Hi guys .... anyone could help me to find the download link for :
- ORIGINAL ROM for HP RW6828
- ORIGINAL BOOTLOADER for HP RW6828
- ORIGINAL RADIO for HP RW6828
i actually want to downgrade my ROM from WM6.1 to WM5 ROM ...
I have tried to download these file from HP Website ....
but the FTP connection maybe interrupted or something ...
please help me to find the link to download these file .....
i have one of WM5 ROM (don't know which version) ... when i try to install it, the RUU refuses to proceed ... it says that it is an incompatible version ....
is that exclamation means that "this RUU is for upgrading ... what u're trying to do is downgrading" .... so it wont work with this RUU ???
please somebody help me ... i really wanted to restore my ROM to the default setting ... i want to compare the batteries consumption in WM5 and WM6.1 ... because i fell that my HP RW6828 drains the batteries a lot .....

Today i just check on ho website and finally the first ROM update is here, i been waiting for so long to update my rw6828. Now i can update it and hope all the problem we all have will be fixed. So Cheers for rw6828
Of course I have to be a sucker and ask: Can that be burned onto an Atom?
may I add to the above or at least share the ext.rom cabs
The HP ROM only can be use for HP RW6828, i know it was same thing with atom but seem like HP have make something on it device to make use it cant be flash by other rom. try go to hp website but i think u only will find the model with asia hp website.
I will like to share the rom here but i'm a new member here dont know how to do that. hopefully someone will put on here. Register on hp website and it will allow u to download. Cheers
****~~~This update can't change my RW6828 form CHT 2 WWE,I think its still need an unlock CID tools
U can Download the CHT ROM & WWE ROM but u can't flash from cht to wwe or even from wwe to cht coz i try it before. yes like u say u have to unlock it but so far i cant find away to do that. Hmmm still waiting some pro can done it. Cheers

Why not try copying the files from the WWE rom in Windows/Temp after extraction then paste those files into same directory when the CHT rom has extracted then continuing the flash procedure, just a thought and dont blame me if things go pear shaped.

I've try this solution 4 many times.But, the RUU doesn't allow to do this.
I try the CHT one(sp34075.exe), the hpRUU.exe pop up a fatal error message during the upgrade process and cause my 6828 dead thoroughly: no response to powerup & hard reset.
what a shock!!! Hardly imagine that HP even make this ****!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi, i'm using pdaviet sonblack wm6.1 and i wants to downgrade back to the original o2 atom wm5 rom. Because the wm6.1 rom keep hanging and it is not very gd...any pls help??
you can download the proper wm5 rom and run it, first of all it may not work, but run it again and it should then downgrade to wm5
if you search or look in wiki theres lots of places to get information to help if you get any problems

You can flash your Atom Life/Comet with ROMs on this site.
you mean with minisd card .... i know this but i dont want cooking rom i need original rom even if atom life model , no problem

For the original ROM you may go to the O2 official site, as most ROMs here are cooked.
i cant find for this model support or original rom and now i m thinking my dutch windows falled down .. it get me screen to make test for touch screen and doesnt load windows
how i can get original rom for atom life and install it with minisd.... please help me

... installing the official ROM can't be done using mini-SD, you have to use the USB cable and ActiveSync.... You can download the official ROM from O2 and WMG site...

I'm not familiar with the thread regarding pavidet's ROM, try reading their thread if they have problem with this, or you may try re-installing again.
