Hi there i'm from Cambodia!
I got the problem after finished upgrading rom. Everytime I've finished upgrading my prophet doesn't upgrade to the new rom. It's still the same rom as before(My old rom is wm5), and sometime it's appear only three colors.
Does anyone of you know why my prophet can't upgrade to wm6 anymore?

here looking after these Rome.
-- Qtek 2.20.739 GER, NVID
flashe it easy and (should work)
search then you the following things
-- SoftSPL
-- HardSPL
when you now without the SPL change want another rom-tuned want (WM6.1) use SoftSPL
-- Root copy
-- SPL Play
-- White screen
now connect USB and the right Upgrade_RUU.exe start (G3 or G4)
then about 10 to 15 minutes and wait for the new rom is installed.
You do not want any flash before the SoftSPL you can run on the first white screen and flash HardSPL.
Then, only the need to update / upgrades.
Download HardSPL and SoftSPL:

It is an original shipped rom. It TAKES A WHILE TO INSTALL,but it worked for me.

Now try some 6.1 roms.

yesterday i had my new Uk Vpa Compact 1605(Herm200) , with
Ipl 1.01
Spl 1.09
Os 5.1.461(Build 15671.3.3.0)
Rom vers. 2.07.161.1 released the 2nd of giune 2007
Radio 1.32.00.00
Protocol 32.65.7020.09W
At the end of the day i flashed Hardspl with new ipl 1.04 and spl 2.10
and new official Wm6.
now my questions is.. Can i reflash in my Vodafone 1605 all the original rom ,spl,ipl,radio, Os etc. etc. ???
If it is possible,where can i find all the file?

Ok..understand your problem and this is your first post and maybe you thought, "aah nice forum, He WM6 that looks nice, lets flash it on my device" ..Right simple ah? But..what you forgot..is to backup or read more about flashing..You cant reset it back to the original (what you wanna call it) "firmware"...

Well, this is not EXACTLY correct. Check out THIS LINK for downgrade directions. You will need to get the original ROM from somewhere. It is possible that it is HERE IN THE WIKI. Chances are that one of the files there has the same Radio, IPL & SPL. You will just need to find the OS, if it is not in there. (In fact, based on the specs, it looks like the third from the bottom of the English ones - Vodafone?) To flash, you will need dutty's good nbh tool to unpack the ROM, becuase you will need to do the IPL and SPL separately from the OS and radio. See THIS LINK for that info. If you don't want to get into all the unpacking, you *could* do the SPL downgrade first, then the upgrade, but it is generally good practice to downgrade SPL as a LAST step since you lose the hardspl protection as soon as you do it. Finally, use the google search link in my signature if you need to find anything else. Good luck.

Ok, tell me if i correctly understand..
I found the correct rom, after i have to unpack this rom with dutty's good nbh tool..(i have to remove Ipl & Spl?).
After the unpack i have to pack again the rom without ipl and spl and flash it in my Herm??!!is it correct? And in the end i have to change ipl and spl(is it a down grade?).
Last questions yet,
What i have to verify first that i start all this work on my herm to not brick my Herm?

I may have made it more complicated. That is the process I use.
Best thing to do is simply follow Mrvanx guides.
First downgrade the OS/Radio using THIS GUIDE
Then downgrade SPL/IPL using THIS GUIDE
That is all - as long as you have HardSPL, it is VERY hard to brick your device. So, do that last.

Yes. The only reason to remove HardSPL is for warranty. Just for clarification, there is no Hard IPL, only Hard SPL, but I know what you mean.
Basically, 99% of the time most of us flash we are only flashing OS or Radio. SPL and IPL don't change often. Most cooked ROMs are released as OS only.
Ah ok perfect, i'm not interested to the device warranty, because i bought it on ebay from Uk, and there is no warranty on my device, so i can only flash os without ipl and spl..

I have downloaded the rom that i need, but it is in .exe extension how can i extract from this .exe the .nbh file that i will decompile with dutty's???
2nd question, it's possible to downgrade radio rom? i put radio 1.51.00.10 in my device,but i didn't like it, because the 1.47 version
that i had was better of 1.51

No worries.
To unpack the exe, just use winrar and open it up. You will get a RUU_signed.nbh and an RUU. Just use the nbh file with the custom_ruu.
Yes, you can downgrade radio to 1.47 safely. No worries. I tried 1.51 too - didn't work out for me either. back to 1.50 for me.

Todd, thanks very much, i didn't know that with winrar was possible to unpack an .exe file,now i have all i need to flash my device with the hold or the new vodafone uk rom.

i have a G4 imate jamin
i upgraded it to wm6 evo8enbefore upgrading i used the instructions to first install RUU_Prophet_220734_2207114_024721_NVID and then upgrade to wm6.
my imate has changed into a QTECK (welcome screen)
but now that i want to downgrade and use the imate original rom i cant
it gives me error 296 (the nbf file cannot be used.)
i tried to CIDunlock using the wiki method.
when i run the downgrade.bat it worked fine and finished but when i soft reset to do the next steps (runnıng unlockcid.bat) my imate freezed and did not boot.
can some body help me on how can i install the imate orginal rom on my jamin again???????
By installing RUU_Prophet_220734_2207114_024721_NVID.exe you probably upgraded your SPL from 2.13 or 2.15 (i guess) to 2.20 and now when you try to downgrade your rom you receive that error.
I know because i did exactly the same thing with my first prophet but later I found dopod 2.15 . . . rom which didnt change my second prophet's SPL.
Now, since there is no solution (yet) for downgrading (unlocking) G4s the only thing you can do is: http://www.imei-check.co.uk/m600unlock.php. I havent! done that myself but someone sure has... Or you can try some other WM6 roms like Touch, Mysterious, etc.
Oh, and btw CID unlock is for G3 ONLY!!!
Maybe someone should update that guide so people dont get into these situations

my latest rom was Transformer 1.1 but now i'm hungry again and i want to flash a new version.
but i was happy with the old way of flashing, now i'm confused. i don't want to flash hardSPL by now, so i thought the old method is still working, downgrad to wm5 and then using the RUU for wm6.
it flashed successfully (wm5, then wm6), but after reboot my prophet loads directly into the 3-color bootloader.
//edit: trying Cristal V5.1 atm
is there a possibilty to undo this problem? i cant use the old method because i only have a nk.nbf instead of a os.nb
any solutions for me? or is there no way around hardSPL?

you wont get big storage with old methode,.. Why will you use old methode, if the new methode ios much better?
Hey all, this is NOT a "howz to git to Windowze Mobiil 6.!!!!" post, but rather a question about "upgrading" a ROM. I am currently running TNT's Windows Mobile 6.1 Proffesional ROM, and I have just learned that there is any upgrade to that particular ROM, and would like to know if I can safely upgrade to it from WM6.1, or do I have to downgrade back to the Love ROM and then upgrade again. Heres my device history if it helps:
Device=Cingular 8125, SIM Unlocked(using Lokwiz 3.0)
Original ROM=Cingular WM5.0
Current ROM=TNT WM 6.1 V1

My opinion is that flashing the LOVE ROM was a unnecessary step. I never do anything like that before changing ROMs (flashing a stock ROM and the like)
That almost answers your question except that having used SoftSPL your CID block is still locked and SPL knows it so you must either:
1- Flash SoftSPL before flashing the TNT
2- Flash the HardSPL to not worrying about it ever again when wanting to change ROMs (my option - if i had a G4)

I have a question about What G4 safe?
I uploaded a rom with HTCLogo.nb+Splash.nb+OS.nb (I assume that because there is no IPL/SPL it should be safe for G4????)

As you can see from the pics only the IPL and SPL have versions depending on the DOC chip (G3 3.08 in this case )

my brother gave me his old mobilephone yesterday. He told me that he hasn't flashed it.
There ist the old WM 5.0 on it, so i want to flash a new rom. I read some turorials which told me that it is difficult to flash a G4 Wizard.
Now the problem : when i start the mobilphone it shows me : IPL 3.08.001 & SPL 3.08.001.
Is it true that i can't flash it with this versions??
Can I downgrade them?

hello there, in fact i have helped a friend to flash his WIZARD with the same IPL/SPL as yours.
So it worked 4 him, i hope you can flash yours as well
by the way if planning to flash remember to have a full battery charged

you can flash your G4 Wizard without almost any problem if you follow the instructions correctly. Remeber to use only custom rom without IPL/SPL or you'll endup with a paper weight. HardSPL is not safe as far as I know, only SoftSPL.

first read all the manuals you can find on this site, if need assistance tell me!
just one more thing:
get a beer, or a cig, coffe perhaps, because the procedure is going to take about 7 mins (depends on your Computer) dont worry, if the flash procedeure stops at 99% relax, is pretty normal (it will finish in some more secs)

by the way, i was brewing a cup of coffee when the mobilephone was flashed. I came back and everything was done
