AGAIN, this is not the final release. It's RC1 (Release Candidate 1). There will be bugs and there will be issues. We're looking forward to your feedback. We're shooting for a newer build and also newer version for apps in the final release along with any bug fixes the community/team identifies.
QUICK TIPS FOR A GREAT FLASHING EXPERIENCE
- Best way to flash is without a memory card (SDxx). Some say also without a SIM. I personally leave my SIM in but always remove the SD. I've had many devices and the SD will cause problems if left in.
- Always hard reset after flashing a ROM, any ROM...not just this one.
- Relax, even final ROMs are work in progress and you can expect to find bugs in all ROMs. This is all in fun and done for everyone here. Let's be nice to each other. We are not competing against other cooks. We just have a different approach to things, that's all.
- If you can get into BootLoader your device is NOT bricked. Just connect it up to your system and try to flash again. If it continues to fail and others have had no problems check some basics: USB cable, computer settings, reboot your computer, etc.

I'm anxiously waiting for the release of the AT&T Fuze version of the Touch Pro. Can I flash this rom and still retain the US 3G capability?

Smart work on the graphics. Slick and not overly present.
Good choice on adding Beam to ComManager.
Have you I see Bootlauncher and Taskmanager in there.
I have noticed that the Diamond Taskmanager (2_1_34563_100) has the Bootlauncher functionality build into it.
I don't know if this also goes for the newer version of Taskmanager.
But if it does, that would make Bootlauncher in the rom obsolete, losing another running start up process.
Also the same could be said about Streaming Media Player.
The Touch HD StreamingSrcFilter_0000_2_5_1821_922+RtspHandler.dll has made Streaming Player obsolete for me. But i have only tested it on a few stream types so can't say that it will work for all streams. But the streaming directly from WMP does give louder sound then in HTC Streaming Player.
Personally i leave Notepad out, as i do most txt editing in Total Commander anway. (If only it would also allow for direct opening from File association) Just my two cents at the moment as i cant do any actual testing'ATM. I just want this Baby to rock.
Also very cool that TCPMP is included very good addition to have stock in Rom.

UPDATES 0 (September 08, 2008)
- Donations are coming in for team members that don't have devices. We would like to thank everyone. If you haven't dontated, please see if you can. We still have a couple of devices to get for these guys.
- Internal Alpha testing of new ROM is underway. We're playing around with different settings, tweaks, enhancements and attempting to enhance stability and speed.
- Several radio's have been tested for US 3G functionality but none have yielded any results. I've personally contacted HTC and asked point blank..."is there a hardware limit for US 3G on your HTC Touch Pro device or is it software based?". Their response was that there is no hardware limitation and that US 3G wasn't released with the device because it hadn't gone through proper testing at the time of release. This in itself is positive. If you have access to a Fuze or AT&T version of the device, contact us. Just because someone else contacted us doesn't mean we don't need to keep testing and trying. We'll post an update as soon as we've successfully enabled US 3G support for this device.
- As with any project this team works on, we value everyone's input. We ask that if you have suggestions and/or recommendations for freeware, tweaks, enhancements of any kind...drop us a line. If it passes certain testing criteria it may be included in the final release or at the very least included in the add-ons pack.

Hi everyone here is a quick update from the Elite Team just to let you know our progress so far.

Ltxda is still involved however hes taking a back seat role at the moment due to higher priority matters with his family, see this thread.
-ROM Progress:
We are currently testing out the tweaks and alterations being made to speed up the ROM and also to improve the battery life, currently the ROM is nice and fast with alot of improvement over the stock ROM. Currently we are in alpha testing pretty much with nightly builds. Cosmetic changes to the ROM are minor at the moment, alot of the final packages are in and working correctly.
-US 3G Progress:
Working with the ATT Fuze device and the standard touch pros we have deduced that it is not as simple as just replacing the NV items on the touch pro with those from the fuze, some extra calibration is needed to make it work correctly (unless it is really not supported in hardware). Progress is continuing with the issue so dont sell your touch pros just yet

This basically means that some of the best developers and testers are going to work together in an organized and professional fashion to come out with a well thought out and tested ROM for this device. We are a well structured team and have some of the best, if not the best, talent on the project team.

We can start by having people post their suggestions for the ROM. These will only be suggestions and just because they are posted doesn't mean that they will be implemented into the ROM...but we'll do our best.
Also, please donate to the project. We still have to get a few devices. I won't be getting my device from donations nor using that money at all. I've already ordered the device on my own dime since I have a legit use for it. If I didn't and it was only a purchase for this project, I would use project funds. Cmonex has the link in her signature to donate to. I haven't set mine up yet.

AGAIN, this is not the final release. It's RC2 (Release Candidate 2). There will be bugs and there will be issues. We're looking forward to your feedback. We're shooting for a newer build and also newer version for apps in the final release along with any bug fixes the community/team identifies.
QUICK TIPS FOR A GREAT FLASHING EXPERIENCE
- Please refer to the RC1 release thread for questions already answered BEFORE posting your questions. Let's make sure it hasn't already been answered. We want to dedicate our time to development, not answering the same questions over and over. Here is the link: RC1 Release Thread & Previous Asked Questions
- Best way to flash is without a memory card (SDxx). Some say also without a SIM. I personally leave my SIM in but always remove the SD. I've had many devices and the SD will cause problems if left in.
- Always hard reset after flashing a ROM, any ROM...not just this one.
- Relax, even final ROMs are work in progress and you can expect to find bugs in all ROMs. This is all in fun and done for everyone here. Let's be nice to each other. We are not competing against other cooks. We just have a different approach to things, that's all.
- If you can get into BootLoader your device is NOT bricked. Just connect it up to your system and try to flash again. If it continues to fail and others have had no problems check some basics: USB cable, computer settings, reboot your computer, etc.

GSM is for carriers like ATT and TMobile and many abroad. CDMA is like Sprint/Verizon/etc. This ROM is for GSM only. The CDMA version is being worked on and will be released on another forum. I'll get the link to post here so people can reference both threads related to this project.

Thanks to our friend MikeKnoop, we now have an ALMOST fully functional Tachi Phone Canvas that works on all VGA devices, both GSM and CDMA!!!
The list of things that DO NOT work is so much shorter than the list of things that DO work that I'm just going to tell you what is wrong with it still.
1. Landscape is non-existent while in-call
2. Some claim the slider is a little flakey(I personally don't have this issue.

I'm really surprised this isn't getting much attention. This is probably the most wanted canvas I've seen since the first slide to answer dialer from HTC yet nobody seems to want to help.
I wonder if a link to this thread was posted by one of the O.P. on the first page in XBmod's Rhodium thread would bring more people in. I would love to see this too. Sounds like maybe this is holding up a new beta version...

Maybe, you should also ask around ppcgeeks too. I know that more ROM cookers, programmers, exc. are over there.

Alot actually. Nothing that I did to get the slide-to-answer port to work is working here. But the less results I get the harder I try.
I tricked myself. I forgot I had S2U2 installed and a part of it worked like the new dialer. I almost flipped out.

Lol I don't even use the caller ID feature of S2U2 because it never really completely 100% takes over. The original Caller ID is still there behind it.
Well the race is on. Hopefully the canvas gets ported and hopefully the bounty gets high enough to entice enough developers to get this done really fast.
I don't however think that this will benefit most CDMA users over at PPCGeeks though as this is a GSM canvas with 3G Video Call.

If only we had more money now : I got my brand new HTC MEGA for 125 € in a phone shop because they thought there was no way to change the language of the the phone. There were some left but not much...

In the original post, $300 are mentioned for the project. Is that the amount for the phone only or does it include the $100-200 for the developer ?

if the job is done as a reward we can collect another $100 to offer the developer..
The device has to be new ? Even so, like htcshane19 said in the other topic, I'm pretty sure we can find a better price than $300.
I can call the store where I bought it new for €150 to see if they have some left, but I doubt it...

Guys...I'm sorry but you can count my contribution out : I had the opportunity to buy an HTC Magic at the price of my HTC Mega. Therefore, I'm selling it to pay the Magic.

Same here I'm willing to donate 25$ to the pool. The more we will donate the faster we will see the result. It is better to donate 25$ instead buing new phone with android installed.

Hello, community.
Today I was talking with a friend and he asked me why I didn't place a thread to kindly ask the LeEco community to help me to get a very simple Le Max2 ($190 USD) to start developing for it. So I decided to go ahead and create this little snippet thread on the progress.
Background:
As many of you may know I work with Pro3, my current device, X720 model that I bought in late Jan. and started working on it in May 2017.
There was already some bare development kicking there, mainly from Omni developer and Lineage developers. But I wanted something more and as I had the stock Kernel working via minimal bring-up in LA.HB (marshmallow) branch on EUI 5.9, I went ahead and started polishing that base on top of LA.UM (nougat) branch. The result was nice and I got it booting on the first try... then some months went by and I official support on AOSPA was confirmed with the other teammates that helped me with bug patching and performance improvements in Android side, the final result can be checked at my Paranoid Android 7.3.0 thread.
Some people here may also know me from LG G2 forums as well, just in case.
Future:
I'm aiming at new Kernel base for Max2 just like I did for the Le Pro3 - from scratch -, which is called minimal bring up in a more "developer-friendly" term.
This "new" Kernel base will be thrown on top of my already stable Pro3 Kernel with the needed modifications from the open source X2 Kernel from opensource.le.
My plan is to support stock via LA.HB (marshmallow) Kernel for both devices: Pro3/Max2 again, by using those minimal changes, which can be applied back and forth on any Kernel from Qcom (CAF) and adjusted "to fit" properly - also called "port" - as you wish.
This will probably be a good base for AOSPA's Oreo work and will make to official since I'll own the device myself and thus match our support policy for official builds.
P.S.: I recognize and salute @andr68rus for his initial efforts on top of my base and I'd like to merge our efforts with the new Kernel and device tree, maybe with a stable Oreo?
Parallel to it, I may resurrect an "old project" for LeEco devices that downloads, modifies and signs the stock ROM called LibertineOS that you can check on Github.

Heyyo, this is indeed good news! Especially since I just had to give up trying to port to the Le Max 2 because my wife complained I spend too much time on my "Paranoid Android" as she kept saying.

I don't know much about payment methods but what do you use instead of PayPal in Turkey?
I've used AliPay before too but I don't know if it's feasible to use it anymore, I think Alibaba shut it down some months ago.
What I see people using more is Bitcoin for the cases that you can't use other services due to restrictions.
If someone else comes up with a solution or a way to work-around that issue, I appreciate.

Euro didn't work, but donation button worked.

I tried pay with US and BRL, but paypal return one error saying something "that person don't accept your currency"

It's because me and you are brazilians. I didn't noticed this
So, first time I tried from direct link "donation" and the paypal was automatic chosing U$
Now, I send a payment with your email. So I did direct em BRL (R$50) around U$ 15 and then finally works! :good:
I was reading about paranoid 7.3.0 on xda few days ago and saw leeco pro 3 rom and was wondering, aw no Le Max 2 rom. I hope to see some oreo roms.
