I must Update this thread, but this time is really the last time.
I have sold my touch dual because i have bought a touch hd. so i finishing cooking here.
i will thank all the peoples that have helped me everytime and how have believe in me. i will also thanks
jerpelea for his hard work and a very special thanks to twolf for his bootscreen (i need you also on the touch hd section bro )
with a little donation for my hard work for the niki users, i give soon a link to my niki kitchen.
for the german people i release my last rom soon.
i am hard working on it for make it better than the last.
i will rest active here on the forum and again a big thx to all

You can always count on my bootscreens for HD, but Im not trading my dual for a HD, hehehe...
No keypad for my precious emus.

as Cloudyfa tell in PDAViet Forum, the Rom is on the way. Just some days left and we will get a really great Touch Rom from Cloudyfa!
At this moment this Rom is already very stable and works very smooth. But they will test for some days more to find out possible bugs before they release this Rom.

You can always change the Home plugin icons ! you just have to overwrite the image files in windows directory!

But I can't help waiting this version instead of trying anything else.
But the cross PDAViet rom is already a very good one.
-> Never seen a cooked rom so fast.
Anyway, fingers crossed about the touch version.

I am on Prophet touch v2 right now. It is a good one, but have some serious problems. Especially the power drain is really a big issue.
I used to use PDAviet WM6 ROM and feel good about it. Whenever this real touch rom is released by PDAviet, I would flash it and stick to it for a long long time.
Waiting is painful...

This Rom is not the touch version that we are waiting for. This Rom dose'nt have the TouchFlo! and it's less stable than PDAVIET 4.0.0.0.5a Cross.
Great job Team PDAViet! Now using the 4.0.0.05a crossbow very stable. Eagerly awaiting 4.0.0.0.5 TouchFlo version.

I have been working on making a perfect rom 24/7 the last 3 weeks and have onfurtunaly not made it and I can seem to figur out the X/ok button problem and I have got verry litle help from the users. But my thanks goes to all those how have helped you guys know who your are. And I have not had the chance to have beta tester test my roms before release.
but now I have a V6 on my prophet that I am satisfied with for now.. but I know I will modefy it even more...
within the last 2 days I have made 2 releases for Prophet the Touch and TNT V4 and also made a rom for Charmer although I've never held a Charmer in my hand.
but finaly what I wanted to tell you is that there will not be any more roms form me in a long time if ever...

now i use the TNT version (released this night..) i hope to try the V6...

For the past few weeks I've been reading the threads here and testing a lot of roms. At first I thought you were eager to prove yourself. But later on I began to realise that if you would go further with cooking roms, you would maybe once create a very nice rom. One that I could hold on to for a long time. The only thing that you needed was good planning I guess.
My advice, go on further with cooking roms but don't let it live you. You should give all the things in your live the time that is needed. Why don't you release once in two weeks one rom. And I'm one of the persons who are willing to test for you. No problem. And I know that there are some others also who are willing to test.
In this way the quality of the rom would become very nice.

sorry for quoting my self but I wanted to make it clear what I want to do. I will not release a rom until I know it works and I have a solution to the X/ok button.... and therefor I say a long time if ever... because at this time I do not see how I can fix the x button

Don't get too depressed... maybe take some rest, put it aside for awhile. Sometimes you see the pieces more clearly if you just walk by instead of trying hard to solve a puzzle.

Not 100% sure what you mean, with fixing the X-buttom.
The x-buttom is allready working. Only problem is the location - the corner of the screen is less sensitive, therefore it requires a harder presure to activate the buttom. This is a hardware problem, and a big problem, for people with 10 tumbs.
I just joined the forum a short while ago. So i haven't had the oppurtunity to help that much. Hope to get the chance, when you have had time to consider what to do. AND HAVE TAKEN YOU TIME TO BE WITH YOUR FAMILY.

Hy should translate a rom if we have an allready translated in our language.
On the other sider, i think tere will be more things to do except change the drivers. Maybe one of the "romgurus" can give you a hint, how to port a hermes rom on the prophet.

Well basicky thats what you'll need to do.... the sys folder is verry much the same for all devices. You will have to port the XIP for that build also... but if that hermes rom is build on a build that is allready for prophet you could probable use that xip.
So mainly you will have to focuse on the OEM folder

For me as a simple man (not a noob) its a miracle how to manage this.
OK it's not my thread but it would be interesting for me too, how this could be done. Maybe, if its not too tricky it could be the easiest way to build roms in native languages, eg. German.

I can maybe give it a try in a cople of day but I'm verry buissy making Prophet Touch VIII right now and have lots of regular paid work to do too

I think this could become the biggest problem at all.
We all speak Englisch an our native language.
OK Finnish semms to be a fzinating language but not easy to learn.
I'm sure you know someone who speaks both, German and Finnish (i hope so).
But thank you for your helping hand. If someone can make the job it only could be you.

If you gave me the basics, I'll try to finish it!
ok I now have a german version on my phone I'll do some more changes to add homeplug with 6 tabs and make it look like touch VIII then I let someone else work on it
But for now i'll flash back to Crystal V2 beta

I think that I can do it all by myself and might just do that I need someone to translate the cube and some other apps and I can make Prophet touch in several differant languages
Maybe this could become a kind of teamwork

i knew you can do it.
For translating the rest of the apps and cube you maybe can upload them so animelover, me and maybe some other german users can translate them for you and upload the translated files. Its only an idea but it maybe will save a lot of time.
I'm a little under pressure but i'll do my best to help.
Ok here is what I will do I will upload a working german version and the files that need to be translated or just text files so anyone knowing german could translate the text but not all apps will be translated because the have the language build into the exe..
give me a cuple of hours and I'll upload a beta

i used to have a ELF and used Bram's Touch Surface ROM for it. I Tried alot of ROMs and his was by far the smoothest, fastest most responsive ROM for that device. Not taking away from anyother cook at all cause they have done a excellent job and Tom's ROM so far has been really really good, but I am looking foward to Brams.

Btw Bram, I don't know if this is currently possible, but could you look into making "abc" as the default input method instead of xT9? I really hate xT9 since I prefer doing "text speak" (sms style abbreviated words). Thanks.

Trust yourself. you're a great cooker.you can give ppls real things.
I remember when I came up with the solution to slide from top to button of screen to cativate the cube on older phones. God and one of this Angels made a app that let you choose how long the slide should be and even put a copyright on it... well it was mine and the prophet comunety's weeks of sleepless night figuring this out... did I or any one els get a thank you? NO
My first contribute to the Prophet comunety was the HTC Camer 4.11 that I spent months on getting to work.. God PM me for it to use in his Artemis rom did I get a thank you? NO
so who is thanking who.
and operantly GOD is doing everything by him self now because.
All you'll see is DONATE me or I need a new Phone Donate me.
so my advise to you Blackdragon_860 is simple
don't mind God he woulden't thank you even if you donated him a million.
There have been times I also felt like stoping cooking but I remember that no one is forced to use my roms and I'm happy that some find my roms usefull
