouse it isn't if you just want to use a prophet but i mean if you want something that people are developing roms for, something for us flash o holics..
And.. Is there any chance that we will see more wm6 roms for Prophet? I honestly don't think Prophet Touch X is gonna come, as gullum has a hole new device, then who would actually develop anything for a old device ?
Just wanted to hear what you think.. And if anyone experienced cooker reads this please contact me as i need some help doing some few things..

Everything has an end I guess, and this end has come for our dear Prophet.
I'm glad to say that it has been one of the best devices I have used, the next device im switching to has got to have a VGA screen, it is more attractive and better looking.
I hope that the end isnt anytime though, all we can do is still hope that some ROM cooker emerges in a magical way and takes the legacy Gullum and hma4 left.
I wish I wouldnt have to say, Rest In Peace Dear. :*|

Year its sad about the prophet.. I would really like to learn to cook, but there isn't many who can or will take the time to teach me..
But year.. The time for the prophet is over.. What VGA device is currently on the market ? Others than the Universal i haven't seen many
i went to see simple touch at my place the thing is it had same speed and cube worked the same way ,infact my prophet had album feature which single touch didn't have ,i do not know about dual or kaiser but they would be the same too.except for size of single touch i think its time to wait a bit more ,it money versus features balance ratio i guess and there is nothing super bug free ,i just hope htc have improved on answering machine softwares and call recording ,cameras ,which infact are gone way better on symbian platform from 4 years back onwards,that way we can't get everything in win mobile only ,time to change could mean time to keep an alternative platform handset too along with prophet.

Nowadays HTC has no real improvements imho.
Latest Prophet roms are (almost) as good as recent official ones.
Kaiser is great (and heavy too) but lacks VGA or other things that compensate the price and size.
Touch = Prophet (more or less, so save your bucks)
Unless you're waiting for HSDPA, I see no need to change.
And if you consider to change now (and I don't, I don't even check other devices hehe), Samsung F700 (no M$ os) may be an tempting alternative. Or Imate, Toshiba, even Nokia.
Prophet is my first M$ phone and I really like it.
I also very very like this forum for apps and roms.
But I have got the feeling that my obsessive tweaking is somehow result of the os, which I consider not mature and buggy.
I think that the fact that M$ /HTC just refuses invest in updates for such an expensive device is a modern form of slavery.
So don't give in: Don't reward HTC for delivering phones without proper firmware-support by buying another (expensive!) new device from HTC.
I am eager to find out how long I'm able to stand up to my own opinion ....

If I was to go for a new phone, it would have to be with these improvements:
- VGA or better screen
- Prosessor much faster that Prophet (I now run mine at 277 mhz without problems, can watch whole movies without glitch.)
- Much more ram and rom
- Smaller and maybe lighter
- Better connectivity
- Dedicated 3D graphic card?
- Large battery
I would also appreciate the device to be brain controlled, but you can not have it all...
My point is that the Prophet is ahead of its time, and today there is no tempting alternatives.

I've got TMI (too much information) on these pages. I love updating my phone but now I can't figure out what my next option or options are. I have the Sprint Mogul with Mobile 6 professional (CE OS 5.2.1622) and I installed the new ROM - 3.16.651.0 with radio 3.27.00.
I'm interested in going to the next level but what is that? Also, I want only stuff that is pretty stable - does not have to be perfect but I don't want to loose main functionality.

Check out DCD 2.2.xx ROMS in this forum, I use and love them. I have been using ROMs from here for a long time, on my Axim and Elf, now on my Titan. Got to love the build quality and additional options they give you.
I recommend a DCD ROM as well. Wait for his next release (next after 2.2.3) as there is a bug that should be fixed very soon. You won't be dissapointed.

you want basic....stable....not many progs....go with dcd
you want basic....stable....some decent progs...go with nexvision
you want a little more advanced....alot of progs....go with colonel custom rom from ppcgeeks.com
all are good...i use colonels currently...after a little modifying and setting up on your behalf it will probably be the best rom to use until we get a kitchen and create our own personal roms...
the other two are cool...but they have the same low memory as a phone with many programs....and some core things that I like were taken out that jus made the phone...well....boring....
so its up to you...and what YOU like.

I am really new to making alot of upgrades and understanding some of the language. Can I get my Mogul to look like the screen in you profile pic, or possibly to get the HTC Home application so that i can get the Touch options such as weather, time, etc.

yes all you have to do is get the homeplug cab that was taken from the touch. i also would recommend the htc touch dialer so you keypad is easier to do. Just search for them. they should be on this site

once you get the htc home to your main screen you should be able to just click on the sun icon and have an option to update your city

I have used both dcd's and No2Chem's most recent roms and found them both to be great. Those guys are amazing!
Currently I have NexVision's Hybrid on my mogul...based on a dcd2.x.x rom (think it's 2.2.6 but not sure) and loaded with other useful apps, it's one of the better "dressed up" rom's I have found in my short time.
Big Ups to all those guys for sharing and helping the rest of us to learn!!

Where did u find colonel rom? I searched ppcgeeks couldn't find it. is it base on 3.16 rom with gps enabled?

Ditto here.. Altho some of the others sound interesting.. The biggest problem with upgrading the ROM is you have to reload all the programs you want right? or hopefully I am wrong...

I recently upgraded from DCD 2.2.1 to no2chems' 2.0 (basically for the extended ROM access). What a great ROM, I highly recommend it.
Being able to access and use the 9MB+ of the Ext ROM is a huge plus. There is also a thread at PPCGEEKS (when their web site works) that explains how to automate the loading of your favorite programs from EXT ROM when you flash your phone.

New team coming to town (larsa). We will create a new ROM (ANTI-AP-LARSA).
WM 6.1 OS from the new advantage 7510 will be the based on. So you don't have to wait for the AP team to release their ROM next year.
Screenshots will be released this weekend.
We're also converting a cube for 96dpi use.

Damn, youve nicked my idea, my wife is a degree qualified software engineer, and after me persuading her to help me, she is looking into creating a rom to my specifications that i was also going to see if i could release before the AP team, No disrespect to them, but its taking way too long with not enough information on whats going on, i think they have taken on too many other projects like the shift and others, and the ameo has taken a back seat now

Podarilla is the second version of my unrealesed application called arxidila (from an ancient greek word), and it's a special gift for here.

You can release your ROM too. Like the other pda threads, (artemis for example) there are a few ROMs to choose the most suitable for you. So here why we have to be depended on AP team???? AP 3 was very good, but anti-AP will be better!!!!

I was hoping that snapvue will be tweaked to run better and not a memory hog that it is right now. Sort of a merge between snapvue and htc home. Alas, the AP team will only be using htc home + I think manila(this is where I live, Manila, Philippines.) If you can tweak the UI to something like snapvue and ilauncher/clauncher or htc home comebined into 1, I would most appreciate it.

Have you seen "the pirates of the silicon valley" movie? MAC was a XEROX clone, and WINDOWS 1.0 was a MAC clone.
Symbian is a .... clone and WM is a xxxxx clone, AP ROM is after HTC ROM, and BEFORE... and.... endless history.
The lesson learned is: EVOLUTION , be always the SECOND to someone (or to yourself FIRST release), and you will win. Never sit down, proud to be THE FIRST or THE ONE!

Anti-Anti-AP ROM Platinum edition Project (codename AAAPPP or 3A3P)
My Friends,
by being so amused with the AP discussion, I decided today to ask my wife if she can cook me yet another ROM, my personal Platinum Edition, in her kitchen.
It should do anything and it should be finished for release as soon as possible.
I'll let you know what's the progress with this exiting new project soon.

Well i believe i can finally make this announcment and say we have done our part in delivering the unlocks and roms and it was very fun while it lasted. our team has moved on to the newer vga and qvga devices. look for me personally to be in the touch hd forums work on roms there as long as i can get a device. as some saw my athena is for sale and if anyone is interested u can pm me or reply to the thread. was very nice knowing everyone and i hope to see most of you in the future on the newer devices. hopefully some of you will move to the touch hd and i will see you there.

AP4.0 BlueTooth Stack
It's sad to see you go, but it has been a long and fun ride. THe crowning glory for the team has been the release of AP4, despite all the troubles we've had with it. Michy is doing a stellar job in keeping our appetite's whet with his neverending ROM factory. I do have one final request if I may. The only thing that is keeping me from usin Michy's ROMs (or others for that matter) is the instability of the Bluetooth Stack. This was one area that AP Team hit on the head with AP4 Plat. Please, provide some guidance to Michy on the issue.
On a personal note, I may be following you to the Touch HD crowd when it does become avaiable.
Thank you for your great roms, wish you well and enjoy your HD.

Before switching to MichY's roms, I have been faithfully using your roms starting from PK 2 to AP4 for a very long period of time. All those roms ran fast and stable. Everyone of this forum will have the same saying as mine that "Your great contributions to this forum will never be forgotton!"

It has been a real slice working with you on the Athena project.We accomplished alot with it, and I am proud to be able to say that I was a part of it. I am currently helping Michy with his roms and still love my Athena.
Good luck with your new projects, and maybe we will work together again one day.

I think it's safe to say that among all ROM cooks for the Athena, you guys were the Top Guns and actually MADE the Athena a great and, at last, really FULL-FEATURED PDA-Phone, revealing its true potential. AP ROM evolutions will be sorely missed for those among us who have no plan to change their beloved brick any time soon.
Small wondering on my part: do you favor the HD, as compared to the Raphael, solely because of its screen resolution, or is there something else ? Because I myself am starting to think about which one I'd go for "if I had the opportunity", and I was thinking that a built-in hardware keyboard would probably be more useful than the VGA-WVGA resolution gap...

hd is closest to the athena so thats why. the screen is 3.8 and im going no smaller than the 3.5 in i have on my iphone. i love large screens then theres the 3.5 mm jack the hd has. i use the aux port in my car to listen to music from my iphone and used to from my athena. also the hd has a 5mp camera. with mp the sensor will be decent and bc of the resolution of the pics, most of them will look great on my laptop etc.. also about the keyboard... i been using on screen boards since i got my athena so im used to them and dont miss a hardware keyboard. specially with the smart keyboard on the iphone. wvga will just mean better showing of videos, better web browsing expirence etc..

i have a friend who has a x1 already(bengalboy, maybe u heard of him?). from what i hear SE is still developing the software for it along with htc. hardware though is pretty final but no final software from what i know. i wouldn't expect it until 09 specially if u want usa 3g. the hd i will try to get and see if there is usa 3g hidden within. if not i'll sell it and wait for whats coming out afterwords and get that.

no promises but if stuff in school calms down and i find the time i will make that come back tour i was talking about. going back to square one though and making a whole new kitchen if i do. lite and full rom. latest stuff from blackstone, raphael, and diamond. touchflo2d maybe. touchflo3d not in near future. also might be one rom only as im still looking into getting a blackstone.

Yo ltxda,ya giving me a hard on with these roms lol.Good to see the ap team on a comeback.I miss them days on irc waiting for ap4 and pre-testing,at the same time bashing on good ol' irus lol.Still trying to figure out building the cannon .God bless you ltxda,your daughters health,and the rest of ap team.

Thanks for your kinds words bro. We sure are on IRC. There isn't much activity for this yet in the public. Today I flashed a alpha ROM to my Athena and it booted fine, all is looking good for this project so far....but i never thought it wouldn't
We should be active in IRC soon with some more testing once we port some nice things over to the ROM. I can't wait. These newer builds, I'm hoping will make the Athena snappier and a bit more pleasant to use.
For now, let everyone know about the project so we can get things going again. I can't wait to see how the thread will turn up again. LOL

Thanks. Although we're not competing against anyone, I'm going to flash his ROM to see what it's about. Our goal is not to compete but to do the best job we can and hope that's enough.
We still have all our old tricks in the bag as well as a few new ones.
Still running AP4 and would be happy to move up if it looks good.

The problem is that I have updated my athena to a x7510.
Do you plan to make a versión for this model? Now that we have the HardSPL for the x7510 (thanks cmonex), we need good ROMs.
If you don plan to release a version for the x7510, would you give me authorization to port your new ROM to the x7510? (or at least to try it, because I'm quite new to ROM cooking )
