I suppose we started today a looooong thread as it happens when rom updates are made available for download..
I'm trying to update from last t-mobile 1.72, the trick at that time (about 1,5 months ago) was to delete operator name and country id with Er2003, but this time things won't go as they should go: started the upgrade with himaupgradeut.exe "as is", and no way; tried the no-op and no-cid trick and still no way, the error is "ERROR:120 COUNTRY ID ERROR N-8-N-N-N".
Anyone updated his Himalaya successfully from t-mob 1.72?

problem solved, was bad operator specified in er2003, should have run himagetdevicedata.exe earlier and opened results file on the pc (on the pda it's unreadable..)

Can anyone explain me the reasons for installing the italian rom?
I always experienced various problems with it, and since the upgrade to 1.72 WWE my pda is much more stable.
OK, the keyboard is missing the "òàèéìù", but is that a good reason for using the localised version? Don't think so.
Or maybe the problems I had (i.e. errors in Outlook synchronization) are due to the fact that also on the pc I'm using UK OS and applications?

Download that modified version of himaupgradeut.exe, and I think you could upgrade himalaya's rom even feeding it with a windowsxp iso as it won't hang on any country or other stupid errors.. :lol:

If you have an ORIGINAL iMATE you should try CDL as Operator and WWE as language...

Use WR2003Edit (download from http://wiki.xda-developers.com/wiki/ER2003Edit ) to change the Italian roms (ms_, NK_, and Radio) from ITA to WWE e from Qtek to CDL (because your Qtek is now I-mate WWE) and you'll be able to upgrade...

Not....this is MY dump and MY assembly of the ROM (just look on file creation and modification dates - not the same). On one Slovakian forum, you can find also person, who borrowed me the Slovakian version of Diamond2, from which I dumped ROM.

You need four cabs for localization only. Just install it, make soft reset and choose your language, without hardspl. Cabs are stored in localized phones in widows folder.

In this DUMP ROM is the Czech language ... Now make a HARD RESET - Volume Down and Volume Up + reset button.You must wait for question what language you prefere .... choose czech or what you prefere and tap to install... after 5 minits Topaz restarts ...finish

I bring my rebuild of an original ROM from my Niki100, in Brazilian Portuguese, with WM6 Pro OS 5.2.1622build18128.0.4.4. The device came from TIM Brazil with ROM version 1.35.527.13.
I used the instructions described on http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=334680 to dump the rom from device.
After, I used a niki kitchen available in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=361274 to rebuild the OS ROM.
So here is the download:

hi, I did this in my nike, but my camera stopped working and was not with the 3G setting, ie no 3G connectivity. I had to reinstall the same of Portugal. is that just could make a rom Brazil unchanged original. already tried everything here in the forum and can not find.

First of all, your phone must be hard-spl and CID unlocked.
what Radio ROM are you using? My phone is Security Unlocked (by me) and running radio version "RUU Nike Radio 1.58.21.23S Modded" that you can find here in this forum. I cannot post the link here, but you can do a search with "RUU Nike Radio 1.58.21.23S Modded"
I you tell me what you did exactly, maybe I can help you, so you can help me too testing my original rom that I dumped from my phone.
what version is your niki? 100 or 200?

The ROM I use is WM6_RUU_Nike_TIM_Brazil_PTB_1.35.527.13 (No_Radio). zip, posted here, are already using other roms, the problem is that I want to use one that is operator TIM and was stationed here, the radio that I use is also RUU Nike Radio 1.58.21.23S Modded and my version of Nike's 100.
Wow really wanted to use this ROM to your nike, only it already did this 5 times and always the same error, does not get 3G connections and camera does not work.

it is for raphael, and here for hermes http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=533423 nice tutorial. The idea is the same, so only have time and test it :-(
If you want to localize ROM , then you need original localize files (LANG 0405) for CZ for all installed application.
For example :
In folder COMMON is AdobeFlash
In filder 0405 is AdobeFlash_LANG_0405
So if you want to use dumped rom you have to extract language files plus you have to have system localize which is in file initflashfiles-dat-all-langs-updated-feb-24-2010.zip (I sow it somewhere on XDA)
With this one you are able to cook localize ROM.
Good luck ( I become to be crazy whit localize, because I am finding more and more thinks to do )

first fix, forgot to cook HTC taskmanager in build 21916, so here is the cab to install, or choose your own taskmanager ( showcase, arkswitch....)

I must conratulate you for your work, you have done the french version of your rom the same day I release my rom ( I cooked it because there were no french roms last week when I searched for my office , we have 3 touch dual running wm6.1)
So now I can put my rom or yours has you have released a french version ! lol
( If you had released this last week, I would probably never have cooked the touchdual lol)
What kitchen do you use? Oskitchen or Ervius kitchen?
Have you resolved the 4second caméra bug( don't know how to explain it) I have done this by replacing the camera exe and dll with native one of my rom, but maybe upgrading my radio rom would have been a better idea...
Last question, why is my total amout of usable ram limited to 85,45Mb in my NIKI100, there must be 100,19 written??? what have I done wrong?? ( page pool or file system cache wrong setting? I just know this phone since 1 week, so sorry for tupid questions!)

Thanks, the reason I start cooking in several languages is that I noticed that a lot of people asked if it was possible to make a rom in their own language, so I started with a Spanish rom and that went well, after that it was the 12th of September and the xda server went down, so I ported the whole day every language from the Mega rom into my kitchen (OS Kitchen 1.31) because I was bored to do something else, after that just flashed every rom to do some essential test's.
Not sure why your usable ram is limited, I use LZX compression and set the pagepool on default.
Never had any problems with the camera, only using the language mui from the Mega in my Niki camera pkg.

Filesystem and Pagepool both on Default, the radio I use is 1.65.30.12,, you can find that one in d_trains thread.

Hi ocman, some small testresults.
I've tested build 23128, if I'm correct you used 2.09 as a base rom, personnally I wouldn't go for thatone just use 2.16 WWE.
About the rom, pretty stable everythings seems to work fine.
Some icon's in the system folder mapped wrong.
No caller id with incoming calls.
There is something wrong with the menu's.
This are 3 small issues, I will send you a pm to solve it.

thank you very much for your investifation, for the base verison, I took 2.09 because its the latest french one I found, but inside of it, I changed everything ( driver and all ) it was an easy way to retrieve some missing 040c mui lol

Edit : Noticed a bug, when you call someone (anyone in your contacts for example "Mike" ) then you call any number, the phone will display "Calling... Mike" A very wired bug. I don't know if you've got it.
