Got my HD2, what now? :)

Ok so i received my HD2, what roms, radios, tweaks, mods, apps should i install and be adding?
Thanks for your suggestions.
start with the sticky "[REF] *Leo Hints, Tips and Registry Tweaks" in the very same forum
that's an easy one to answer - as you managed to navigate here, you must have seen the other fora for everything connected with the HD2, plus at the head of this forum is a truly magnificent list of tweaks and little things you can add to make your HD2 experience wonderful.
I'm afraid there is no alternative to searching and just trying things to see what suits you - my favourite tweak is Cookie's home screen mod. PL Toggle is good too. But others may disagree - just go ahead and see what takes your fancy, there's tons of stuff here.

Re-arranging Launcher icons with Dsixda's Kitchen

Hi,
I've been using Dsixda's Android Kitchen for a while now, but have arrived at a roadblock. I need to move around the Icons on the homescreen, and add some. At the moment it has: Camera, Gallery and Browser. I would like to add Settings and Remove the pro-tips widget.
Any Help would be appreciated!
Thanks!

[Q] ROMs with this feature...?

Hi everyone,
Just asking what are the ROMs that include the auto-hide status bar feature with these options: (Always Off/ Show on Non-permanent notifications/ show on All notifications)
like in this ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s2/development-derivatives/rom-crdroid-aosp-t2435024
Thanks in advance

There must be someone who have tested a lot of ROMs in there...
Mod Edit
"Best" or "Recommend" ROM/kernel threads are not allowed on XDA.
Please test these things for yourself.
This is the only way you will get an unbiased opinion, and then, you can decide for yourself if it meets YOUR needs.
Don't forget to make a nandroid before you start.

Android layout bounds logging

Is it possible for an app to access onscreen layout bounds of other apps , similar to layout bounds display under developer options.
Would use the screen space cordinates..
Thread moved to proper forum. Please make sure to post questions in proper Q&A forums when there is a dedicated forum already.
The closest thing you can get as a regular app is to (ab)use accessibility service capabilities.
What alternatives could there be to gather this info?

[Hisense A5] e-ink display modes port for AOSP

I was looking to port e-ink display refresh modes from a stock chinese rom, Vision OS, to stock aosp android, any, to implement in any possible custom rom.
On stock Vision ROM, the Phone has possibility to switch from 4 different "speed" modes, which tweak the e-ink refresh rate speed. In order from slowest to fastest:
- Clear
- Balanced
- Smooth
- Speed
Now, If you manage to install AOSP on the Hisense A5, you can notice that everything works really good, but that the e-ink display module is only refreshing at his "stock" rate, which is very slow, because there is no underlying settings telling him what to do, like in the stock chinese Vision ROM.
This is what I've found inside stock chinese rom build.prop file
###PRODUCT: for vision share style
persist.hmct.share.style=true
#add for epd
sys.sysctl.force_display_mode=8
sys.sysctl.GLD_Rresh_Count=32
sys.sysctl.GC_New_Refresh=0
sys.anim.display_mode=0
sys.sysctl.dump_epd_image=0
###PRODUCT: add feature for default app settings @{
ro.hmct.default.app=true
###@}
###{@
ro.hmct.panel.epd.support=1
Then, an external app I've installed to force the display to refresh (to clean reset the e-ink display once every "n" iterations) shows this toast notification:
com.hmct.epd.EpdManager.ForceClear []
How would be possible to port all those e-ink display mode and settings, from the stock rom, into any GSI ROM??
I'd like to help! Please anyone!
