Help, my athena problem when i want to upgrade from spl 1.2 to 3.5 using michy, for your information mine is spl 1.2 but when i upgrade using michy r4.1 spl 3.5 but after i flash at 95% it say error afterthat i reset my athena and i want to install spl 1.2 r4.1 michy is run until 1% then it restart and it happen everytime i click ROMUpdateUtility.exe for michy r4.1 spl 1.2 then it restart after 1%

You need to install AP4 to upgrade to SPL 3.5
But you must have a working rom installed
Try installing AP3 from the bootloader
If you don't know what this means , I suggest you read the AP4 upgrade threads and the wiki,
though I have to admit your problem is not specifically addressed in the wiki.

MAC Address for ATHENA

but i wanted to know that my ATHENA is stuck at the BOOTLOADER screen and unable to go any further.
for the MTTY process, i need to have the MAC address of my athena.
how can i get it in this situation?
is it printed on my mobile, or do it comes in the booklets?
help me out kindly, so that i can start playing outside like the other childs.

look under the battery cover or in the router logs
if you cant find it use the mac address of something else

Hi, I had up-graded my ppc with Transformer 1.1 and use it for more than a month, until I up-grade the RadioRom_v2.69.21.
My ppc become very slow and checked the hardware setting, it didn’t show any radio version. I had also done hard reset but problem wasn’t solve and try to re-load again but the Microsoft ActiveSync 4.5 can not detect my ppc.
Can any one help?

Never flash radio with your SPL.1.xx.xxx, prophet may be dead ~~~ or half dead.......
1. go to my signature to look for the NVID prophet rom,
2. force bootloader manually then flash it, then,
3. SPL will be = 2.xx.xxxx,
4. Flash your preferred raidio,
5. Then flash your loved wm6.1 rom. (better with my lazy tool... )

Hello everyone.
I've problem while unlocking my Herm(MDA Vario II form Era). I downloaded Unlock_v3a prom forum. SPL updated succesfully to 1.40 Olipro byt while installing Radio it stuck on 0%. Then i have only bootloader screen and I install WM 6 wersion of operator (but without Radio etc because when i tried install full it stuck on 12% - radio install). Anyone have some idea what's wrong?
Maybe it is SPL case?

Ok i want to refresh my Thread. I was reading many articles about Hermes and my case now is like that.
My Radio is working i can talking by PDA but only with cards of it's operator, when i'm trying install Radio installation stops on 0% i try to install 1.14, 1.18 Radio but always with the same result.
My IPL is 1.01
SPL is 1.40 Olipro
Radio ver. 1.05.02.00
Running on WM 6
ok, I made a stupid mistake without realizing it until it was too late: I installed a rom that was too large and it corrupted the whole structure and now I'm with an unbootable device that just shows pure jiberish when I power it on....does anyone know how to fix this?
I propose to set the Athena in bootloader mode and flash the AP4 rom as we did the first time to set our devices in SPL 3.5. I believe that this will repair the file structure and eventually give you the chance to flash any other SPL 3.5 rom after that.

thanks, but if I remember correctly, AP4 rom can only be flashed through activesync/wmdc so I can't flash it from the bootloader....I'll double check though.....
You are most correct lennie, the first time that the upgrade process is initiated from SPL 1.2 to SPL 3.5 with AP4 the Athena should have a proper Activesync connection. But since you have SPL 3.5 already this will not be a problem, I have personally flashed our little wonder numerous times through bootloader with every 3.5 rom that exists, AP4 included, to finally settle with Michy's latest Manilla 6.1, at least until either Avengerpenguin or the Elite Team provide a final 6.5 product.
Te key factor here is whether or not the Athena can enter bootloader successfully.If you can see the three coloured lines and the SPL 3.5 sign then proceed with flashing the AP4 or any other SPL 3.5 rom.
Please keep us informed and best of luck to your efforts
Also something very important.
Before you do anything remove the battery for about 10 seconds and also any cable that connects the Athena with your pc.After that replace the battery again and try to enter the bootloader to proceed with the flashing.
This procedure is literally my life savior for evey time that the flashing process was stucked even if a succesful activesync connection existed and I had to enter manually bootlader to resume flashing from there.
I'll give ap4 a shot

so AP4 is contained in an .exe and I can't seem to extract it to get the actual ROM.
EDIT: does anyone have AP4 rom extracted from the .exe file?

Hope you have a copy of your SHIPPED STOCK ROM... You need to re-flash that then update your SPL to Hard SPL V7. The Hard SPL you have is an older, less safe version.
If you don't, you may have corrupted the radio rom on your Hermes which means you can install Hard SPL V& but the radio (phone) won't work ever again. Even with the SHIPPED STOCK ROM there's no guarantees...

hi guys today i start updating my the rom on my x7500 i made it to the third step where there were a progres bar untill it goes 91% where it stuck for a while and the program infome me that there was an error and i had to take the usb off romove the battery for 3 seconds and then start the device and i do it but when i turn the phone on i recive a black screen with some white lins on the top and some red letters on the bottom and after 2 seconds i turn grey and the programm dident see the htc so it closed. can i fix it now and how thanksssss
note: that i can stiil get the red green blue wite screen by pressisng the camera button and resset so i start all over again untill the progress bar get to the 5 i think and it get me a messaga tha this programme cant used for this devise

What does it say on the bootloader screen (Reset/ camera button) and which rom are you trying to load? sounds to me youre trying to load a rom with the wrong spl.

Now im not sure still what rom it is you are trying to use, it would be better if you just gave me the name on the download link. So go through the start of downloading it again and copy the name of the link. I think you are trying to flash a SPL 3.5 rom onto an SPL 1.20 Athena (yours!). any how, do that and let me know. If you think you are going to use 6.5 roms that are around now then you will need to first flash with the AP 4.0 rom first, however you need to have a working rom on your athena first. so i would recomend you flash with AP 3.0 OR go back to a stock rom and start again. AP 4.0 swaps your SPL to 3.5, but it will swap back to SPL 1.2 if you want to.

thanks again my friend the broblem solved by following the steps on this link (the second post) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=387454&highlight=mtty&page=4 but the broblem came becuse in the ist of roms says windows mobile 6.1 and spl 3.5 and spl 1.2 and inside the lin is says wm 6.5 and spl only 3.5 now i manage to put one but i will try to upgrate to spl 3.5 in order to get the rom i want one more time thanks responderman for the respone
Not a problem, glad you are sorted out now. Just be very careful if you upgrade to SPL 3.5, read the guide in full and follow it to the letter.
